About this house rental

The Anchor House is a brand new 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with a private fishing pier!!! Come stay at The Anchor House for fabulous fishing and incredible water views. This beautiful home is situated on 3 acres along Copano Bay just off FM 1781.

The Anchor House offers beautiful sunsets, great fishing, and peaceful surroundings. Catch redfish, trout, flounder, black drum, sheepshead, and blue crabs from the private, lighted 200 ft fishing pier. The private fishing pier has a 30 ft by 10 ft t-head and a 1000 watt above water green light perfect for fishing the night away. Old Captain Dave says a reef runs in front of the pier for fantastic fishing. You can also wade fish or kayak. There is also a fish cleaning stand with power and water for you to clean your stringer of fish.

Meander down the path to the bay and cool off under the 12 ft x 20 ft covered cabana at the entrance of the pier. There are even some cool looking chairs guests will enjoy taking pictures in! Anchor House is a new construction home built next to the Original Captain Dave's home!

This single-story home has a great deck with a 180-degree view of Copano Bay. Enjoy dipping in the small spa pool on the back deck, swinging in the hammock, or the satellite TVs inside when you are not fishing. Master Bedroom offers a comfy king size bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds and there is a sleeper sofa in the living room. This home will sleep up to 8 people. The fully equipped kitchen has all new appliances and everything you will need to make a fantastic dinner for all.

We enjoyed staying at property! The house was very clean, had plenty of towels, stocked kitchen, and nice decor. Enjoyed fishing on the peer and relaxing in the spa pool. The pool was smaller than expected, it was probably around 2ft deep. Overall the house was great!

This is our 3rd trip to Anchor House and is probably going to be our annual tradition. Brought the in-laws (who never travel) and they loved it and are ready for next year. The rental is nice because you have your own pier and space to park/layout/play lawn games/etc. The house is very well laid out so that you can be together most of the time but don’t wake others who want to nap/go to bed early. The team is great and always helpful no matter the request.

This was our third stay on a Miss Kitty's property. It was a really great place but we were extremely disappointed with the pool. When we made reservations the add showed a big in ground pool as part of the property. The pier and the pool were the reasons we choose the Anchor House. When we arrived a small deck with a cool water "hot tub" had been installed as our pool and on top of that it was not usable due to rust. We would not have reserved the Anchor House in the first place had the picture been correct. We should have been notified of the change and offered another rental. That said management did adjust our rates as compensation. Some times it was a little slow with call backs.

FYI - We were never able to locate the DVD remote, thus we were unable to enjoy DVD's we had brought with us. According to my guests something is going on with the freezer or ice mechanism on the refrigerator. They said it is leaking but I am not sure about that, maybe something to do with the ice compartment. We didn't realize the wifi was working but were happy to see it was. Miss Kitty's has always been friendly and accommodating. We have multiple members of our group who have stayed in properties with Miss Kitty's for years.

Car wheel got stuck at drive entry in a concrete abutment. It was narrow and grass was high with trash cans at entrance. In process of trying to turn around did not see the depth of the ditch, got stuck and had to be pulled out. It needs markers. Damaged underside of my new vehicle. Team member I spoke with was very kind and helpful.

Simply wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable. We are already looking forward to planning next years trip. So if you cld send info on bay houses with a fishing pier, one with maybe a boat slip with a pool to accommodate the kids that is pet friendly for our little fur babies that would be wonderful. Thank you for your hospitality. Team members were amazing. They handled a maintenance issue in less than 30 minutes. Informed us when someone was coming out to the property to handle a cleaning issue. After hours member was so friendly and nice even if all I did was report an issue. Team members were very accommodating and should be praised for the customer service they provided.

Definitely could become an annual trip. Family loved it! Anchor House was a perfect getaway for our family. We had a wonderful stay. Captain Dave’s anchor house is our favorite property we have stayed at over the years vacationing to Rockport. The house is beautiful and very clean. We had a lot of fun fishing during our 4 night stay. We might have to come back again!

We like Rockport and these are the properties that we always stay at, once a year for our fishing vacation, we enjoy going fishing! Liked that it had some yard for my special need son to walk around. It exceeded My expectations love the TV ROKU in the master bedroom it was great for my special needs son he was able to watch cartoons and I didn’t have to put on the DVD I took with me that was the best thing! Always very nice & ready to assist you with anything and very knowledgeable

The property was very beautiful but WARNING! The house does not cool down lower than 79 degrees. All day the house would stay at 83 degrees even if the AC was running all day. Would not recommend if you care about sleep in a comfortable environment.
