Cheap and cheerful, you get what you pay for. The hot and cold taps on the shower were swapped around. The mattress and pillows were too hard for my liking.
1.0 / 10.0
Tiny room, only a couple of inches longer than my arm reach. Barely any room to move.
No desk or table to work on.
Hair & dirt in the shower basin.
Hair & some marks in the bed.
Bedding clearly not fresh - smelled and felt like it had been slept in several times.
Noisy throughout the night - very thin walls.

Our room for 3 adults was tiny and most of the furnishings were old and tatty, the headboard was completely ripped, 3 tea bags, 3 milk pods and no cups. Air con was £5 if you wanted it, night receptionist gave it us for free which was appreciated. The room served its purpose as we were literally only sleeping in it but I wouldn’t return

Budget hotel, but was clean. Mattress uncomfortable though and no hot water, when reported to the staff no offer of a shower elsewhere, or partial refund, just told they’d investigate later. I think they probably knew but didn’t care.

Room was small and overpriced. Window had no curtain. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable. Sink didn't drain. Not the large deluxe room advertised.

Worse hotel experience in my life, regardless of my status of a Hotels.com GOLD MEMBER. My family of five was accommodated in a so-called "ground level" room (never disclosed in my hotels.com reservation). It was a BASEMENT, with tiny stairs access (see the pictures) with no ventilation, no window and mold smell presence that my asthmatic son started coughing immediately. The bathroom was outside the room, next to the stairs. The front desk could not change us to a livable room, that didn't represent a health risk issue, so we decided to leave and look for another hotel. After asking for a full refund to Adam, the manager, the response was that it was "disclosed" that our room was "ground level" and it was our option to leave (?!) offering me a 50% reimbursement (?!). The health risk in this place due to mold presence should be reviewed by the London Health Department, to which I will place a complaint. To date, I have not received my refund. Very frustrated to arrive to this hostel-like place and had to spend extra money to find another place to stay in the middle of our first time experience in London. Hotels.com never reached out to me either, regardless my multiple attempts to get help.

Great Hotel I will return

Comfortable and clean for an overnight stay. Although a kettle in room, no cup tea coffee or milk was the only negative.

Very small room, obviously converted store cupboard , no window, no room for one let one alone 2 people to get changed, had to climb on the bed to hang clothes up..Very claustrophobic, stuffy and hot, humming, vibrating noise throughout the night that sounded like an industrial fridge going off, receptionist on the front was very nice and apologetic but i am afraid there is very little to recommend this hotel

I found this hotel very clean with friendly staff. It seems as though the rooms have been recently renovated.

My stay was great. I stayed in the hotel for 5days. The receptionists were all very friendly and showed good interpersonal skills. One of the female receptionist especially always had a genuine smile on her face when talking to me which was heartwarming. On the day of my check out, this same female receptionists was very kind and helpful in helping me move my luggage and suggesting the best way to get to my taxi.
As someone whose family has once owned a hotel, based on the qualities of the receptionists, I believe this hotel is a great place to stay especially for those who are new to London as customer care often determines whether a guest will enjoy their stay in a hotel or not.
Cleanliness of the room was pleasing.
I will definitely book again with this hotel if need be!

Nice basic comfortable accommodation with an interesting bathroom.. bathroom was odd in taht the tap could blast out and soak the toilet roll :) but other than that all good. Shower didn't work mid morning but was allowed extra time to check out because of this.

Cheap and cheerful. Good access to tube and bars and restaurants. Room small, hot and a bit shabby but for the price and location can't complain. Clean enough

The Plaza was OK as cheap places to go. The bathroom was good and the bed comfortable. The road noise was bearable. It is walk-able from Bethnal Green tube station

this is the worse place I have ever stayed !
I wander in what ground they got those three stars.
This place doesn't worth even a half star.
I would arrange a good auditing for that place and check the legitimacy of those stars?!

The whole place smelled stuffy and moldy. The curtains were ripped at the edges and full of stains. Everything was being held together by nails and shaking. The headboard and the panels next to the bed were covered in sweat stains. The pillows were hard as rock and way too thick to be able to sleep on them without the neck folding at an 80 degree angle. I chose to sleep without pillows on the second night to avoid any more discomfort. The walls had dirty prints and makeup stains on them. The bathroom was modern, though there was some hair from the previous resident. Would not recommend.

everything was disastrous. extremely small room, extremely small bathroom. everything looks like a building made by homeless people.

I personally think this is nice accommodation in terms of value for money. Quite centrally located so well connected with the London metro.
Staffs are friendly and welcoming. Again, this is not the best of the hotels but value for money.

Didn't like the Hotel at all. The staircase is very narrow and stiff. The room condition is also not good. The carpets are torn off and you can see the broken tiles. The AC was not working. The room has a phone but the line was disconnected so basically for any request you need to walk down to the lobby and ask. So as per the price, I have paid is totally unworthy to stay in this hotel.

there was a great lady who is the only polite staff in that hotel, she is call Maritina. Best staff ever

No lift to upper floors. No shaver socket in bathroom. Room quite small.

Workers need to be more helpful. More customer care needed. Cost is higher but room space and services not value for money.
3.0 / 10.0
There was mold on the upper corner of the room, the hotel seemed a bit dirty and they gave us a dirty towel (which looked like there were blood stains on it- we honestly don’t want to know what it was)
But the people at the reception have been very nice and helpful, also the bathroom and shower were clean. We would still recommend this hotel for a 3 day stay in London, since you won’t stay at the hotel all day long, because you’re honestly going to be busy traveling
2.0 / 10.0
There was no lift, very steep stairs and we were on the third floor. Room was small with little wardrobe space and no tea or coffee making facilities.
3.0 / 10.0
Very nice staff but the hotel might need some renovations.
- bed covers/blankets were tattered
- bed was shaking
- hallway very tight/small
- quite loud on the out- and inside of the hotel
+ nice bathroom
- but very small
- bathroom door couldnt be closed properly
I'd recommend it if you're mostly spending your time in London and only for sleep-over.

The front of the hotel was not very encouraging 2* but the staff and the room were a pleasant suprise 4*.
The room was very compact but included a recently refurbished ensuite bathroom. The staff were really warm and friendly. They were 5*
The hotel is close to the city but a little pricey so all told it averages out at a 3*
4.0 / 10.0
The hotel staff were friendly. The hotel was close to bike station, I used it to cycle to Central London in 25 minutes. The rooms were very small, so if spacious hotel rooms are something you look for, this is not the right place for you.
