Located right on the water in a quiet and rural part of the state, this gorgeous and relaxing home on three acres welcomes you and your guests to Allyn, Washington - one of Puget Sound's best kept secrets! The home was originally built in 1971 and has undergone two significant updates (the most recent in 2015). The prior owners completed most of the updates and had the home for 25 years! Before them, the house was owned by football coach Don James and his family (Go Huskies!).

Feel creative with your food in this well-equipped island kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances and counter seating for four, while formal meals can be enjoyed together in the adjacent dining area. Just a few steps away you can enjoy a nice seat while relaxing, and stream Apple TV with local channels and streaming capabilities for Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and (with guest accounts).

The property itself was wonderful. Great location, gorgeous house, tons of wildlife around. We loved sitting on the deck and looking at the views and paddling in the water. Only negative is the property is hard to find and the sign is barely visible. The management company for this property is pretty awful though. Pre-arrival, I had some questions and each time, they took several days to answer. We had no idea if early check in would be available until noon on the day of arrival. On our way there (which was already after check in time), I got a call from a local employee telling me that the hot tub needed to be refilled and wouldn’t be available that night. Also, the septic tank alarm was going off, but they reset it and it shouldn’t be an issue. For the inconvenience I was told they would give me a $50 credit. Several days into our stay, we went to throw out trash and found that non of the trash bins were emptied so we had nowhere to throw things away. It took almost all day of texting with the property management to get someone to come and empty them. Also, at one point I had a question about the fire pit on property and they kept telling me it wasn’t part of the property, even though I was staring straight at it and it was in the pictures on the listing. Now it’s been almost a month since we left the property and still no credit. I’ve spent days going back and forth with the management company again asking about the credit. Still nothing.

This home worked great for our family of five. The kids really enjoyed having the basement to themselves and having games and ping pong for entertainment. The house has a great layout and well thought out amenities. We would love to return in the future; just hoping for less sticky sap that was dropping from the trees hanging over the deck. Overall great house with wonderful views and water access.

This home is in a quiet area with very beautiful scenery. From the overgrown, but charming driveway, to the waterfront, and the views of Mt Rainier, you are definitely going to feel at one with nature. We found the condition of the property to be a bit laxed. The carpets are all a little dirty and we were very disappointed a few housekeeping issues when we arrived (trash not removed from previous renters, sheets appeared dirty on the bed in the lower level, and tree sap and seeds were present on the couches and tables on both decks). I think these issues are all easily corrected by the owners if they ensure better cleanliness for the renters.

We had a great time! The view of the bay was beautiful. The house is very spacious, the hot tub was refreshing and fire pit on the beach was well used! The bedrooms were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals.
We are definitely coming back!

Beautiful house with tremendous views of Mount Rainier across North Bay. Loved how peaceful and quiet it was. Would definitely rent this house again next time we are in Allyn visiting family.

We loved the beach. If you would like to clam, bring your own equipment.
Next time we plan to rent kayaks to have during our stay.
The home has lots of space. It boasts a beautiful kitchen with lots a prep room. Dining right next to the kitchen or outside on the upper deck. Outdoor couches and fire table. Hot tub with a view of the bay.
The home faces dues east, on a clear day you can see Mount Rainier.
Morning sun will have you up and ready for the day. For those that would like to sleep in, the good news is the bedrooms are west facing. Plenty of room for 3 cars. Flat easy access from the car into the home. Only 1 step up.
We hope to someday return.
