The hotels looks very nice but I found the room and bathroom setting quite impractical. The shower screen, the sink and overall felt inconvenient for me
Breakfast is not included and you pay per item from a la carte menu which I also thought it’s not a fair deal
My room looked over the outside seating area of the restaurant which was noisy until late with Xmas dinners/parties at this time of the year

Lovely place very clean. Nice room room with fridge for n room. Comfy bed. Bit small for a double. You have to pay £50 deposit on room. Get it back by 2pm. After room been cleaned.

I arrived very late, and the staff were very attentive, making sure my parking space I reserved was kept free, and I had everything after my long drive.
Breakfast was very good, even as a coffee snob, they served a decent cup.

Nice hotel, in quiet area.
Drinks expensive but nice little bar area.
Bed too small but room was good size and a good layout. Shower good.

Great overnight stay.

Lovely venue with a comfy bed and great shower. The bar area is lovely, parking handy and the staff were great.

Nice hotel in a good location for all that Southend has to offer. Lovely sea front location for the pier and promenade. Comfortable hotel with bar.
10.0
The rooms were beautiful. I’d suggest getting a sea view if any are available to really enjoy your stay. The staff was awesome. Super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Exceeded expectations. Beautiful view and room. Highly recommend 👌

Really friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Very clean and in good condition. Hotel was a bit hot but other than that very good

Lovely room, friendly barman, lovely breakfast

The staff, views from the Sea view double we had for 2 nights, and the location were all brilliant but the bathroom was tiny, the interior setting in the room was somewhat inconvenient. We were told by the staff that each room is different and some bathrooms are the size of the room at check out. So may be I wasn’t the lucky one or those aren’t available at over £140 a night.
The breakfast wasn’t included in the booking which is rare nowadays and there was no option of a breakfast buffet which was disappointing. Eventually, we decided to completely eat elsewhere. I expected more and was hence disappointed.

Nice location, with a view of the water, very relaxing. Plenty of space in the room, though the WiFi didn't work great from the desk (and I was trying to work).
Walking distance to everything, and nice friendly staff.

Nice place bit expensive for what it provides and breakfast costs! Sea view is good.
Parking spaces are tiny and if the other cars are badly parked represent a real problem. (If you are disabled get there early or ask the others to move.)

This is a modern upscale hotel right near Adventure Park in Southend. The hotel is clean and has a bar and restaurant serving tasty food.
5.0
The room was clean and tidy, and the air conditioning was an added bonus as it was very hot whilst we visited. The wetroom/bathroom was in excellent condition and the shower was very pleasant.

Great hotel located near to Adventure Island. Really enjoyed staying here. Only thing would be to maintain this lovely property slightly better. Minor issues: Electric Towel rail not working, 1no spotlight not working

Fabulous Staff very friendly

Bed size not as booked but the hotel would not honour the booked bed size. I booked a king and got a double, which didn't make for a very comfortable night

Nice room, great location. Facilities need to be maintained, need new shower heads.
10.0
Amazing view from the balcony! Clean, staff were amazing! The area was perfect. Shopping mall & beach was 5 mins walk. Southend entertainment 10mins walk. It was a perfect getaway!

Rooms a little warm and light sneaks through the blinds

Very well positioned for shopping and sightseeing. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable.

Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable.
Nice bar and excellent restaurant. Seriously, the food is amazing.
Good location, short walk from the pier etc but very quiet and peaceful.
8.0
Location ideal with estuary view if required. Short walking distance from the 2 rail stations and town.
Rooms not too spacious but adequate and very contemporary.
Great shower in the en suite bathroom.
Comfy bed.
The breakfast was well presented and tasty, although my sausage was undercooked.
Not what you would expect for the high price.
3.0
Average. Not sure why one would obscure the estuary view with a tv right in the window. Came back after dinner. Thought we'll have a drink in the bar. All doors to outside were closed (understandable as it's a neighbourhood), but can't understand why not switch the aircon on? The bar was simply an oven. Barstaff unprofessional by chucking bottles with a massive crash into the bin, same with some spoons or something they used to mix drinks. Clattering into the sink. Small area, noise carries. Glasses of wine massively overpriced.
Should've have gone straight to the room, as we had wine, and there we could open the windows, and also switch on the aircon, instead if roasting downstairs. Interestingly there was quite a lot of noise from the next door bar, so confused why they couldn't open the doors in the Seven bar.
If a guest tells you it's a special occasion(birthday), then leave a paper or something saying happy birthday on the bed. Not asking for freebies. And check the room. Our coffee station was almost empty, so to make coffee the next morning, I had to traipse down the corridor in my pajamas to ask for coffee and milk. And a checkout time of 11? That's so 20 years ago. Call yourself a boutique hotel? Even a Travelodge has a noon checkout!!! Shame, as it's all basic things. But if you cant get them right... I'll go to the Radisson next time. Certainly not worth it

We had a one night stay and out room was very nice and modern and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
We did not use the restaurant so cannot comment on the food but looking at the menu the prices did look a bit on the high side.
My only bit of constructive criticism is that the overall temperature in the hotel was just far too hot, the bedroom was slightly cooler but even with the window open all night it was too hot and there did not appear to be any air conditioning .
I would stay again :-)

Room was tiny and very unappealing decor
Television on the side of the room so impossible to view
Awful view from bedroom window
Not a very nice or clean street

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Great location. We had a toddler with us and the hotel staff were great with her. We felt very welcome.

Welcomed by lovely girl at reception, very helpful. But wasn’t impressed with room, so small, only one window opened and the view was of bins, food waste dumped and side of a building, very disappointed for £160 !

Good Location
Room decor was okay
Water in room
Limited car park
Very small room for a premium rate of £275
Bed was too small for 2 people - more a small double for one person - again for the price should be a decent size double
TV too low - cannot see bottom third of screen as too low on stand against the foot of the bed
TV blocked out sea view
No area to put cases
very small hospitality table in cut out of room
side tables right next to bed - kept knocking elbow on glass edge
Poor dinner service
asked for the red wine to be left open - waiter poured it out - struggled with English
Bernaise sauce was cold - not fresh - ruined meal for 2 as had to wait for wait for new sauce
Cold latte
Had to be inside off the patio area by 9pm - then 10pm - was told this mandate was on the website - could not find this notification anywhere - staff member came out looking at his watch when another colleague told us we could sit outside - not very hospitable when paying over £400 for bed and dinner without breakfast - breakfast was an extra charge - this should have been complimentary.
Night sleep was constantly interrupted with banging of doors and general hotel noise
when checked out - no how was your stay - just paid the bill and left - very forgettable experience - will not be returning - poor value for money

Staff were lovely. Was very dissapointed that we couldn't get a table for dinner in the restaurant even though we were staying their. Although limited to the bar menu, food was very nice.
Bed was exceptionally hard so didn't sleep well.
Hotel should let guests know they have to book for dinner.

Fabulous, our room 402 had a huge balcony with views over the estuary and of the pier. Staff were very friendly and attentive, evening meal of sharing steak was cooked exactly as we like it and breakfast was also very nice, highly recommend the full English for the hungry or sausage muffin. The location is also great, up on the cliff away from the noise but only a short walk to the lift and no more than 5 minutes walk to the pier. My only suggestions to make this perfect would be to make a little more of the balconies with some high end table and chairs and some instructions for the shower, first use was interesting :) Thank you for making our break in Southend stay wonderful.
