About this house rental
Come enjoy a getaway at the Pine Tree Perch overlooking Rangeley Lake. Our recently renovated home has panoramic lake views and all of the amenities you need for the perfect Rangeley getaway. We face west which means stunning sunsets! Ideal for couples, families, and anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Maine mountains, with lake views too! We are also dog-friendly! Our home is right off Route 4 down a short gravel private road. We are just 5 minutes (2 miles) from Downtown Rangeley, 15 minutes from Saddleback Mountain, and 40 minutes to Sugarloaf Mountain.
In the summer, our home is a great location to soak in all that the Rangeley Lakes Region has to offer. Hiking, mountain biking, boating, and more! Please note that while we have beautiful lake views, we do not have direct lake access. A Rangeley Lake State Park pass is included with your stay to enjoy the nearby State Park for swimming and boating. We also recommend the public beach in town. The State Park Pass is included when Rangeley State Park is open for the season, May 1st - October 1st.
In the fall, the Rangeley Lakes Region is known for having some of the most beautiful foliage in New England and a scenic byway for driving to some truly gorgeous overlooks where you can experience foliage like you never have before. Quill Hill, Height of Land, and even the front deck are a few of the best places around to experience fall in Maine.
In the winter, our home is perfect for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter activities. Please note we do not allow snowmobiling at the property. After a chilly day outside, warm up by our gas fireplace while soaking in the sunset over Rangeley Lake. Our road and driveway are privately plowed, but to avoid any potential issues we do recommend all-wheel drive vehicles in the winter. Please note that all patio furniture, fire pit & the grill are stored away for the winter months (November-Mid May).
Pulling into the driveway, you will be welcomed with gorgeous views of Rangeley Lake amongst the beautiful pine trees. Enjoy lake views from our living room, master bedroom, and even the kitchen. The home has two decks, one accessible from the living room and main entrance and a private deck off the master bedroom, allowing for water views the minute you wake up in the morning. Perfect for sipping a cup of coffee and enjoying the lake views. In the evenings, enjoy stargazing from either deck. Pair with a glass of wine for the best stargazing experience. We also have a solo stove fire pit so you can enjoy a drink by the fire to end your days in Rangeley. For your safety, we also have an outdoor camera for the driveway and a ring doorbell should you have any issues/questions during your stay.
We provide all necessities including bedding, towels, and linens, and have a dryer available. We encourage our guests to disconnect and enjoy the natural beauty and endless activities that Rangeley has to offer, but we understand the need to stay connected and work from The Perch. We have Starlink WiFi and a small smart TV with access to Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, and more.
We provide pots, pans, and kitchenware for cooking and dining. If you prefer to dine out, we are close to a number of great restaurants in Rangeley including The Loon Lodge, Furbish Brew House, The Rangeley Inn Tavern, Sarges, and Portage Tap House. Pop into the Corner Bar for some of the best cocktails in Rangeley. We also suggest Classic Provisions for morning coffee and amazing pastries!
Please note. While it has been recently renovated, our home is still a Maine camp in the woods! A stray bug may join you inside, especially in the summer months. We use our home for getaways often too and hope you will love it as much as we do.
If you have any questions or are interested in learning more about if our home is the right fit for you and your upcoming getaway, do not hesitate to inquire and reach out. We would love to chat with you! We look forward to hosting you at the Pine Tree Perch!

We had a wonderful time. The camp is close to town and saddleback, it was very cozy with a convenient gas stove for ambiance. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay

This was such a cute cabin with all the nice touches of cozy cabin decor. Very clean, had everything we needed and more! The host really thought of everything right down to the doggy bowls and extra chargers. Super close to Saddleback made our ski days easy. Absolutely LOVED our stay. Thank you Pine Tree Perch!

The Pine Tree Perch was perfect for our ski getaway! The cottage is beautifully renovated, immaculately cared for with decor that adds to the Mane cottage experience in every room. The view over the snow covered lake at sunset was spectacular. Just minutes from the ski mountain, shops and restaurants. We loved our stay!

We had a picture perfect stay at the Pine Tree Perch for a fall wedding in Rangeley. It was a beautiful place to gather with friends, the views of the lake were stunning. Their place was very well appointed and everything we needed to feel right at home. Location can’t be beat- less than 5 minutes from downtown rangeley, less than 20 minutes from saddleback. Host was very welcoming and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

We had the most relaxing stay. Devon went above and beyond to accommodate our family. The house is very clean with a fabulous view of the lake. The kitchen was well stocked and the location was perfect for hiking and exploring the Rangeley area. Devon was very responsive with communication. Our family will def stay here again when we are in the area.

We had an amazing stay at this cute little home up in Rangeley! The location was perfect, perched on the slope overlooking the lake, and made for some beautiful sunset viewing from the elevated porch. While the weather wasn't the best during our stay the town and surrounding area had so many activities to offer that we could always find something to do regardless of the elements. The house itself was delightfully cute, extremely clean, and well furnished. We could really tell the owners put a lot of care into this property. We will definitely be recommending this home to our friends and family and hope to be back soon!

