The property was spotless ,very secure. The staff friendly and helpful.

Remember that it's student accommodation. The rooms are a good size and well finished. There is a gym and a pool on the campus, but it is necessary to drive into town for restaurants. This place is perfect for a quick one-night stay.

Clean and tidy, but small and spartan. Small shower with dreaded curtain in a wet room. Hard bed. Great breakfast

The location is beautiful and very handy from Exeter St Davids station. It is a steep uphill walk from there, but I enjoyed it. My room was clean and functional as advertied. The breakfast was excellent with a huge variety if options.

Excellent position having lovely views across the Devon countryside basic rooms but sufficient for our stay

Fantastic option for a reasonably priced couple of nights stay!
Basic student accommodation with no frills. Water piping hot and room spotlessly clean.
Staff were more than helpful and looked after me very well.
The buffet breakfast was great and a good selection. Some gluten free options are available.
It’s about a 20 - 30 minute walk (I walk quite fast) from the station and also to town. NB there is a very steep hill to the campus so if you’re pulling a suitcase it could be wise to take a taxi from the station!
So if you’re looking for a cheap overnight stay with no frills but safe, clean and comfortable- then this option is ideal!
Plenty of tea and coffee is available. Hairdryers are available upon request.
Loved it’

We loved the university , lovely beautiful ground, lots of walkway , beautiful surrounding nature , big beautiful mature trees which well taking good care of.
Great choice of breakfast , great value for money. enjoyed breakfast ( though hot breakfast a was Luke warm, could improve on hot food temperature )
However, take time to find Holland Hall as several building near by , improvement can be made with clear signage ( front door said reception , however, at time unsure ? reception for Holland Hall or for student reception.
Overall enjoyed staying at Holland Hall . great value for money .
Will visit again in future .
Thank you

Sadly disappointing. We had a small room on the top floor with two small windows - not the full length windows shown in the pictures. So the room felt dark and very basic. Small bar of soap was the only toiletry provided. Tiny kettle- not big enough for 2 cups even though we’d booked it as a double room.
Not the fault of the accommodation provider but the noise from the seagulls was so loud throughout the night that we had to close the windows but there was no fan or other means to circulate the air. So the room was hot and stuffy.
I’m sure other rooms in the buildings are better but sadly that wasn’t our experience.

Considering this is student accomodation the quality is good. Just be warned if you are not driving this property is on a very steep hill. Overall though Good value for money.

It is a nice experience. The condition and cleanliness of the room is good. It would be perfect if there was an electric fan in the room during the summer time.

Awesome setting and very clean and quiet
Bed was very small and the shower while clean and functional was small enough that the curtain sticks to you
Tbh it’s hall’s so wasn’t expecting too much
The lack of any working coffee machine however was not something I was over the moon about
I’d stay here again if I couldn’t find somewhere better

Very convenient for Exeter graduation ceremony being 7 min walking distance from the Hall and having car park 🅿️.
Rooms are small but practical and clean.
Breakfast is basic but fast. Note coffee machine breaks regularly and needs fixing, which takes times.
There is nothing you can do about screaming seagulls, who apparently never sleep. 🙉
There is an amazing view and seating area next to receiption. We made perfect family photos for our lasting memories!

On the plus side the parking was good and there were nice views.
However it is very institutional - no flexibility about check in, breakfast chaotic as though they were not used to catering for more than just a few people and absolutely sweltering rooms. A small fan just moved the hot air round and the windows hardly opened. Not a good place in hot weather. No room servicing, even though an email said it would happen.

Very nice stay. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff. Good value.

The Accommodation is what you would expect from a Hall of Residence, the staff were very helpful and friendly and Breakfast was fine. All very good for the price. My only real problem was the statement that EV charging is available. I would not expect that to translate that as EV charging is available at a dark car park 4-5 minutes drive away, which you can only use between 16:00 and 08:00 and parking is chargeable. (only a quid though)

Nice place to stay, good view of the countryside, room was basic but covered requirements.
Good selection at breakfast but it was graduation period so very busy.
Staff very pleasant and helpful.
If you want to walk to town be prepared for a long walk back up the hill but there are local taxi services

Basic, clean and great for visiting Exeter. The breakfast had good variety and lots of it. Its the views from the canteen of surrounding Devon countryside that stand out.

Toilet did not work and the water pressure for shower was very poor. Very disappointing.

Pricey for a small room with no TV but clean and quite comfortable. Excellent breakfast but no other meals available.

Very small, simple, single room. All the basics, No TV but that didn’t bother me. Good price and the breakfast was great. Oh, and it was very quiet.

Enjoyed our stay. Convenient location for St Davids station. The campus was beautiful and we spent an hour or two wandering around looking at all the buildings and grounds. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was good value. Only negative was the bed was smaller than we are used to and the bedroom was very hot, not helped because the windows had restricted opening. We would stay again.

Would be nice to provide a hair-drier

Comfortable beds, beautiful environment. The gardens around the university were amazing and well kempt. Breakfast was diverse and easy to locate around the serving area.

A comfortable room with a lovely tree top view, and an excellent surrounding aesthetic.
The shower wasn’t very good, and the breakfast wasn’t worth the money.
Overall, an okay stay! Very convenient if you’re going the the University for a conference.

The room was very small. Shower very small. Room wasn’t even cleaned either. Very disappointed. Expensive for what it was. Don’t recommend

Very clean room and the campus is beautiful. The breakfast was good - lots of choice. Service was very good -staff all very helpful. However the bedlinen was cheap and scratchy and the room was as you would expect - an empty student room. This would be fine if the rate was not identical to hotels in Exeter which would provide more more comfortable surroundings and quality bedlinen.

Great option for a stay in Exeter. Great view as well

Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone to be honest unless it was very cheap . Extremely budget accommodation in every way ! No toiletries other than one bar of soap . Budget toilet paper , only one sachet of tea and coffee in a double room . Cheap bed , mattress , noisy at night . Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night . Worse place I’ve ever stayed . At £98 a night we expected a lot better . Parking a nightmare as no spaces nearby and had to park down a massive hill . Loads of steps and stairs . No lifts . Just a pretty miserable stay in every way .

Standard just bed & bathroom but no complaints at all for the price 👍

Basic but clean and a surprisingly firm bed (which I like). Great breakfast.

The rooms are quite basic but absolutely adequate for short stays. The rooms were very quiet and the french windows were a bonus in the warm weather. I found the bed a bit uncomfortable but clean. The breakfast and faclitites were very good. No problems with parking.

We were delighted with our stay here just what we needed quite restful.
0.8 / 5.0
The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel does not have an elevator so one needs to go up to 6 flights of stairs. The bathroom is very small. The bedsheet was not completely clean and there is no TV in the room. If, however, you have work at the University of Exeter, then it is very conveniently located. In the morning it was not very quiet as people were leaving their rooms with doors slamming and conversations being heard that might disturb those trying to rest.

We went there first time . It was good experience . Rooms are very clean. You can see the nice view from the hotel. The main thing is the breakfast. It was awsome..

Great place. Small room, but expected from such a cheap place. Breakfast was great!
