We stayed one night (2nd November) to attend the Guy Fawkes Bridgwater Carnival. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very clean and bed comfortable.

Nice room with comfortable bed and great shower. Superb breakfast with lots of choice. Helpful and attentive staff.

Always a pleasure to return to the Walnut Tree. Staff are amazing and the food outstanding, with a vast choice at both dinner and breakfast.
Easy access from the M5, with a Tesco Express and a beautiful church opposite, which is well worth a visit.
This was our 4th stay and we would not hesitate to return.

Lost count, how many times i have stayed here.

Hotel had ample parking. Staff were friendly
Room was comfortable and spacious. One of the lights in bedroom was flickering a bit. We did not complain as we were only there one night
Breakfast was nice. No filling with good choice.
Only negative was a bit of a smell in reception and corridor. To be fair there had been a lot of rain that day so it may have been something to do with that

Everything was good relaxing staff were very helpful all good.

Weather was very poor unfortunately but the hotel was excellent, the room was first class and there was an excellent bar.
Poor weather and cool temperatures in early September would catch out any establishment and so it would be fair to say we were quite cold at times.
The restaurant was good but would benefit from a little more organisation as far as members of staff were concerned.

Had a lovely weekend here to celebrate 40 years of being a couple (just girlfriend and boyfriend before advancing to engaged and then married).
We had the Presidential Suite. Really surprised by the sheer size of the suite. 2 x TV's, shower/bath and 2 x washbasins. Humongous bed and a Corby trouser press in the bedroom as well.
We had dinner on the first night in their restaurant. The meal portions were elgenerous and well presented. I can normally do a 3 course meal, but we were unable to order a dessert as we were full. For me, they also had a nice beer called "Otter Ale".
We were intending to eat in their restaurant on Sunday as well, but as the main al la carte menu had been swapped to a Roast dinner type, we dined elsewhere as Restaurant/pub roasts is not a meal we enjoy (personal preference and nothing to do with the hotel).
All the staff were very helpful, polite and not in your face when eating or drinking.
The Manager - Daniel, tried to point out where we could buy Otter Ale from but wheee he said - did not sell it - although Morrisons in Bridgewater did, luckilly!
The breakfasts were all very tasty and presented nicely, although I fid find that the large white square plates that the full English was served on was to big for the table and I had to ask for for the smaller plate.
Would we stay there again? Yes, very much so!

We booked this hotel as a stop through on the way to South Devon and was really only a place to lay our heads.
What a place it was.
The staff were so friendly, happy to help and nothgin was too much trouble. The accommodation was lovely and big with a very comfortable bed and a great shower.
All in all a great find and if we're ever that way again, then we'd absolutely stay again/

Great service from all staff

All good except, the toilet was a little dirty on arrival and the english breakfast very poor given only one sausage and one bacon, really not worth the money

Nice stay for such price. Good location and very tasty breakfast! All was great, I will definitely stay here once again if I travel nearby.

Lovely hotel. Staff were efficient & friendly. Room was spotless & very comfortable. The ingredients for the cooked breakfast were really excellent. My only slight negative was a berry compote would have been nice as part of the buffet selection. I highly recommend this hotel & will definitely be staying there again.

A good hotel with good service.

Check in at 2pm was disjointed and not a smooth process. The manager was trying to serve at the bar, manage front of house for the restaurant and in-between that deal with the cleaning team's and run the check in desk via a mobile phone and unattended desk. The bedroom had a smell of decay/mould. Clean linen but the smell kept me up at night. Breakfast was passable but sausage was Luke warm and toast a tad cool. The hotel has seen better days...

This property is easy to find with straightforward parking. My room was much larger than expected with a family bathroom for an en suite. The property is a little dated but acceptable. My bed was comfortable and the sheets fresh n clean. Breakfast choice was excellent and lovely views of honey coloured church from the window while you eat. The lady who served breakfast was excellent, just the perfect person for the job. My coffee was good and i enjoyed the well presented vegetarian breakfast, but would have preferred a vegetable sausage instead of soya protein sausage. The only other suggestion for improvement would be liquid hand soap in the en suite as i didnt want to open a new bar of soap just for a short stay.

This property was hard to fault. Large room with everything we needed. We had a room on the road which brought in traffic noise. An exhaust fan in the ensuite would be nice. Other than those two things it was great.

The staff were great - helpful and polite.
The accommodation was dated, but clean and comfortable.
Plenty of car parking, and EV chargers were available, but very, very expensive to use.
Best Western need to update this hotel, as it’s stuck in the 90s.

Lovely location. Quiet - occasionally interrupted by the curch bells from across the road - added charm for us. Excellent food, friendly and efficient staff. Very good price. Would stay here again.

Arrived at 6pm but reception not manned (but instructions as to how to call); eventually 2 people came. Room was a suite- larger and more comfortable than expected. Dinner was pleasant with enough variety on menu; service was most attentive.

Great huge space in room. The property was clean and tidy, however felt the furniture was more suited to longer stays rather than hotel short stays. Could have done with alternative access after checking that was closer to room.