Pine Tree Perch offered the PERFECT Maine getaway! The thoughtful and organic design inside made for a cozy and serene atmosphere. All amenities were easy to find and the house was extremely clean! We loved sitting on the comfortable furniture, enjoying the books about Rangeley and Maine the host provided. The large glass doors and deck offered incredible views of the lake that encouraged us to unplug and enjoy the simple beauty Maine had to offer, from listening to the loons, sunsets over the water and a fire with some wine to wrap up the night.
Downtown Rangeley was so close, providing the cute quaint vibe we love. Devon, the host had some amazing recommendations which were perfect!
We absolutely cannot wait to come back and stay here in the winter to ski!

We traveled with our 14 and 9 year old children & a 3 year old dog. The home owner Devon is very helpful & responsive.
The house is beautiful & has everything you may need. The beds & linen were super soft and comfortable. The views of the lake from the livings room & master bedroom were breathtaking. The kitchen & bathrooms were fully equipped. The decor of the house is simple, elegant & tastefully done. We enjoyed dining out at Loon Lodge, eating ice-cream at Pine Tree Frosty & loved Blueberry coffee cakes at Classic Provisions.
Overall we had a wonderful vacation. Below are some of the things we wanted to share with future renters, hoping to help them make a more informed decision about their stay.
*as mentioned in the listing the house is right off the main road but we didn't realize how close it really was. The sound of vehicles driving by can get very loud if you are sitting outside on the deck.
*You are not permitted to walk around the neighborhood towards the lake & can only stay within the perimeters of the property, not ideal for people travelling with pets who need regular longer walks throughout the day which was the case with our dog and families with younger kids. Driving every time to walk the dog was very inconvenient.
*it is a bit of a drive to the state park to swim in the lake. Fyi, dogs are not allowed there.
*there is no washer in the house, you have to drive to laundromats in the area.
*the only TV in the house is way too small.

My friend and I work too hard, and we needed a great week away. Pine Tree Perch provided the perfect place to get away and more! Devon has created a comfy hideaway with all the amenities you need! Every morning we had our coffee while enjoying the lake view. We grilled fabulous dinners despite a few rainy days. We are rejuvenated! We only wish we could stay longer. We will definitely book again!

Everything was great for our stay, although it would have been nice for the snowy and icy driveway to have been plowed the morning of our departure.

Great location for a ski vacation. A beautiful spot to rest & relax after a day at the slopes! Accommodations exceeded our expectations with a cozy fire, comfy beds, and great views. Thanks Devon for sharing your space!

Delightful stay at the Pine Tree Perch. Lights lining the driveway made it inviting as we arrived at night. The warm and cozy living room was our favorite with lots of great features. Enjoyed drinking tea while sitting by the fire and taking in the wide unobstructed views of the lake (especially at sunset). There was also a nice selection of games, though we didn’t get a chance to play. Loved the details such as the convenient hooks by the fireplace and in the bedroom.
The cabin is conveniently located close to town and the mountain, making it a short and easy drive for restaurants and a day on the slopes or in the woods.
Can’t wait to come back for another season!

Wow! This cabin on the lake is beautiful. It was the perfect place to stay with easy access to Saddleback even in the middle of the biggest snow storm of the season! The owners are great and had the plow clear the drive way while we were out so we wouldn't get snowed in.
Super clean, nice and cozy, and had everything we needed. I plan on coming back in the summer to enjoy the lake!

Pinetree Perch was the perfect place to get away for a family ski trip. It is in a beautiful location, right on Rangeley lake where we could watch the sunset over the lake while we sat be the fire and it’s only 15 min from Saddleback Ski resort. This would be a perfect spot to come enjoy the summer too. The house was super clean with all the luxuries of home. Devon was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We can’t wait to come back next winter!

Devon was a great host! She was very pleasant and a great communicator during our trip. The house was so cute and cozy especially after a long day at the mountain. Everything was organized and instructions were in a nice little pamphlet including great recommendations of where to eat. We were able to bring our well behaved golden retriever which was an added bonus! Already missing the views of the sunrises and sunsets on the lake! Thank you for a great stay!

Property is in a great location (Rangeley, ME... could there be a bad location?)! We've stayed at a few places around Rangeley, and this is one of our favorites. Recently renovated, the new style is very welcoming. Feels like a modern camp. The views from the porch have to be seen in person to appreciate. The photos can't do it justice.
Devon was amazing to work with. Very prompt and accommodating to our questions. Hope to be back again sometime!

Had an amazing time skiing opening weekend at Saddleback! It was super close to the mountain and even closer to town. Super convenient for going out to eat after skiing or for lunch. The whole house is very clean and looks like it was recently remodeled! Overall an amazing stay and I can’t wait to stay here again when I go to Saddleback!!

We loved our stay here! This was our fourth visit to Rangeley and we found a true gem. It was after sunset when we checked in and we were awoken by a beautiful view of the lake. Not only was the sunrise gorgeous, but the sunset too. The kitchen is adorable and had everything we needed. We also really enjoyed sitting by the fireplace, watching the snow fall, and watching Christmas movies! We can't wait to come back.
