Area is lovely, room was quaint but very loud both from the streets and people staying in rooms next to us. We had the private bathroom. Take note that it is a bath with a shower nozzle not an actual shower present. Room was very small. Also other than that the area is nice. Helpful tip for the area, make sure you book reservations for any restaurants days prior to staying or you will not find a place to eat nor will they have a waitlist or cancellation list. We wish we knew the seriousness of this in advance.

Convenient location .
Comfy bed
No shower ! Bathroom really small.
Some black mould in the sink hole.
Easy check in.
4.3
We were put into a garret room. The bathroom was essentially impossible to use because the ceiling was so low.
4.3
Beautiful room and building staff was very attentive
4.3
Awesome place to visit. Loved the area and atmosphere.
4.3
The property is conveniently located in the center of town surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops, the co-op. This is a good central location to see the Cotswold area.
No lift, spiral stairs are a little hard with heavy suitcases. Only tub under angled roof, no shower, or shared bath.
4.3
It is a nice place, very clean and cozy.
Be sure to get the access code for entry ahead of time. There is not a front desk
4.3
Lovely place, unstaffed but easy access. Only issue was it was very hot even with a fan on a day that was 20 degrees C outside, so would be unbearable in the height of summer. Fan was in the room, but didn’t do much. Open windows wouldn’t have helped due to road noise.
4.3
Lovely location. Well kept property. Very comfortable rooms with nice little touches.
4.3
Room 3 with the bath in the bedroom is lovely and everything you need for your stay is put out for you in the room. There is no reception so you are given a key code for both the outer door and room door. The only problem we had was the road noise as this went on until past midnight. Stow has a lot of through traffic Other than that a very pleasant stay
4.3
We had a lovely stay, had breakfast at a small cafe called Hacketts which was excellent , just over the road ,
The room was very nice , access was easy with door codes for main door and room door.
4.3
Really large, pleasant room. Just off main square. Keyless entry. Really pleasant.
4.3
Our room was gorgeous. It was very large and the decor was beautiful.
4.3
Great location, free 72hr car park only a 10 min walk away. Lots of lovely nearby tea rooms and shops. Handy to have a shared fridge so we could buy our own food.
Room could have been cleaner. We kept finding lots of dark hairs everywhere, and we are both fair. Our room only had a bath, and the hot tap and jug provided to wash with was dirty. There was a big black stain on the duvet cover (looked like ink or something). We turned this the other way so we didn’t have it near us when sleeping, but it didn’t fill us with confidence that everything was clean.
Rooms weren’t very soundproof into the hallway either. We heard neighbours coming and going, slamming doors and talking clearly outside in communal areas.
We enjoyed our stay, but aspects could definitely be improved.
4.3
We initially thought there was on site parking- but we’re able to find street parking fairly easy
Thought there was a shower but tub instead- we managed with the shower attachments
Bedding g was nice but pillows could be more firm… my pillow.com
We’d stay stay again if the opportunity presented
4.3
We liked the cleanliness and simplicity of the room and the comfortable bed.
The sherry was a very nice touch.
Ideal for a short stay, we would certainly book again.
4.3
Nice property, great location and hassle free. Perfect for what I needed.
4.3
On a rather busy road, but great value if you’re ok with that. No shower

Victoria house has a great location in Stow on the Wold. My room (6) was on the top floor. It was a superior room which was beautifully decorated and had a practical en-suite. My room overlooked the front of the property and had a great view but the road was very noisy outside even at night. I had a lovely stay.
4.3
The room was lovely and the little local touches were delightful and made us feel very at home and also part of the village at the same time. Our only complaint was that the wifi was spotty at best, and our TV was broken. I contacted the hotel and they appeared to have tried to fix the problem while we were out the second day, but were apparently unable to solve it. Overall a good value for the money, though. Just don’t plan on in-room entertainment.
4.3
The property had a smell of dogs and was not well cleaned. A shag rug is not clean and I recommend removing. It’s a beautiful wood floor. There are few outlets.
4.3
The little added extras were much appreciated, a real treat
4.3
Property inside had everything you could wish for
The description of the room is stretching the truth
The noise level meant I had to find another place to sleep
The room underneath said it was road side no mention of my room above only said courtyard facing room 3
4.3
The room is lovely. The bed was very comfortable and luxurious. The let down was the shower and noise. The shower is rubbish. There is nothing luxurious about that. The water trickles out and the base of the shower was very slippy. My feet kept slipping in there which worried me in case i fell. The other issue was the noise from outside. This kept me awake most of the night because the road is extremely busy. You feel like cars are driving through the room. Also when people walk past the window and are talking, you can hear everything they say. If you want a restful night, Room 1 isnt for you. Parking was also a pain. I wont book anywhere without parking again.
4.3
We had a 1 night stay. Compact but nice room. Very clean. Cute decor. The bottle of sherry was a sweet touch, though we aren't sherry drinkers. We had no problem parking. Good communication from host. Close to Stow center. We have stayed in a few places within Stow the last few years and we will definitely consider staying here again. There are 2 points i would highlight. The hall lighting is motion activated and could be seen under the door so i had to place a towel along the bottom. While using the shower you will need to ensure that the door is closed properly as we almost flooded the bathroom.
4.3
This was our third time staying and we will return.
4.3
I did not receive the access code in advance. So I borrowed someone's phone to make a call to the property owner because I was from abroad.
4.3
Our room with ensuite was beautiful! It was very clean and spacious. I loved the wooden shutters and the claw foot tub.
The staff were kind to let us check in early as the room had already been vacated and cleaned. Also, they were gracious to let us keep our bags stowed away after check in for a short bit so we could enjoy more of the town before we moved on to the next location.
4.3
The hosts were lovely and very helpful. The rooms are modern and very clean. We enjoyed our stay.
4.3
Lovely room just 30 seconds walk from centre of Stow
4.3
Clean room and efficient service. Very convenient location. Tea/coffee/mineral water provided. No shower but in-room bath.
4.3
Property was clean and nicely furnished. Check in was easy. Lovely area.
4.3
Beautiful room , comfortable bed. A small improvement would be a sliding door to bathroom not a curtain also a long length mirror with a socket at hand to do makeup and hair!
4.3
Listed under B&B, but no breakfast. No staff on property. Very unwelcoming. Small room. Ridiculous shower. Couldn’t recommend.
4.3
The only thing we did not like was that the towel rack did it heat.
4.3
Great location , clean and comfortable although not a lot of space in the room
4.3
Amazing, beautiful place in an amazing location. Thank you so much.
4.3
Absolutely loved our room. Owners were extremely helpful

Victoria House was in a great location. Right in the centre of Stow on the Wold. Checking in is very easy, you get sent access codes for all areas.
Bedrooms 4 and 7 have separate bathrooms and they have their own code combination lock on the door like the front door and the room door.
All areas are very clean and the room is very well presented.
Would definitely recommend, great property and great value.
4.3
Would advise staying at other hotels close by… We were sadly let down by no running water meaning we were unable to shower, clean teeth or even flush the toilet.
There was also no wifi if you require this for work. There was no help when we were there and no response to our 3 emails and phone call despite us being very friendly and fair on stating the issues.
Good location if you’re willing to risk no water or compensation.
