Easy check in. The staff was friendly. Secured elevators.

Once I got past the gross courtyard and tiny lobby, I was surprised to find a really nice immaculate little room. Small, compact, mattress wasn’t great but perfect for the busy traveler in NYC. The area is perfectly located to walk everywhere but can be a little sketchy- especially at night- so be a bit careful. Come on people - it’s a Holiday Inn! Overall, not bad for the price. Note: Only 2 elevators for 32 stories so during rush hours I’m sure you’d have to wait a while.

I wanted to share some concerns about my recent stay at your hotel.
1. The front desk staff was unwelcoming and dismissive when we asked about airport transportation, making us feel uncomfortable.
2. The luggage hold staff was unaccommodating and gave us judgmental looks when we handed over an extra bag and flowers.
3. As a first-time hotel guest, I wasn’t informed that housekeeping would enter our room. I left $150 in my makeup bag, and after returning to a cleaned room, I noticed the 20 dollars money was missing. This felt like a breach of trust.
4. The hotel’s surroundings felt unsafe due to the presence of intoxicated individuals and homeless people.
I hope these issues can be addressed to improve future guest experiences. Thank you for your attention.

I was able to check in early, front desk was prompt in helping me get checked in. Hotel and room were clean. Only issue was one of the two elevators wasn’t working properly and it took longer to room and then back down. They had it fixed that day and the rest of the stay was enjoyable.

Location was good. Bathroom was very nice and updated. I felt the carpeting was worn and maybe not as clean as it could be (dark color). Drapes were a little worn and could use a cleaning. The area right outside the hotel was a gathering space for street people. It definitely felt unwelcoming. The lobby could have also been more comfortable and welcoming. One more thing was that the elevator was very slow. We had to use the stairs a few times.

Everything was All I needed and it was very Home like

Courtyard outside lobby was dirty, wet & very uninviting. Elevator (1of 2) was broken for 1st 24 hrs of our stay. Waited 30 minutes!! Counter tops at desk & below tv were not wiped down. Curtains were filthy & stapled together. Some days the towels were threadbare & fraying.

This is not the best part of NYC but it is handy to good food outlets. We were very happy here but WiFi was unreliable.

I truly had the worst time staying here. The hotel rooms are tiny, but that’s expected for NYC. The real problem is that we had got our room cleaned after the first night and the cleaning person spilled coke on my white sweater that cost $100, and I’m sure it was an accident but they told me nothing about it. Didn’t leave a note, didn’t tell me anything and it also left the chair by the table top sticky. So I’m not sure why I even got the room cleaned if it ended up dirty. The walls are very thin at this hotel and there truly couldn’t be a worse location for this hotel. The location is far too busy, always always smells bad like smoke and B.O and sewage. There are men outside smoking on the seats in front of the hotel and staring at passerby’s, I got cat called more times than I could even count, there is a lot of homelessness in this area, im from LA where we also experience homelessness but this was on another level. In truth, I definitely deserve some sort of refund because this place is NOT what it claims to be. $2200 is what I paid for SEVEN days and realistically, this place should cost around $1000 for 7 days or even less because it was truly one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a hotel, ever. This hotel made me realize NY is not for me and I for sure will not be visiting again.

We were on the 30th floor. The room was clean and tidy. The lifts were always working, we had to wait no more than 5 mins on 2 dates. Generally not an issue.
Outside was a little grubby but never an issue for us. Staff we very helpful

This is a few blocks away from Times Square lots of things in walking distance, cabs available easily.
Security at the front door, front desk attendant available. Keys needed to get on every floor.
Room was small and to the point, great view, clean no frills, but very good for the price. walls a bit thin
If you are not familiar with New York or any other city currently, then you will be uncomfortable with the people minding their business in front of the building. There was NO harassment, panhandling or catcalling. Just people sitting on available benches, talking to each other. The people trying to sell me tours up and down 8th street were WORSE.

First, Rocky and the others at the front desk are freakin’ AWSOME! They were total professionals, handled every concern and question without missing a beat, and I observed several “conflicts” created by other guests and walk-ins, which they addressed with style and in a manner which refer ts

Room was modern clean but cramped There was no where to open flat our suitcases without blocking the exit door The public plaza out the hotel front door often had destitute people smoking marijuana or loitering There was a police van parked in front of the hotel more than 12 hours each day with police patrolling the sidewalks The Angelina’s cafe next door was great
