I got woken up early by I think pipes making a noise. But apart from that all okay

location
room was cramped, on suite bath had crack in it , shower didn’t work very well, rusty radiators, peeling paint, one bedside light, bed was two mattresses on top of each, broken window in fire door outside the room, chairs stacked outside room door , no plug for bath , no toiletries
3.5
Location
First room I was given the curtains were hanging off the rails and No TVSC remote. The second room was freezing and had no toilet paper at all!
3.5

plumbing left a lot to be desired!! no hot water, broken light fittings, shower heads, not good at all

Room was lovely and warm.
Breakfast sausages were fried very dry and over cooked
3.5
the property is a really good place but the bedrooms were very cold this time I know it can’t be cheap to run these hotels but the people who are there need to be warm
it wasn’t about the hotel but the pavements and roads around the hotel where really bad with snow and ice and bad ice

Loved the view and barman on the 24hr bar. Great that the heating was on aswell.
Room a little bit old

The staff were fantastic from start to finish. Helped with an issue in my room really promptly and were friendly

Lovely hotel. Stayed here before and had to go back. Its in a gorgeous location of Scarborough and the rooms are lovely. They even had entertainment on whennwe went which was on pretty much most of the night
The lift seemed to not work almost everytime we tried it and the walls were a little thin but doesn't help when guests decide to have a full blown conversation outside your room door at 6.30am! And luckily the people In the next room had an earlyish night and didn't keep talking after about 11pm so I could get to sleep but I just struggle to sleep with most small noises so probably wouldn't bother most people and I will remember my ear plugs next time

Perfect place and very peaceful
Didn't have a disabled ramp outside

The room had a good view over the bay
The room was very cramped with no wardrobe or table. I appreciate that it was the school holidays and we booked late exchanging a former booking because my husband had had a fall and needed a hotel with a lift .Only had breakfast the first morning. Was surprised to see no cereals only a menu for cooked breakfast, small or large, or rolls. Had the small breakfast but it was poor. Had hoped to have dinner in the hotels some evenings. The menu outside was the same for every day with a very poor choice. Might stay at the hotel again if we could get a decent sized room and would make our own arrangements for food as the situation of it is good.

The staff was amazing went above and beyond specially the French man couldn't remember his name... the location was fine aswell not far away from where we was going
The room absolutely disappointed felt like I was in a hostel rather then hotel.. so unclean and out dated the bathroom was a disgrace didn't dare get a shower through all the mould
3.5
The place was dated but clean. Excellent staff and good quality breakfast
The rooms could do with a refurb. Very 70s
3.5
was lovely and clean
unfortunately we were in the attic and we’d of preferred to be more central but was close to the theatre which we needed
3.5
the location
the bed and tap was broken and bin was not emptied (old fruit inside from previous person which stayed)
3.5
Very friendly staff and great room
3.5
Location at short notice, the offer of additional 2 hour free parking with a permit and the staff were very friendly.
Our room could do with updating as it looked tired and the decor was in need of a makeover.
3.5
The friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the beds
a little bit dated decor but not off putting
3.5
Hotel very outdated.
View was good, location was good but the streets difficult to negotiate.
3.5
the view from outside the main entrance
booked a room around 2100 for that evening, room with a view, unfortunately the view was of other buildings and a courtyard and not the advertised view of town, quite dated hotel and nothing like the images on booking.com
needs to update with times and provide shower/shampoo/conditioner etc, maybe a fan during the summer time as it was warm albeit we’re in a heatwave, window didn’t open much so no breeze but continuous seagulls sqwark throughout the night which is beyond the hotels control and we are at the seaside.. so not entirely there fault, bit random knock on the door at 0930, house keeping asking if we required anything even though we were about to check out. a little pricey for what we got but then again a guess when you book so last minute during peek times, beggars can’t be choosers
3.5
It’s location for the beach and outdoor theatre. The room was lovely and very comfortable. The staff are great especially Paul on reception who made us laugh so much and we felt very welcome by everyone.
Its a shame there’s no carpark as sometimes it’s difficult to get a space nearby but we will still come back there.
3.5
Staff were exceptionally polite and friendly.
Stains near the tea making area, nothing cloth could fix.
