Everything was well looked after. The place was super clean, the staff super welcoming and attentive. Every night great entertainment and great drinks. Food was very good too. A great thank you to Borjas, Myriam, Isabel and Maria at the reception. And the 2 Angie at the lounge bar and Sport bar.
Sometimes queues to get into the restaurant for dinner or for drinks. Not enough staff at the F&B outlets.

Royal level infinity pool is lovely. Spa and gym are very nice. I had a great exfoliation and hot stone massage. Dinner and breakfast at the royal level restaurant was very good.
Considering this is a brand new hotel the finish is very poor. Walking around the property there are panels of wood that have warped and are half hanging off, hopefully they will address this soon as it’s already looking shabby.

Loved the luxurious feel, the beds were so comfortable, staff were very accommodating and friendly
Breakfast buffet: coffee machines were shut down at 10.10 apart from 1 machine which then had a 10 person queue for the 20 minute remaining time in the restaurant.

Absolutely everything! The whole concept of the hotel is incredible. The rooms are fab, and it is a modern hotel so expect your room layout to be like this. It’s a modern well thought out, incredible hotel and the architecture is jaw dropping. I’ve stayed at Barceló hotels before and they never disappoint. This one topped it as the best hotel I’ve stayed in, ever! You have to be sure that this is what you’re looking for in terms of aesthetics etc. The gym is spectacular (not small at all!) it is top grade equipment. I didn’t get time to use the spa and other facilities, however I will be coming back. The staff are attentive and especially the manger in the breakfast/dinner hall. Other staff not so much. Yeray from Champs bar is excellent at his job and is the best cocktail maker. The Theatre hall is sensational and they had an opera evening - the singers made you feel welcome and wow what a show. I like the fact that you have two different types of pools, yes you have seagulls but they soon disappear when you swim in this pool. The reception team are ‘THE’ loveliest I have come across in many years. They had my room ready early, the lady offered and explained an upgrade price which is great because I don’t think I would have done this if she didn’t say. They can’t help you enough. So thank you so much. :) I was also a solo traveler and they made me feel so welcome. I have also never written a review this long! Entertainment team also so fab and welcoming. All the staff are honestly great and happy to be there.
The music is a little loud around the fresh water pool to warn off the seagulls. It would be nice to sit at the pool bar and order some food, not just a buffet option. However I guess this is just a personal preference. Maybe need more trees around the pool or that area as the design of the complex is kind of like a wind trap and you do get big gusts of wind. I think for the Champs bar you do need more lively music as it would be nice to go there after dinner with a little more atmosphere and maybe in the day too. That was a little disappointing. The ‘mini disco’ is in the theatre area and only is for like 30 mins. Maybe it should be elsewhere. It would be nice to have a discount voucher for the spa to encourage guests to use. Other guest got a voucher to use in the marina for shopping. I did not get this. A discount at the local restaurants would also be good to help local businesses, as you have already paid so this would just boost business for both parties. The head housekeeper was super friendly, however her staff were the opposite and did not smile and was not eager to help me. They did not say hello, it left me a bit confused because everyone else was very polite. This hotel has a lot of great potential.

The hotel is beautiful, plenty of space, lots of facilities and different areas to sit and relax. Huge bedroom, comfy beds and soft towels, great gym faciltiies.
It's not very sheltered from the constant wind, the air con in the room didn't work, the receptionists weren't very happy for helpful, nobody really explained how the all inclusive worked, we asked if there was any chance of a free upgrade and we got laughed at. The sports bar has zero atmosphere - no music, bright lights. The pool isn't heated.

Amazing place always something to do & facilitates are brilliant really enjoyed it
room doors need a stronger hinge to ease them closing as they slam & wake you up in the morning

Value for money on the all inclusive offer was excellent. The hotel was smart, clean and very modern. Plenty of facilities and in a great location.
I absolutely hate when they design the bathroom to be part of the bedroom. I understand it to be the “modern” style, but It would put me off booking here again.

The property was exceptional and in a great location. Barceló is extremely well kept and evident a great amount of care went into the finishing touches.
The food and drink are a drawback. The bar staff were not well trained and struggled to manage the customers. The food is a let down, despite having all inclusive we chose to eat outside the property. Lack of care, low quality and generally not edible.
Housekeeping could be better, lack of care and attention to the small details, the linen was changed but otherwise very little cleaning around the room / outside space was evident.
1.5 / 5.0
Location is good. Food was varied and cooked fresh at every meal. Drinks were plentiful on all inclusive.
The cleaning and housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Food and drinks were left uncleared in communal areas and the tables in the dining room were not cleared efficiently, with people having to wait for tables. The mini bar, coffee and water in the room was full on arrival, but never filled up throughout ( when asked, was told that it’s only provided as a courtesy on arrival). With the odd exception, staff were generally unhelpful, quite rude and abrupt. The AI band was taken at check out which I feel is quite petty given the cost for the sake of a couple more hours. The layout of the grounds is bizarre with more dead ends than exits! At £360 per night it’s very expensive and definitely not worth the money. Would not stay again or indeed recommend it to anyone.

Great location between Marina and old town. Very impressive hotel. Lots of sun loungers. Large swimming pool
Hotel bar area felt too corporate. The bar didn't really capitalise on the grand area that was available to it. Buffet breakfast not great no table service for tea or coffee. Limited fruits. More than 50% of staff only spoke Spanish, although all were pleasant.

