We had a little treehouse right by the beach and it was the most beautiful stay ever. The scenery and the place was so beautiful, with amazing sunsets and lush jungle backdrop, so remote and peaceful it took our breath. The accomodation was a bit expensive and very basic, but everything on the island is, and we were perfectly happy with that. A great get-away from the hustle buslte of most places in Thailand, they say Koh Phayam is Thailand 20 years ago, without the tourists, and there werent many around so it felt like we were almost alone. If you are looking for the perfect island get away with only focus on quiet and nature (there is the ocean right in front of your window, monkeys in the forest, friendly dogs around and sounds of the jungle), then this is the place for you. Our host Juppi was the best ever, he picked us up from the ferry without us asking for it and did everything he could to please us. He cooks the best food, and if we asked for something special (like a fish or mango sticky rice), he would go out and buy it and make it for you the next day. We had the best food on the island there. Very kind people, beautiful hippie place, a bit hard to reach but you will get a scooter (the host organised one for us immediately) and then nothing is a problem. Bring good mosquito spray as they will eat you alive otherwise. Wifi is spotty in the bungalows, its alright by the common areas. Not recommended for remote workers.
It was awesome - except the mosquitos

I loved my stay in the little studio with a lot of windows. It's like an eco bungalow all woody and nicely designed. Nothing fancy but just very enjoyable.
The owner is multilingual and very friendly. There's place to lay down outside out Thai cushions, there places to sit crossed legs which i enjoy.
No generator sound but the sea on the rocks.
Outside it's a bit of a mess but that's ok.
