Can't fault the stay. Absolute bargain price for the night for such a spacious, clean and cosy room. Great hot drink facilities including a coffee machine!
The only thing I did notice was a massive stain on the blanket at the end of the bed which was mentioned to reception on check out.
But still can't fault the place, wasn't too noisy from the road, considering I'm a very light sleeper.

Our stay was just perfect.
we needed a special room for an old man in a wheelchair.
We had it , with a special bathroom for this kind of problem.
Easy to go from the car park to hotel and from hotel to restaurant. same level ground floor.

My experience was great

I stayed here with a group of colleagues on a multi-day business trip and really enjoyed the stay. We staff and the service was excellent. We ate in for supper on both nights as it was convenient and the food was great.
Breakfast was very good with the best bacon I have tasted in ages - I can recommend the full Cornish or the bacon bap - heaven!

I booked as it was close to the hospital.
Friendly welcome on checking in.
Great room, comfy bed and good shower.
Breakfast was delicious.
Lots of parking available.

It was a last minute thing for a colleague leaving do. Less than 10 minutes from the main part of the town.....easily accessible by multiple methods of transport.
Room was very spacious, laid out well, very well equipped....and even had a nespresso coffee machine.
Very comfortable indeed

I stay at The County Arms when in Truro. Walking distance to Royal Cornwall Hospital. It has a good, simple menu with vegan options.

Very comfortable hotel rooms although Aircon in my rooms did not really work very well.
Pub menu and food is ok but no more than that.

Room was large and very comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Food is normal pub food but very nice. Overall great stay for a business trip

Shower not good
Charging for coffee when we paid for a full breakfast

It did the job. The hotel was generally nice, however, not the best in regards to being welcoming or accommodating for guests.
Would not recommend staying on Sundays due to the pub quiz (if you do, book ahead for a table).
We chose this hotel to try out the St Austell drinks and was left disappointed when a table was not available at any time due to precautions for the quiz which we would have happily taken part in. We would have greatly appreciated an email ahead warning of this. The irony of this being when we drove to leave the hotel during this time we could see many free tables (as well as when we returned).
We were offered free room service as a response to this (which felt like them putting us out of the way a little), however, when attempting to use this, the bar staff were not aware, and to top it off, the vegetarian option my partner wanted was not available!
We ended up driving into town and only used the accomodation for a bed and shower for the night. We had originally planned to book 5 days here to use as a base whilst travelling around Cornwall, which we are certainly glad we didn't (though it was a large clean room and relatively modern).
A disappointment compared to the other St Austell owned venues we have visited in both Newquay and St Ives.

My room was clean and tidy with full tea and coffee facilities. The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable and courteous. The restaurant staff made me feel like one of the family. In addition the food with a view from the terrace made the stay complete.

Stayed for one night with my daughter. The room was surprisingly spacious, clean & quiet with towels, complimentary toiletries, hairdryer, kettle, assorted teas & coffee maker with pods as a bonus. Bed & pillows amazingly comfortable, slept like a log! Check-in/out easy & fast. Can’t rate breakfast as we didn’t eat there but I would definitely recommend the County Arms.

On a busy road but not able to hear the road from our room at the back. Train line out the back.
Clean room and a lovely big bed but shower could do with some attention. Mould on silicone and not very powerful
4.0
Convenient place to stay and friendly stay. Shame no hot water on day of arrival but better the next day. The shower and TV’s could do with up dating. Coffee machine a nice touch