The hotel is new, modern and up to date. We had a superior sea view room with a balcony and sunbeds. We loved our room. The large pool area is excellent, with lots of sunbeds. The hotel is within walking distance of the marina and the port. All staff were friendly, helpful and worked hard.
I didn’t find the dining room relaxing as it was too big and busy. I would choose bed and breakfast only if I were to return. Food was not replenished if it ran out. You had to be in early to take advantage of the range of foods on offer. By the time you queued and gathered up what you wanted to eat, it was cold.

Newly built, Morden, good facilities. Pool, Entertainment and Breeze bar staff were amazing.
The food was poor, drinks were not included in half board at dinner. I would only recommend the breakfast. No slippers, robes, and no bin (outside of sanitary bin). Also, the staff gave different information every time which contradicted the app they tell you to download. I appreciate it’s new but basic things such as which restaurants should be open or gym times should be known.

Easy to park
Too big one km to walk to breakfast and back. 3 times the room key did not work in one day. Which meant 350m walk back to reception. No access to the beach and bars from the hotel. Layout terrible, huge long corridors. Not a holiday hotel.

The customer service at this hotel is non existent and they ignore complaints. Any replies you see on social media are rubbish and just for advertising for them to save face. Whilst we were there they hired a specialist complaints person to try to stop all of the bad reviews. So if you see anything positive it is probably fake. We had to complain daily about the issues I have raised below and they were never fixed. On top of that the hotel is not finished. There is a lot of construction still needed and even more snagging. Avoid this place as it is dirty they do not provide the services you pay for and then just make excuses. The first day the wardrobe door fell on me and hurt my shoulder no one cared. It was outrageous. They should not have opened. Mirrors in the lift are all cracked and taped up. Taps and hand dryers don't work, The grouting around the pool cuts you feet and is uneven Seagulls occupy the main pool and poo in and around it so no one uses it. I could go on but hopefully you are getting the picture. Service levels are appalling and the management team useless Barcelo should be ashamed of themselves. So there is nothing good to say !
There isn't a beach. It is not 500 yards as they now advertise it is 20 minutes walk away and a very busy public beach. The hotel is still under construction so no access to the marina or seafront you have to walk around the whole perimeter it takes 20 mins. I have added a picture of the road ! The food was disgusting. Terrible selection and it was very random. everything was stone cold and you were served the same food selections for lunch and dinner. They did not clean the fish and seafood properly and on the rare occasions chicken was available it was uncooked. So even though we paid for all inclusive we ate out most nights. The hotel was dirty and the tables were not cleared so dirty plates etc were all around you when you dined in the buffet restaurant and snack bar. Half of the restaurants were closed. The beauty salon was also closed and there were limited if no activities for adults. The swim up pool is a lie its 5 cm deep it is a paddling pool and you certainly cannot relax let alone swim in it. They do not clean the rooms daily there is also no turn down service They did not supply water and soft drinks as paid for and there is no room service as advertised. Minor detail but no bathrobes or slippers in the room. You pay for full service and they do not deliver. It is a joke they are a 2 star not 4 ! Don't waste your money.

The reception staff, especially Rishki, Laikhen and Fran were extremely kind, professional, patient and helpful. The guy from Nigeria who cleaned my room was excellent and good humoured. Restaurant staff was nice and helpful, too. The rooms are nicely decorated, beds are great, balconies facing the ocean-I had lateral views - are very nice and spacious. Breakfast and dinner was excellent, great choice, fresh produce, perfect. I had half board and it was absolutely worth it and I would recommend it! The hotel is spread across many hectars, so it does not come across as too overwhelming (although, having known Lanzarote and Playa Blanca for some 25 years, there is too much tourism now...). All in all, I would stay again in the hotel :)
I found the wifi quite poor and slow, compared to other places where I stayed in the past in Playa Blanca. If you need to do "business", like video conferencing, it is complicated....As for restaurant services: use fresh loose tea leaves (which also come in tea bags) rather than the insipid tea bags, also a greater variety of tea would be nice. Use real coffee beans (the coffee machines, cafeteria style in the buffet room produce tasteless liquid. I always went to the pool bars and reception bar to buy a cup of coffee, as they have the "real" machines) The hotel should have opened or created an exit to the paseo maritimo in order to have direct access to the sea promenade instead of "contourner" and crossing streets and a parking lot wasteland. Also, the loud music (animation from the pool side bar). I changed rooms therefore and would not recommend any room facing the swimming pools for that matter, unless you thrive on music and animation thrills and sounds emitted by excited humans in the evening.

Hotel was not ready for the crows in the morning for breakfast? I was giving the wrong room at first then the showed me 3 more rooms and not what I booked then AFTER 2 HOURS I got the room I booked. I was in the royal side of the hotel but could not use the swimming pool or the bar and restaurant total wast of money €5,500 is a lot of money to pay for a disaster of a holiday. Rooms are a bit funny shower and toilet are open in the bed room who ever designed this must be mad everyone needs a bit of privacy. I saw staff fighting wanting to walk out not good to see that on your holidays. Never go back there again. There was seagulls in the swimming all the time washing themselves see the photos.
