About this house rental
Stay at my traditional row house that was built in 1910. My house has been renovated and personalized with unique modern and historic finishes. My house is over 1800 sq ft of space with 3 nicely sized bedrooms all with queen beds and 2.5 bathrooms. The primary bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a spacious shower and a balcony to enjoy your mornings or afternoons. The other two bedrooms share a hall bathroom. Both upstairs bathrooms have heated floors!
The other great thing about my house is that it has a loft feel with 9+ foot high ceilings and beautiful exposed brick throughout.
My house is located 2 blocks from H Street NE, a vibrant area with plenty of restaurants, bars, and the free streetcar line to Union Station. Popular Union Market and La Cosecha are a short walk away and have great outdoor spaces with additional restaurants, bars, and shops in the area. There are also 7! grocery stores with 1 mile of my house if you decide to stay in and cook or just need to grab a few items. Note: my house is in virbrant DC. You will see people from all walks of life, all nationalities, all ethnicities. I have lived in my neighborhood for over 10 years and I love the diversity. If diversity scares or bothers you in any way, then my house is not the place for your stay.
I have no-contact keyless entry and this also allows you to not have to worry about losing any keys during your stay. My house is equipped with standard kitchen and bathroom amenities and linens (towels, wash clothes, sheets, blankets, etc.) but if you need anything else I’ll do my best to get it for your stay.
Getting around DC is also really easy from my house with many forms of transportation available close by. Walking to the Capitol building is about 1 mile if you’re up for a nice stroll down Maryland Ave. There is a free streetcar on H St that will take you to the backside of Union Station. There is a city bus stop on the corner of my street. You could also venture around town on electric scooters or electric or manual pedal bikes that you can get in the neighborhood or rent from Capital bike-share 1 block away. Lyft, Uber, or taxi is also easily available via downloaded apps. My apartment is located within an easy 10-12 minute walk to the red line NoMa metro station. Finally, if you will have a car, there is free, easy to come by street parking right out front.
PLEASE NOTE: my house is NOT available for parties or events, and there is NO SMOKING of any kind inside.
Finally, only the individuals indicated on the reservation are allowed on the premises unless discussed with me prior to you booking. If you know people in the area that will be visiting during your stay, please let me know ahead of time. Only guests included in the number on the listing are welcomed on the property unless approved prior to your trip. Thank you in advance for respecting this and my home.

The rental was not as I perceived from the VRBO listing. The front steps need some repair, a few repairs/updates on the interior and the listing wasn’t as grand as pictured.

This house was beautifully restored, and very comfortable. I love how they kept the antique look with all the modern conveniences. It is close to everything we wanted to see in DC. The neighborhood was great, it felt like home. My family and I would stay here again for sure!

Beautiful home with an excellent combining of the authenticity of the architecture and modernization. Lovely plants, well appointed and gourmet quality kitchenware. the bookcase room was an example of how original and efficient the use of space appeared. Would DEFINITELY stay here again!! Please add TVs in the bedrooms. Two of the pocket doors "float" and have to use door stoppers to keep opened or closed.

Nice place. Checkin in process. Cool set up! Nice secret room. Modern and historic at the same time.

We loved the property, the neighborhood, the entire trip! The property is well appointed, convenient to multiple types of public transportation, situated in a beautiful neighborhood full of lovely people, diverse food choices, etc. I felt safe the whole time and had a great place to crash after long days of sight seeing. We will definitely look this place up the next time we’re in DC.

The VRBO description from the person whom I assume owns this house said the neighborhood was eclectic, not true is is downright scary.most nights from our bedroom we heard men yelling the F word and arguing. The neighborhood was not a safe one to walk in even in daylight . The house has a nice master bath and shower but the glass like lovely floors are dangerous for most anyone. I did ask for a slip proof bath mat for the shower and the bathroom which was quickly provided. We were not happy to learn the reason the house was hot was because the air was not turned on. Someone remotely turned it on for us. The next day we left it at 70 but when we returned it was again 80 degrees. Most of the pans in the kitchen should be thrown away. I would not cook in them even for my doggie. The sofa only really seats 3 people as the rounded area is so slippery you can’t stay on the couch. The front metal steps are really dangerous, looks and feels like they could collapse any minute. All in all, we would not stay there again. I guess we did not know the owners definition of Eclectic!!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The unit is comfortable, clean, and beautifully restored in a neighborhood that is being rejuvenated. You will need a car or plan to use Uber for getting around. I’m sure there is a Metro stop somewhere but probably not a good idea to venture out at night.
Communication with the owner was great.

The property was perfect. The pictures don’t do it justice. Everything we needed - well stocked kitchen, bedding and linens. We had 6 - my husband and I, 3 grown daughters and son in law. Plenty of room for eating and visiting and sleeping. The property owner was super responsive and above and beyond helpful. Location was great. 25 minute easy walk to the capitol, and bus stop right out front of the property.

The property was charming and clean. My family felt very comfortable staying in the home. The location was great...we were just minutes away from everything. We will stay here again when visiting the DMV area.

Great location in DC to all activities. Interesting gentrified neighborhood. Beautiful and comfortable home. Manager was responsive to minor problem there was with hot water in showers.

The house was the perfect home base location for seeing all the DC sites. Inside was filled with live plants and fun and eclectic decor. Urban location with easy walk to restaurants. Owner was very helpful and got us a street parking pass quickly. Beds were very comfortable. My son loved the hidden bedroom behind the bookcase!

Great house, cozy and comfortable. Easy parking and short distance to monuments and the Mall. The owner is super responsive and provides everything needed!

Nicely remodeled house in a neighborhood that is undergoing amazing transformation. Most historic row houses are either renovated or being renovated. H street is also fun with lots of activity post pandemic. A little far to walk to the sites and museums but an easy Uber ride. Whole Foods is only a ten minute walk.

The house was in great condition and well maintained. And the owner was very responsive throughout the process. It is a great location for touring DC - parking right outside the house and a short drive to the Mall, museums, etc. There is a public transportation option, but we did not us that - driving seemed easier.

We stayed at this lovely location for the week of Thanksgiving and absolutely loved everything about the property. Convenient location and beautiful home are 2 of the many great things about the property. Not to mention the added bonus of a secret room with a secret door~ quite the hit with all of us! Megan was super responsive and always helpful! Couldn’t have asked for more !
