The carpet was too dusty and untidy. It is very bad room for this price , but found great hotel in two minutes walk distance at perfect condition at the similar price. Felt unfortunate that I saw the good hotel nearby only after vacating from Leigh and at the end of my trip. The toilet wash basin was broken and looks filthy. Even there is no phone available to contact the reception,.had to come down to reception if we have any questions and couldn't even find the receptionist there when I went to give my key back.

Very tidy and the hotel is convenienet for the City and main train stations

Everything was perfectly fine. I stayed for 3 nights and no one ever came to clean or straighten my room, replace towels, etc., but otherwise, everything was OK. The staff at the front desk were particularly nice.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Gave us a ground floor room after an accident effecting mobility .
Great position close to train , bus and underground. Lots of dinning options and takeaways in walking distance.
Entrance hall needs upgrading , needs new carpet but our room was fine . Don’t be put off by first appearances.

It wasn’t my ideal stay but it was last minute option.

The hotel is clean and provide basic needs in a great location. Good place to stay for work and the staff are efficient.

Room small and very, very basic. As a single guest I just about managed. A couple would struggle!!

Was a bit noisy in the morning
3.0 / 10.0
The room was very small , not big enough for 1 person let alone 2 people, room view was non existent , window looked out onto a black wall and a load of pigeons, which kept me awake for most of the few nights that i had stayed there. There had been a small fire in the hotel kitchen on the morning of my first stay so on checking in there was a smell of what smelled like burnt plastic .

They staff were amazing and helpful

Hotel was fairly decent, levels of cleanliness were very good I found. Perfect for what I needed and centrally located, is the hotel an 5*, no, but it is ideal and well positioned providing a comfortable and clean stay for the night. I would recommend

As I entered room 4 next to reception, the pungent smell of air freshener/shake and Vax hits you. The heat was on maximum on the radiator. I had to air out the room whilst I went out. I moved the cheap gel air fresheners in to the bathroom to help mute the smell. Shower cubicle leaked so the floor next to the toilet got wet. Sealent around fixtures needs removing and resealing.
The dust on top of the wardrobe was thick as well as the ledge above the bathroom.
Bed was firm but comfortable

I recently stayed here for four nights and loved it! Fantastic location, clean property, nice staff. It is basic and small, but it is clean, safe and comfortable. I would absolutely book again.

This is a great place to stay. It is in a neighborhood with lots of eating options. There is also a a grocery store and laundromat near by. Everyone was really friendly in the neighborhood. Only a 12 minute walk to the train station and easy access to the metro. Highly recommend!

We liked that it was close to all transportation lines.

Staff was very helpful. Clean place, good room
4.0 / 10.0
The room was at downstairs, below the road level, so people can see inside the room. Therefore, I had to keep my curtain closed all the time. However, the room was spacious for a single room and for a location. The room was clean, and the person at the front was very nice.

Quaint little spot. It’s small but it’s a bed and a shower which is all I needed plus coffee! Great service too

I’ve heard a lot of people say the rooms are too small but I think they’re very cosy just for one person, I’m happy that there was hot drinks avaliable at this time of year! Only thing there was negative was a draft through the window but all in all it’s was an amazing stay

Was a last minute booking, room was small but comfy, shower was a little tepid but I was very late in the evening, plus the room was very cheap for central London,
Bed was very comfortable and clean. Would use again

Another reviewer said there was no hot water. Not quite. You simply have to wait a very long time, as in I didn't have the patience to stand by the shower stall waiting.
The water is not as hot or strong as in a regular American home.
There are two water control bars. What the staff didn't tell me, until I asked, is that the left one is water into the unit, the right one is temperature, turn it towards you to raise temperature.
No lift. I counted 143 stairs plus 5 landings. A staff carried my suitcase upstairs and a staff would have helped carry it down if I had asked.
A staff turned up the radiator setting and said I might have to adjust it if it got cold. It got very cold until I clued in that the staff who makes my bed turns it down nearly every morning. I learned to check when I came in for the night.

Room was tiny. Clean but very tired. Bed hard up against the wall. Looking forward to a nice cooked breakfast but didn't get it.

Paid for a double. It was really a single. Cramped. Good breakfast though

Very central hotel, short walk from King`s Cross and Russel Square. Nice area in Bloomsbury. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I could check in before normal check in time, as my room was ready. There is no room to sit around the reception area and the breakfast room is rather small. The single room was also very small, and the bathroom very cold. I don`t think the breakfast staff has ever poached an egg before. But all in all an ok hotel and the price is fair.

Recently refurbished and largely to a good standard, the room although small was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was good value and tasty.

I felt cheated when I arrived at this place, badly called "Hotel". This is an inn with a very bad appearance. The room located in the basement had the bathroom outside and did not even have a lock, the person at the entrance of the place (who did not even have a decent reception) told us that the room was advertised in that way, but in reality it is not remarkable when the reservation is made and the photos do not show the real conditions, neither had air conditioning, nor window, it is a very shabby cave.
There is also a dining room in the basement, with poor hygiene conditions where they offer English breakfast and where we could see the food without covering all night, really depressing.
However the night rate was $ 115, and they call themselves a 3-star hotel, incredible.
I believe that Expedia should take responsibility for this disaster. Reallyyy disappointed...

Friendly receptionist and our room was very very clean. Small room but comfy bed and breakfast was nice. The hotel itself doesn’t look very nice from the inside or outside but it does the job for a cheap hotel for a night in London.

The staff here were superb. Unfortunately the water in the shower was cold both times I tried to shower.

Not great, uncomfortable bed, very small rooms, one side of bed squashed against wall, hotel very tired needs updating throughout. Not good for disabled people, no lifts and stairs are narrow and steep.

Nice little hotel, friendly and welcoming staff. Our room was a bit shabbier than it looks in the photos but nice enough, and clean. The room we were in has a bathroom down the hall, which was supposed to be just for us. I heard 2 people use it in the morning (I think they were staff members) which I thought was a bit bad. Wifi was free and worked well. Comfort wise: the pillows are weirdly hard and not very comfortable; the bed was very comfortable; temperature easy to control. If you're a light sleeper this is not the place for you though - you can hear the tube/underground vibrations every few minutes, and the downstairs room is next to the dining room so you can hear the (not very quiet) staff and guests coming to breakfast. Also the walls are incredibly thin so you can hear every conversation in the hallway and up in reception.

Our room was in the basement and we could hear everything. Staff was yelling down the hallway and we could hear everything through the walls. Bathroom wasn’t connected to room and was more of a hostel. Also they made us leave the room key with the front desk.

despite not even being on the ground floor or basement, you could clearly here tube trains passing under the building every 4 minutes! Property was difficult to find, as it is actually located in an ajoining road, this was not made clear. breakfast choice was very poor by equivalent hotel standards.

Ok place near Eurostar and very convenient to city centre.
