A very beautiful and stylish hotel conveniently located by the highway. This is one of the few hotels where the pictures don’t even do it justice. The lobby and rooms were bigger than expected. One small thing was it looked like the shower wasn’t cleaned as well as I should have been. I noticed some residue in the corners. Other than that, I just love Indigo Hotels, they never disappoint.

This is a comfortable hotel with large rooms. The staff was helpful, and check in was smooth. There is not much to walk to in the area, but there is a very nice on site restaurant and bar. I'd stay here again!

We booked a double queen bedroom plus a sofa bed. The room quality (2nd floor) is good, except we were not told there was a party downstairs until bedtime. The room was changed after my argument, but we were downgraded to a smaller room on the 5th floor, plus breakfast tickets. We did not notice that we would sleep next to a noisy air conditioner. The noise in the room from the room and the noise from the traffic outside the room left us with a negative experience in this hotel. The worst part was the senior lady's attitude to my request when I complained about the noise and discussed possibly changing back to the original room at 11:30 pm. She refused for irrelevant reasons that irritated me. The next morning, this room had a burning smell; security and a technician arrived and arranged for a room change before we checked out. Anyway, we felt nice about the cleanness of the room and the male staff's friendly attitude. We felt fair for the breakfast tickets as compensation for the party night but felt negative about the front desk ladies' attitudes and the noise within (the air conditioner) and from outside (too close to the road).

Friendly staff and convenient shuttle to campus from hotel. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We would definitely stay there again!

Overall, my stay was very good. The hotel is relatively new, very clean and modern, with comfortable beds and an amazing walk-in shower.
There are some hidden fees at this place, including parking, which was about $27. Also, the in-house restaurant is very good, but because it’s the only restaurant around this property, it’s a little pricey.
There was a slight problem with my reservation when I arrived, largely due to a miscommunication given to me by the third-party booking app that I made the reservation through. While the issue eventually got sorted, the staff of the hotel didn’t seem very understanding and didn’t make me feel welcome at the property.

We were given a second floor room that was right up against an expressway. (The expressway was level with the second floor.) There was zero soundproofing and the solution was to provide earplugs in the room. I was up eleven times due to truck traffic noise. It was absolutely miserable. The hotel was definitely not full. The restaurant closed much earlier than advertised. The towels were hard & seriously scratchy. We were given 2 washcloths in total. The evening staff were rather unfriendly.

Attended a wedding nearby & this hotel was recommended by the couple. Our room (King bed) was HUGE, and had everything we needed. Particularly loved that there's a communal balcony so you can "stay in" and still enjoy the weather.
There is parking nearby so paying for their parking lot is not a must; free coffee in the Lobby in the mornings (wish I knew that earlier); and yes, the hotel abuts the highway, but the traffic noise isn't overwhelming (unless you live in the boonies & are used to dead silence I guess).

room 402 is near the highway and is noisy at night. Ear plugs were provided. However for me they were uncomfortable. Other than that I recommend the hotel

Please be advised that rooms on the back of the hotel are adjacent to a busy highway.

Shower head did not work and staff insisted that we just didn’t know how to turn it on.
“Fresh foods” such as yogurt, sandwiches, and fruit were all expired.
I’ve stayed at a Hotel Indigo before and I expected way better than this. I told the front desk about the things mentioned above. They were apologetic but still did nothing for me.
Side note: if you are a light sleeper, do not stay here as the hotel is right off the highway and you hear heavy traffic the whole night. The hotel leaves ear buds in the room for this purpose. There’s nothing they can do about that so I didn’t complain, but just a warning to those who can’t sleep through loud noises.
Also, parking is $30 which I was unaware of at the time of booking, so that sucked.
Overall, will not be staying here again when I visit Pittsburgh.

Hotel Indigo is located right next to a busy highway, if loud traffic noises at night bother you, avoid this property. Hotel has plumbing issues. Our toilet was backed up causing it to stink. Hotel’s management is poor. We asked us for a different room, but there were no rooms available. We checked out early to move to a different hotel and management offered no price adjustment because we booked through Expedia. One restaurant on premises but the service is poor. Hotel is understaffed. It’s a shame to see hotel offering poor unsanitary accommodation because hotel looks newly renovated and modern. I think management is the real issue, hopefully the franchise does something about it because property has the potential.

Great place to stay while visiting our daughter at Pitt.

The rooms facing the highway should be better sound proofed. Providing ear plugs is a nice amenity. However, the traffic noise can still be heard and can be jarring.

Nice room, clean, comfortable bed.
We got to the bar at 9:30PM and the bar tender/waitress informed us that she just closed the restaurant early because they were "too busy". A man next to us said she was complaining about being so busy since he got there at 8:00PM and she was complaining the entire time we were there but there were only 8 people at the bar and 2 table of 2 people. She would most likely walk off the job if she was at an actual busy bar. She also called last call at 10:00PM. The hours for the bar/restaurant are not published and they didn't inform us at check in. Also, there is no "Review View" as there are buildings obstructed the view.

The hotel shuttle downtown to and from the Pirates' game was a key and much appreciated perk. I wish that parking was free, given the location, but, oh, well. Nice place.

The property was beautiful, but very noisy. We arrived at 12:30am, after a long 6 1/2 drive. We just wanted to sleep, but the music from the outdoor patio below made that difficult. In the morning the traffic woke us up at 6:00am. I guess we should have known noise was a possibility when there were complimentary earplugs on the nightstand. Lesson learned.

Jacque was friendly and professional. Shuttle Driver Vito was as well. Definitely recommend and return next time in Pittsburgh.

Beautiful hotel that holds a lot of respect for the hard work that Pittsburgh is known for, including lots of old machinery parts from the old steel mill it's built in. Definitely a quieter area but not far from anything at all. The staff were all awesome, and my room was perfect. Definitely coming back!

parking was convenient, though a bit pricey.

Great space and fun stay

Very pleasant. Great to have a bar but would have preferred a simple light buffet breakfast option rather than sitting down in a restaurant and ordering from thexrestaurant kitchen

It is a good location close to the Universities and local bus Transit routes. The 57 Bus stops right in front of the INDIGO Hotel.
Plus there is the Hotel Shuttle Bus that is convenient for attractions around town.

Clean and comfortable rooms. The only suggestion is, if you are going to charge for parking, there should be someone to park the car.

Our only complaint was the traffic noise. Horrible.

Very Convenient to both University of Pittsburgh and all the downtown activities, including PNC Park & Acrisure Stadium. Great for pets. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
