Nicely located hotel in Dunlaoghaire. Close to a the promenade and the DART rail system. The hotel is situated in very nice groundswhich encourages you to sit outside and enjoy the good weather.
The hotel itself is well run and the staff are friendly.

The staff at Haddington House were amazing! They gave great recommendations of places to see, and helped me figure out public transportation in the area. And they were all so so so kind! The location was also very convenient. Within walking distance of a lot of shops, but also close to bus stops for the longer treks.

Our first introduction to Ireland. A perfect location. Views of the harbour and close to cafes and shops. A 20 minute train ride into the heart of Dublin city. About a 5 minute walk to the train station. The Hotel is beautiful with SO much character and welcoming charm. The staff are very efficient and helpful. This is an older style hotel with much history but also with modern facilities. We stayed for 4 nights and were just a little bit sad to leave. A very big yes to anyone thinking of staying there.

Really enjoyed our stay. We had a nice ocean view and the area around the hotel was perfect for relaxing and strolling with easy access into the city.

My stay was basic, the room was close to the lift very noisy, you could hear chatters and doors slamming. I was not able to rest after a long flight. Room was musty and outdated. Staff were not friendly, when we asked for a room change we were told that they were fully booked. Location was great for shopping. I would not recommend.

I love Haddington House, my second home in Dublin. And I can confirm they served the best Irish breakfast in town.

Hotel is decorated perfectly with lots of wonderful couches and areas to sit and enjoy a beverage with friends. Rooms were comfortable, very clean and simply perfect. Would stay here every single time I come to Dublin.

A very nice boutique hotel; pleasantly located close to the center and the harbour; rooms are nice but rather small, so are the queen-sized beds. Very nice and helpful staff, excellent restaurant.

Lovely location by the sea. Easy 5 min walk to shops, restaurants and pubs. Loved the 15 minute walk to Sandycove along the sea front from outside the hotel,. Rooms were tradition and very cosy, the staff were super friendly.

Another amazing stay in a firehouse hotel with amazing staff and great food and drinks

My only issue with the stay was that the hotel was inaccurately described on Hotels.com as having a pool, so we planned to have a swim on the morning before checking out. This wasn't the hotel's fault, and it's probably the only time in many years of using Hotel.com that I've ever had an issue with a listing. However, the price I paid did reflect my belief that it had a pool.
Having said that, the hotel was in an ideal place for our visit, the staff were lovely, and the room was one of the best we've stayed in for a long time, in terms of cleanliness and comfort (though the shower temperature did fluctuate). Overall, we really liked the place.

I cannot sing enough praises about Haddington House! It is the loveliest hotel that I have ever stayed in! I have stayed in 4 and 5 star resorts and Haddington House does not have all of those resort amenities like a water park, a fitness center, or a casino. BUT it is a beautifully and uniquely designed hotel with a very fascinating history. The entire hotel is immaculate and it is truly a work of art. It’s a small boutique hotel which provides an intimate, quiet experience. It’s across from Dun Laoghaire Harbor so it is very safe, very quiet, and very peaceful.
The hotel has stunning views. There is a wonderful restaurant, Oliveto, inside the hotel and it is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is made to order and it was absolutely delicious and you get to stare out at lovely Dun Laoghaire harbor and the sea while enjoying a cup of tea.
The hotel was an easy 5-7 minute walk from the shops and cafes in Dun Laoghaire and Dun Laoghaire train station. There is also a bus stop close by. You can easily get to Dublin city center in 20-25 minutes on the DART train.
Emma and the staff at Haddington House are absolutely wonderful. They are very warm and kind and they made my stay so special and comfortable. My stay at Haddington House was one of the highlights of my 4 week long trip around Ireland and the UK.
I really hope to visit Dublin again in the future and Haddington House is my first choice for any future stays in Dublin.

A very comfortable stay in a wonderful location. The surrounding area is fabulous and you are easily connected to Dublin central with the Dart train service, bus or taxi. The quality of service, the drinks in the cocktail bar and the restaurant is first class as is what they serve. The breakfast will certainly set you up for the day!

Beautiful area and beautiful hotel! Upon arrival the guest services was lovely, she recommended we see their restaurant for a meal as we arrived late. The staff at the restaurant were accommodating to my husbands dietary restrictions. Our room was excellent, clean and spacious. The ability to purchase some of the products we used was wonderful as it was our first visit to Ireland. Now we can take home a piece of Ireland with us. Would stay again. Beautiful accommodations and area. 3 minutes from the beach!
