Amazing staff and facilities

Amazing staff and great arrangements for kids including an afternoon kids club. We got an upgrade on the room which was huge, with comfortable beds. All the staff was hugely helpful, giving us advice and explaining everything about the hotel and surroundings.

It’s ok if you have a car otherwise difficult to reach.

Fabulous stay in Galway with kids

This hotel is so family friendly. There is a games room. There was an Easter treaure hunt and the Easter Bunny even made an appearance! The food was incredible. The staff were excellent and so friendly. We will be back!

Could not get better staff if they tried including management. just pitty about the heating

Brilliant for kids, staff fantastic, food was delicious and spotless clean.

The heating was not working in our room it was extremely cold in the room due to this we had a very bad nights sleep as we had our 9 month in the room with us who found it very hard to sleep so did our 12 year old very very cold night on top of all this

Really enjoyed our stay at Maldon, great staff, but food very average.

Really friendly staff. Our first room was close to pool outlet which was quite noisy but we were moved without any issue. Facilities were great especially the inclusion of the pool in our stay which the children really enjoy,

Had dinner on 1 of the 2 night and tbh the food wasn't great but convenient after a long day.

The Maldron Hotel & Leisure Centre, Oranmore is a pure gem. Our first impressions were very positive when the reception staff were able to change our room allocation because we had arrived early. The room we were to have was not ready. This was not a problem to Meida. In a blink of an eye she had another room allocated to us. The room was excellent, large and roomy with a nice sized ensuite. Though on a busy roundabout the noise level was quite acceptable. We were being joined by family for dinner later. We could not be guarenteed seating for nine adults in the bar but no fear Karyn the dining room manager set aside a table in the dining room even though the restaurant is generally not opened on Saturday. This was very successful, as with a family gathering we were a noisy bunch with several conversations going on at the same time. Problem solved.

When we completed an online check-in, the drop down menu options for arrival began at 4.00pm. We would have preferred an earlier time. Hence when we arrived at 3.00pm we were told we were too early. Could these options be changed slightly. The bar prices seemed a bit pricier than the norm. A glass of Sauvignon Blanc at €8.50 and a pint of Carlsberg at €6.90 is a wee bit saucy.

Late check in. I explained to the lady that my husband and daughter would be there. Running late as they out sea fishing for my daughters 12th birthday that day. She turned 12 that day and also caught the biggest fish. The lady said her father also a fisherman. When my husband and Aimee arrived the lady not only congratulated my daughter on her big catch, she also wished her a Happy birthday. Big respect for this lady behind the phone call. She went above her duty to even remember what I had said and remembered her birthday 🎂. It's always the little things that matter. I can't remember the ladies name but the phone call was made at 19.01. Thank you to this wonderful lady. Its the 1st thing Aimee said to me when she phoned me after checking in 💕💕

The restaurant/ bar , was poorly staffed or staff didn't appear to know what they were doing . The food was good but by the time u got served it had ruined the occasion

Good food & location but is it really four stars?

clean comfortable rooms with very good food for dinner & breakfast.

the room facilities were pretty basic for a four star hotel. no water in the room, no extra soap or vanity kits, no face cloth or slippers - all of which I would have expected for a four star hotel. Bed was comfy & room was clean but nothing that stood out for me as a four star hotel.
