Ritz Carlton Melbourne Hotel needs to pull up their socks and stop pulling the wool over the heads of potential guests…
Great fit out design polished features outstanding views. Pool was an area of tranquility during none weekend period. Well equips gymnasium and wellness area plus spa facilities. Atria Dining outstanding food including a delicious breakfast. Afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge an extremely delicious highlight with their elevated Festive Season offerings.
Poor communications when requests are made verbally or via electronic means. Poor follow up on request that seldom is for filled after a reminder is made. Cleanliness of male public restrooms atrocious and wasn’t cleaned for the entire weekend during my visit with urine streak line stain remaining on toilet seat cover and toilet seat rim. Set in urine stain walls surrounding each cubicle. I just wonder if the female restrooms were in the same condition. The availability of hand wash lotion was available one day and not another. Turndown service by housekeeping each evening was erratic and not uniform and having to make requests to replace or remove soiled towels or bathroom amenities had to be made daily. This my fourth visit to the hotel in as many months. Each visit there has been issues where I have provided constructive feedback to enhance a guests experience. There appears to be a complacency amongst the hotel management to take my comments seriously thus resulting in an ongoing repetition of on going issues. Mobile signal connectivity with Optus Network is poor if not non existent at the height where the hotel room commences and at the top floor of L80 where it is a main public area there is usually drop out or no signal at all.

Incredible hotel and views, brilliant staff, amazing pool and terrible spa.
This is one of the most spectacular hotels I've stayed in for its views. The reception is on the 80th floor! And the views from our 66th floor room were wonderful. The staff were among the best I've had the pleasure to meet and of course being the Ritz Carlton, the style and comfort and class of the place made you feel very special. The bar food was excellent and the infinity pool a joy! The location is also incredible, being right in the heart of town.
The spa! Firstly, it is segregated by gender into a male spa and a female spa! So my girlfriend and I could not enjoy the spa together. I have never seen this anywhere in the world and it ruined our experience of the spa. At least the pool was not segregated. Secondly, the steam room has to be manually switched on by the guest for it to heat up - this takes 10 to 15 minutes! So if you only want to use the steam room or use it first, be prepared to wait... oh and it never fully heats up as there is a gap in the door leaving out heat constantly. You are not saving energy / the environment, you are spoiling your guest experience. Thirdly, it is impossible to use the hot tub/jacuzzi unless you are very mobile. The steps into it are actually very small indents in the bricks of the hot tub wall which are not big enough for even my size 7 UK feet to use comfortably, and which you actually cannot even see when standing over the tub wondering how on earth to get in (only when I was in the tub could I see the small indents in the wall). I ended up half-jumping in, which is quite dangerous as it's a deep tub, and if you are an someone who is not fit/mobile, pulling yourself out of the tub is a real challenge - that's unacceptable. To top it off, my favourite part of any spa (the sauna) in the male spa was broken the 3 days we stayed. When I asked, the staff had no idea when it would be fixed as they had to "send for a part". This is the Ritz Carlton - go get the part. And also get the part for the broken control in one of the showers... and install a machine to dry swimming clothes - people need to pack their swimming gear when checking out and need it dried. Overall: segregated, out of order, broken, unheated, ill equipped and with health & safety risks.

Nice rooms, maybe train up the younger staff
Nice rooms.
Service was a bit off. The younger staff seemed to have no idea what they were doing and had to call a manager to get anything done like, finding our booking or grabbing our car which are all basic parts of staying at a hotel.

We had a great stay during our wedding weekend. Thank you
Beautiful amenities. Restaurant was great, staff in the restaurant were exceptional.
Charging a delivery fee for room service is ridiculous.
