Overall a fantastic holiday

The outlook was beautiful and the villa was lovely and spacious

Would have been good to us the bbq but insurance reasons wouldn’t allow? The bidets smelled really bad and we had to keep bleaching them. Need more pillows as the ones in the villa were too thin.

beautiful days and chilled nights in peace and quite

great outdoor space … the pool area is great for the family of all ages to relax and enjoy the sun !

if I had to find a fault it would be the need for more kitchen utensils and serving plates ect but we easily got by .

All in all great villa, would stay again!

Host was very welcoming and friendly, the villa was perfect for what we needed and looks way better than what the photos show. Every floor has its own bathroom and all guests have their own room not just a sofa bed in the living room. Bath towels and pool towels were supplied by the villa. The outdoor terrace is perfect for big groups to sit together in the evening or eat outside whilst still receiving some warmth from the sun. The gym has everything you could need for a workout and the location is 25min walk to the strip or a 5min drive which was perfect for cheap taxis.

Hot tub isn’t listed because it no longer works but is still visible in pictures. Take into consideration when booking. Only one parasol, I assume the others broke because bases were present. This made it difficult to get shade by the pool

A lovely family holiday in this spacious villa

The villa sits in a peaceful area but only a 6 euro Uber ride into Albufeira. The villa was very spacious and with the accommodation being on 3 floors, it was ideal for a family group of 11. The pool and the area around it was great with the bar and fridge an added bonus. Rene was happy to help with any queries.

There were not any parasols at the pool area apart from the table one, perhaps due to being damaged and not replaced. One of the bathrooms didn't smell great throughout the week therefore we had to keep the bedroom door closed. Having to give a 750 Euro cash deposit to the owner on arrival was a first for us which meant that I then had to pay a fee to transfer them back into pounds when back home. I understand this may be because the owner has had damage to the property before (wind damaged the one parasol whilst we were there and we paid to replace it) as he inspected the villa fully before we left.

Disappointing considering the cost. Well overpriced

Not much, wasn’t so much as a bottle of water on arrival Our flight was delayed and we arrived late in the evening, couldn’t make so much as a cup of tea No welcome pack, no leaflets about local attractions restaurants, or supermarkets, nothing.

The jacuzzi was a big selling point when booking, but it was not working, and the owner said he had no plans to get it repaired, and in-fact planned to remove it. All in all the villa facilities seemed a little tired, and in need of updating

A very special place to stay - ideal for larger families or groups!

We so enjoyed our stay at Cegonha Villa! The house is beautiful with large bedrooms and had everything we required for our holiday. It was also very clean on our arrival. It was so special to have use of a private pool, an outside bar and gym area. We loved to barbeque and eat on the veranda in the evenings and look out at the sunset. You feel as though you are in the countryside but it is very easy to get everywhere via Uber. Albufeira Old Town is very close via taxi as well as supermarkets and the closest beach Santa Eulalia. We are looking forward to returning and would highly recommend a stay here!

We enjoyed our holiday despite the issues. Loved having the pool to ourselves and our balcony

We had a huge apartment with amazing views across the countryside . We loved the outdoor balcony area. Our hosts were lovely and responded to our concerns. It was like having our own villa. We loved the pool area and the peace and quiet.

The location was further from shops/ restaurants etc than we had expected. The apartment was left dirty by the previous occupants, dirty cutlery , missing kitchen equipment etc. The bathroom was dirty and the shower blocked. This should have been checked and resolved before we checked in. We had to ask for kitchen equipment and light bulbs however our host responded quickly . The bedding and towels were old and worn and did not match. I would suggest the hosts invest in some white cotton sheets and towels . There were 100% polyester duvet covers which were horrible especially in a hot climate. The apartment would have benefit from having an information folder with a map and info about the nearest shops etc. Instead there was a rather unwelcoming information sheet telling you what you mustn’t do. There is no cleaning during your stay and you are expected to keep the apartment clean with no equipment except a filthy broom and dustpan full of holes.

Will be back next year!

Beautiful villa in a wonderful peaceful location. My partner and I stayed at here for 6 nights in September. We had a lovely time and will definitely recommend. Rene was good host and great conversation. Pros: NO stag or hen parties. No groups of lads/girls. This was one thing that worried me. Thank goodness Rene does not allow these. Peace and quiet, pretty much pool area to ourselves, sun beds. We met a lovely couple who showed us a gem of a local restaurant – about 10/15 minute walk away – which did incredible steaks. I highly recommend this place if you want to get away from town. To get to the town where restaurants, supermarket its, it takes about 25 minutes walk, but I actually enjoyed that first thing in the morning to get fresh rolls for breakfast. Plus, opportunity to walk off some of the beer I drank during the day! Uber is available and is slightly cheaper than UK. A ride into town was under 4 Euros, which is pretty good. Uber works out cheaper than local taxis.

Cons: Wi-Fi wasn’t great. I understand, that while away you don’t expect to be using the Wi-Fi, but I like laying in the sun or outside listening to a podcast or on YouTube – and I don’t have unlimited data, so that would be the only negative thing I could say. Despite this, we will be returning next year and this time will stay for 10 nights.
