Lovely place with kind helpful staff who looked out for our family.
Breakfast wasn't available, but the manager gave us some good tips, and there's plenty of great food options throughout the city.
My stepson loved it, especially the big bathroom linked to the family room we used.
And our dog felt at home, so was very relaxed.
Its a perfect location for access to the centre, but keep in mind if you're a light-sleeper during a weekend as it can get noisy outside late at night.

We enjoyed the suite and the location in Canterbury. Parking was tight but convenient to downtown locations.
4.3
Lovely rooms with georgian period details: clean and very comfortable but also quirky and charming.
4.3
Nice place, but hard to find for some reason. GPS directed us (twice) a quarter of a mile away from the actual location. Room had lovely antique furniture. Shower worked well but was small. Parking available but limited. Nice shopping though right next door. Quarter of mile walk to Cathedral, nearby a decent restaurant (plus other choices)
4.3
Nice accommodation in a great location. Clean and comfortable. Communication with host was quick and helpful. Close to centre of Canterbury and many bars and restaurants.
4.3
All good. Oddly, no hot water out of sink tap. Like no flow at all. Great location. Easy check in and parking right in front in optimal location.
4.3
Location was excellent.

Lovely little stay, my check in was at 3pm and I had gotten an email from (Ben?) around 4pm basically instructing me how to check in myself if I arrived too late and no one would be there, which was so lovely because I ended up arriving VERY late, the room was lovely, and had everything you'd need. The only downside about my stay at the Coach house was that it was only for ONE night, I'm hoping that one day I can come back for a longer stay :)
4.3
Excellent location and a nice en-suite room.
4.3
A most welcoming place to stay. We shall definitely stay whenever we are in Canterbury!
4.3
Great location, close to the town and train station. No noise in the night from bars. Clean, spacious room. Iron available on request.
4.3
Room service was a bit sketchy. Otherwise very fine, clean accomodations.
4.3
Great location for canterbury - cathedral, high steeet, etc.
4.3
Very clean ,excellent Canterbury location, very helpful people, I would recommend to everyone
4.3
Room was like described as mentioned, bed and shower was very clean however the mugs and kettle was slight dirty, i could not hear other guests in my room however the floor was extremely creaky so i could hear the guests upstairs walking around. Other than that the staff where friendly and happy to explain their procedures and as a very last minute booking i felt i had received value for money!
4.3
Great location to see Canterburys many attractions with limited parking in a offroad location out front. The hotel is a very old so those with access issues will be strongly tested.
There are many stairs and steps to negotiate within and even access to the shower and toilet can be a challenge. Never the less its a short strole to the Cathedral through ancient streets that display both charm historic insight.
4.3
Mistakingly thought there was breakfast. Not so, and the options close by are fairly grim.
For the price and I’m comparison with other, peer places, breakfast is standard and should be here as well.

The mattress was extremely uncomfortable resulting in a mostly sleepless night. The description claims that room 1 has a private bathroom. In reality, there is an en-suite shower and basin but the toilet is in a completely separate location, accessed by leaving the room and descending a few steps down the main staircase past another guest bedroom, where there is a door marked "Private" giving access to a tiny toilet room.
The property is very close to a noisy road. Take ear plugs.
There was nobody present to attend reception on check-in or departure. It was all done by text/phone.
I'd booked 2 nights but checked out after 1 night and paid to stay somewhere else. The Coach House still charged me 80% of the total 2 night bill, despite sharing my reasons for the early check-out.
4.3
Overall very enjoyable stay. We did not have breakfast as we preferred to eat out. Stairs are a little bit of a problem when carrying bags due to being very narrow with tight turns. Checked in late and code and instructions on how to find room were excellent. Would stay again.
4.3
Despite being assured that late check-in instructions would be provided they never were even after a reminder. So we ended up sitting outside for 15 minutes while it was sorted out.
The ‘private bathroom’ was a shower and a basin in the corner of the room and a WC a few steps down the main stairs. Not my idea of private.
It was like stepping back to the 80’s but not in a retro way.
4.3
Helpful and accommodating.
Brilliant location.
Excellent prearrival communication. Thankyou!
4.3
Just what we needed.
4.3
Stairs were substandard and difficult for restricted mobibility
4.3
Nice small hotel, although private but still separate bathroom looks weird, plus breakfast is a bit overpriced for whatever they offer (freshly baked croissants are truly amazing though)

Was a great place to stay in Canterbury. Short walk from everywhere and very easy to get in and out of. The family room, 1 king and 2 twins, was large and easy for our family of 4 to manage. Parking was a great addition.
4.3
Great little hotel. Exceptionally clean. Lovely room with large, comfy bed and big bathroom. Parking in front of the building. Great location, everything within few minutes walk - all major attractions, shops and caffes. Easy check in and out.
4.3
Really nice. Even though we arrived early, we were given a room immediately. We had also asked for a room on a higher floor and were given a bigger room with a very spacious private bathroom. No problems for leaving our luggage for a few hours on departure day. Perfect location as well. Really enjoyed our stay.
4.3
Very central location which was fab and walking distance to Uni for the graduation. Thank you.
4.3
Right in the city centre.
4.3
Perfect stay. Warm. Comfortable and so convenient. Free parking and really peaceful room.
4.3
The room was very large, comfortable and cosy, with a shared loo just across the landing.
Check in was smooth- I received a call from the B&B before I arrived to inform me of check in procedures and a text with the door code.
I only stayed one night and didn't go for the breakfast option.

My room, newly decorated with wonderful antiques and art, was as if it had all been done for me. A perfect oasis for someone (me!) who'd been traveling for weeks. I'd arrived early before the room was ready but Ben let me leave my bag so I could go off and explore. Staying here is really what made the rest of my visit to Canterbury—visiting the Cathedral, evensong, exploring the town—such a wonderful experience. Thanks & Merci, Ben & famille, for your hospitality and friendship. Carolyn

My daughters and I stayed here for a couple of nights and the room and bathroom on the top floor were wonderful. A note to those who are not great with stairs - these were narrow and twisty. But also part of the charm of an older house. Just don't bring tons of luggage and you're fine.
Again - this was probably the nicest of all the places we stayed at. Loved Canterbury and everything was within walking distance.
4.3
The room was on the 3rd floor so lots of stairs, not a problem for us as bags were delivered and bought back down. no AC which is not unusual in the UK. The public room and garden area were messy and cluttered so we didn't use them. The host was very nice
4.3
Absolutely beautiful hotel, staff were exceptionally polite and friendly

Very nice hotel, excellent bed and shower. Close to city centre and uni campus. Very friendly owners
4.3
Perfectly situated to access the shops/bars and tourist sites. Very clean. Would recommend this hotel, to people wishing to either visit canterbury or the surrounding area.
4.3
Shower drainage plump not properly working which lead to water overflow to the floor of the bathroom.
