Hospitality was excellent. Very friendly hosts. Comfortable accommodation. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Excellent breakfast. Great location.
Nothing.

Breakfast brilliant. Staff were so helpful and so welcoming , more like stopping with family
We booked single rooms which were on the second floor. We had help with our cases but I would probably have had a discussion regarding a different room if I had known as I had new knees last year but I should have asked and it in no way spoiled the trip because there was always someone to help

The staff and owners were very accommodating and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. There was an error with our booking caused by booking.com but the owners did everything they could to fix up the error. I’m still waiting for booking.com to get back to me!! The location is fabulous within walking distance to the city center or local transport. Bed very comfortable

Basic room but comfortable and clean, slept quite well for me. Fabulous breakfasts and hosts were lovely and helpful about the area. Short walk or bus ride to get to city centre. Definitely coming back with the rest of the family on next visit!!
Room situated right by front door so noisy at times but could of been a lot worse if in city centre tho! Next time would just ask not be in that one.
4.7
Hotel perfectly located : close to restaurants, not far from the old center and in a quiet area.
Original configuration of the room (ideal for a brother and sister since the beds are back to back).
The boss who removes the plates too quickly at breakfast.
4.7
Friendly and helpful staff, great value for money, lovely breakfast, convenient location
Being picky but the TV remote was a bit hard to use (buttons almost broken)
4.7
Friendly staff, great breakfast options, comfortable room
Decor a little dated, not 100% clean

Hotel Ceilidh-Donia was fabulous! It was everything we needed, wanted and much more…Kevin, Susan and their entire team pour their hearts into ensuring each guest is kindly kept and cared for. From the delightful breakfast each morning, to the social space they hold at night, to calling taxis and making recommendations…they literally saved us by providing critical laundry services to boot! Their beautiful Inn couldn’t be positioned more conveniently to public transport either-just WOW!
Not a single recommendation for improvement. It was the perfect stay

The staff were lovely, friendly and really helpful. The hotel rooms were nice, clean and cozy and the shower was incredible.
The location wasn't walking distance to the city centre (but hey we knew that before booking).
4.7
Staff was very nice and available. The breakfast was very fresh and good
The facilities are old and the place wasn't as cleaned as expected

Este foarte curat ,proprietari minunați ,a fost minunat!

The view of Arthur's seat from the window was lovely, the host was so friendly and helpful, and his wife's cooking is exceptional. Never had such perfect jammy egg yolks with such consistency
Honestly couldn't fault it at the price point. If I'm being really mean the wallpaper in our room was a little knackered and the double bed was 2 single mattresses joined together but the seem was barely noticeable, and it was still very comfortable.

From arriving to leaving everything was brilliant. We were greered with a smile at reception. He gave us a guide of Edinburgh and how to get about while we were staying The breakfast was good and the room was very comfortable. We would not hesitate to return to Hotel Ceilidh Donia

Super helpful and kind staff, super quiet at night.

Fantastic welcome. Really clean. Great location.

We got a warm welcome upon our arrival with extra information on where to go in the city and a free map. They were also always helpful when we asked something (just this nice extra personal touch).
For breakfast there was a buffet and next to that you could choose between some options and they made it fresh. We got the Scottish breakfast 2 times and it was delicious!
The room was cozy and I liked the retro style. A lot of pillows on the bed for if you want more than 1.
The hotel is still close to the center and all the sights because there are frequent busses (we never har to wait more than 2 minutes) which only take 15 minutes to Princess street. It was also next to the Holyrood park where we did a really nice hike.

Everything!

Fantastic stay. Kevin and his team are exceptional. The breakfast was fantastic and the room was comfortable. Accommodation is accessible by bus routes and only a short taxi to town.
4.7
the hotel wasn’t to far from the centre there was great bus links and a taxi was reasonable and the staff were friendly.
the hotel promotes free parking and this is one of the main reasons me and my partner booked however it is public road to the side of the hotel which can be parked on by any of the residents living there so there wasn’t always space to park. The decor of the hotel was dated and some of the furniture in our room was quite worn but other reviews say it was lovely so I’m not sure if we just had a dud room. The skirting in the shower has a big hole in it and was chipped. Two of the lights in our room flickered and the bed was small, my partner kept hitting the lamp on the bed side table in the night. Overall it was an ok stay but I wouldn’t book her again

Very welcoming hosts, excellent breakfast.
4.7
The breakfast was outstanding. Fresh cooked breakfast every morning and everyone will find something (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free)
The hotel is next to the Hollyrood park which is great to go for a run in the morning. And if you like to walk and see more of the city, you do not need the buses and can walk.
Thank you very much Kevin and Susan, it was lovely!

The room was larger than anticipated and very clean. The man working up front when we checked in was incredibly kind and helpful. We had an early morning flight and I asked if it was possible to get a packed breakfast and he made us one! I was pleasantly surprised with the whole stay. Absolutely stay here if you can.

Everything was really good. Nice quiet neighborhood fairly close to the center, beautiful building, comfy bed, and one of the best breakfasts I've had at a hotel (or restaurant really). Susan and Kevin were so kind and accommodating during (and after - I forgot my phone charger in the room) my stay.
