People were nice and helpful but the accommodation itself left a lot to be desired.
Located on the hill with plenty of student food and bars nearby as well.

Value of money. Nice staff. Good breakfast options
3.4
Tim was a pleasure customer service on check in but during check out time in morning, young beared guy behavior was really none professional and rude. Morning breakfast guy was ok but strange customer service with no smile

Staff very welcoming. Parking a bit tight but plenty. Room very spacious. bed comfortable. Shower didnt get higher than luke warm, but then i was on the top floor and probably need to let it run for a lot longer than i had time for. TV, nice to have, but needed the aerial realigning. Pub wasnt busy , Music, tv, pool tables, reasonable prices. Breakfast was good.
3.4
Pleasant staff, room was boiling, other guests in rooms above moving around all night, floorboards not the best.
3.4
Friendly welcome and atmosphere.
3.4
The shower in Room 8 is barely functional.
3.4
Great place to stay for business in Bangor, warm & friendly enviroment. the Pub downstairs is nice and cheap and the food was value for money.
Also within an easy walk of Bangor centre if you want to visit the pier or one of the pubs
3.4
Good value for money, good breakfast, comfortable bed, friendly staff. I loved the view of the mountains over the houses from the room. The shower took a long time to run warm, but I was showering early, and the carpet was worn in places, but did the job of being a place to stay near my destinations.
3.4
I loved the feel and atmosphere of this place, and the location was very good, being very close to numerous restaurants and a grocery store. The staff here is wonderful as well.
My biggest complaint is that there were some nights were there was just too much noise. There were numerous nights where I could hear the television of the room below me, and one night where I could loudly hear music from what seemed like a party going on in the pub below, which went on until midnight.
3.4
Great location central to Bangor so it's easy to walk into town for retail and restaurants.
Good to have off-street parking and the breakfast included in the price. Being Vegan it was fab to catered for so happy to recommend.

This is a great location for a short break in North Wales. Convenient to town centre. Very helpful and pleasant staff

Stayed overnight. Quiet location . Had a good night sleep. We were filming in the area .

I was exceptionally pleased by stay at the Menai Hotel. The room was clean & comfortable with everything I needed plus a great view of the mountains. Location-wise it was also handy for the city centre. I had a great sleep and breakfast was varied and plentiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great value for money! Will certainly be back and recommend!

BED BUGS. stayed 3 nights and have bites and welts all over my arms and legs face and chest. Dr has confirmed bed bugs. I also saw them in the wooden bedside table next to the bed but thought they were borers. An absolute nightmare as the bites have infected and ive also possibly infected my home!
3.4
Good on price good location
3.4
Didnt get any sleep there were bed bugs. There was nobody about to report to or exchange room so we just had to keep all lights on and try to rest but quite impossible.
3.4
Good location and friendly staff. Tasteful breakfast. If you want to leave luggage before check-in, better email them earlier or after 13:00 when the bar open. I arrived around 12:15, rang the phone and nobody answered. So I need to bring my Luane to Snowdonia Mountain railway and lake railway trip with me. However, on the day of my check out, I can leave my luggage after breakfast and pickup after 13:00 when the bar opens. Good public transport and easy walking distance to ye stone circle, pier, university, library and cathedral. I can have a delicious hot Chinese lunch in a restaurant near the cathedral as well.

We had a very pleasant short stay, rooms were clean.
Staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful
Location is beautiful and very close to amenities
3.4
Staff are really friendly but the hotel is very tired, but that is reflected in the price
3.4
It's cheap and conveniently located with clean rooms that are furnished basically. Really needs renovation!
3.4
Absolute dump but staff were nice when we found them dog loved it though had a bed to himself awful place never again.
3.4
Great place, amazing room size and a very friendly staff. The Wi-Fi and showers (extremely low water pressure) aren’t the best, but still worth the money. Great location - near the station, supermarkets and the uni.
3.4
This is the dirtiest room I have ever been to. The room was not vacuumed before check in, was stained everywhere, mold in the bathroom. We did not stay the night and left immediately to find other accommodations.
3.4
All good
3.4
Rooms were clean, felt comfortable in dining room and breakfast was very good.
3.4
Spacious room with lovely view, comfortable bed, clean white bedlinen and towels. However.... poor quality furniture (drawers fall out if you open more than a few inches) and the whole place needed a good deep clean. Armchairs badly stained. Coffee table and tray were filthy and mugs were dirty - I asked for clean mugs and they said they didn't have any. I asked for a jug of hot soapy water and a cloth to clean the table and tray and was given a jug of warm water with a light squirt of cheap washing up liquid in it and a worn out scouring pad. Sink plug chain broken. Poor toilet flush. Black mould on bath/shower grouting. Low shower pressure.
3.4
The room had mould
The entry door had signs of forced entry
The room was dirty
The hotel outside light lite up the room
3.4
The hotel is “tired”. The people were nice. The shower was dreadful, no power at all. Breakfast was limited, eggs overdone. It was too noisy in the bar on Friday and Saturday night. I guess that’s what you get being in a university town. Good location for sightseeing and good and reasonably priced public transport nearby. I have a video of the trickling shower. Literally trickling.

Couldn't close the window.

Great value for money. Friendly service, good breakfast range.
3.4
Excellent for the price, will book again when I go to Bangor. Top notch breakfast, lovely comfortable room.
3.4
It is fairly basic, which is all I needed. The shower wasn't all that powerful, but it was good enough. I borrowed the iron and there was a kettle etc. It is very definitely value for money. It was clean and in a quiet location. My room was in the top corner furthest from the bar, so I didn't get any noise, but any of that would stop fairly early anyway. Good choices for breakfast. In particular, I had given the hotel a heads up that I am autistic and sight impaired, and they were extremely helpful - checked mobility/stairs before the stay, put me in the quietest corner and described door keys, made sure I got the right breakfast table and kept it in the same place for my stay of 3 nights. I would absolutely recommend.
3.4
It was good value for money. If you just need a room to crash for a night when you're seeing friends or going on a night out, then this place is ideal.
3.4
Last minute booking for work. Good check in. Room was average at best and very dated. TV only worked on 3 channels. Ordered breakfast on arrival at a set time. Toast came out moldy which hardly fills you with faith about the rest of the breakfast. Good Wifi for work purposes was the highlight. Disappointing but cheap!
3.4
Room offered was 2nd floor unable to use stairs

A superb dog friendly hotel right next to Bangor University. We stayed with our two greyhounds whilst visiting my son. Super Service throughout our stay nothing was to much trouble . I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you are travelling with your dogs.
