Comfortable room, very good service from the entire team. One lapse was the sunny side up eggs that were totally cooked through at our second breakfast.

From the moment that we stepped out of the car, we knew we were at a special place. The attention detail was superb.
Very relaxing and it goes without saying at a Michelin starred restaurant great food.
The staff were there when we needed them, but never intrusive. The advantage of a small hotel, everyone knew our name and were providing some great service.

Fantastic hotel, very friendly engaging staff and the food is quite special - thanks for a fantastic stay

Various issues encountered during our stay. For instance, serving of out of date food (see picture, use by 24 served on 26) and room door left unlocked and open after cleaning.
Issues raised and discount promised. Refund still not issued.

second time here, enjoyed the stay again. the restaurant is the main reason we come, but the room and entire building is also very nice. could have something more to offer than just the trail during the winter (activities, spa, etc) but they are still new.

We spent two amazing days in this property and felt pampered and safe every step of the way.
From check-in onwards, staff were extremely attentive and available.
The property itself is truly beautiful, and you could easily spend your entire stay wandering around the gardens and the woodland area, or taking in the sun on the loungers laid out on the wide lawn.
But as beautiful as the manor itself is, it must be said that our two dinners were the highlights of our stay.
Michael Caines is a great chef and every single dish was a true wonder. His Taste of the Estuary menu is probably the best tasting menu we have ever had in the UK.
Finally I would also give a special mention to the exceptional service and quality of the food at breakfast. Whether you like a full English, eggs Benedict, eggs Royale or lighter, you won't feel left out.
A magic stay, thank you Michael!

Bathrobes too small, reception initially said there were no others available! Bedroom had awful string of tacky led lights that went on and off all night when set off by our dogs! We booked a dog friendly room - sensors had not been disabled... Minimalist breakfast, 4 items asked for, no tomato - but I got it anyway!

Wonderful setting, attentive but discreet staff. Food was superb. Would return in a heartbeat.

Fantastic everything was perfect from check in to check out.

Fantastic food and great staff but the bar and dinning rooms could have been a little warmer. I appreciate difficult as it was very windy but the competition is exceptionally high when you get to this level.

Everything about the hotel was exquisite - the location, overlooking the Exe Estuary, the rooms, ours was a junior suite overlooking the estuary, and the food, we had the seafood tasting menu on day 1 and the afternoon tea on day 2.
One tip, if you are coming by train, book a taxi to meet you at Exmouth Station as the only taxi rank is in the town centre.

From the moment we arrived until we left the service was exceptional. We were made to feel very welcome and had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday.

We spent two nights in a double aspect room overlooking the estuary. The views were stunning, made even better by lovely sunny weather.
The room was beautifully decorated, but not over stated and met all our needs.
The common areas in the house were magnificently decorated. The murals on the staircase and one of the dining rooms depicting all the birds that live on the estuary were "works of art"! Any future visitors should take time to view them.
All the dining rooms and lounge areas were exquisitely decorated, with unusual attention to detail,
The morning that we left the hotel, the Manor had been awarded its first Michelin star. That says it all, the food was a totally fantastic. Michael Caines is a culinary star!!!!!!!

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and newly opened. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, though the view is not so great from the garden rooms. The lounge is a lovely area to sit and have a drink and the grounds, on hot days, are superb. The staff are excellent. The food is superb, but very expensive.
