Amazingly friendly staff, convenient location in the old town. Would recommend!

Great location, friendly staff. Quaint. My only complaint is there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow and steep.

Right on the square on the middle of the old town, it’s in a great location. Very friendly staff and a nice breakfast.

Friendly staff, great location!

In the heart of the city. Wonderful staff. Lovely breakfast. Facility is NOT handicap-accessible. It is within a two-minute walk of the Bergbahn to the castle and Bus 20 stop to/from the train station. American travelers be advised this is a fine place to stay if you are open to a comfortable, clean place to stay a night ot two.

Excellent location, friendly staff, and very good breakfast.

Right in the center of Old Town, Heidelberg. Within walking distance to the funicular to the castle. Night time the old town restaurants come alive. Architectural marvels everywhere in old town. Would definitely go back.

My partner stayed on the top floor and had a beautiful, romantic view of the mountain and rooftops. From check in to check out the hotel front desk hosts were helpful and hospitable, the location could not be beat as were right around the corner from the square. The nights were quiet, but mornings were noisy with the sound of barn swallows warbling :)-we found it to be a lovely way to wake up. The breakfast was substantial, well thought out, and tasty. We will definitely be back if we can!

the hotels good location compensates for the facilities and condition of the rooms. included breakfast and overall price performance is quite ok!

Staff and location great. The room it was old, not clean, not well conserve. Thanks to the location and the people that work there it was good.

On vacation and have stayed in 9 hotels throughout Europe. 6th floor up a tight spiral staircase. The place is old so of course no elevator . Crazy uneven floor with one bed that was way too low. Very nice helpful staff though and a good öbreakfast. Good location and historic so there’s bound to be glitches.

The accommodation is very old and there is no lift for those with limited mobility. On the other hand: personnel is very friendly, room is very clean, decent breakfast and the location is perfect.

We had an excellent stay! The accommodations were spacious and comfortable. The location was wonderful. We even caught a glimpse of Sweden’s Queen Sylvia from our room window!

No elevator makes it, needs a little effort to bring up the suitcases to the 4th floor :)

This is a "no--frills" but perfectly good hotel, situated very convenient for the Old Town and with a very good nearby bus service to/from the station.
It could on occasion be a bit noisy outside, but the double glazing was effective at keeping that to a subdued level. It's one problem is that for a a four-storey building it doesn't have a lift! But the very friendly and helpful staff were willing to help getting luggage up and down. There was plenty of choice with unlimited quantities for breakfast. We'd certainly stay again.

This hotel is perfectly located for the Christmas market. This town is fantastic. The staff was unbelievably nice and very helpful. A couple of notes - 1 there is no elevator so be prepared to climb the steps with your bags. 2 - parking is not onsite. 3 - it is not easy to find this hotel due to very narrow roads and pedestrians. HOWEVER, once you are settled this place is awesome!

We loved our stay at the Hotel am Rathaus. The hotel is located right in the old city center, in the perfect location to explore the beautiful town. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We arrived before check-in, and we were able to store our suitcase while we went exploring the city. Good German breakfast in the morning. I wish I could have stayed longer. Will return!

We fell in love with this place. The staff was so accommodating, friendly, joyful!
The location is perfect to access the castle, shops and restaurants. Highly recommend it! We arrived too early to check in. The staff let us leave our luggage with them behind the desk.

There is no air conditioning. On warm days you will here street noise until about midnight weekdays with the windows open. Perhaps later on weekends. The bathroom is cramped. The location is great.

We loved our stay here. We stayed on the top floor, so a bit of a climb with baggage but the view from the room looking over the river is worth it! Navigating to the hotel can be tricky, but once you figure it out its not a problem. The staff were kind and accommodating to our needs. Heidelberg has plenty for travelers to do. We had a great stay.

Good location, bit pricey and the 2 King beds were a King bed and broken pull-out sofa. Employees were super friendly and the location could not be better, although it did get noisy until late at night.

The hotel is not anything fancy but it has a fabulous location to explore Heidelberg. It is located right off of the platz. The furnishings could use an update but everything was clean. It was a bit of a squeeze for our family of four when it came to sleeping. However, the service was great. Breakfast was plentiful.
