This four-storey home has a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, a utility with fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, a dining room, a sitting room with Smart TV and DVD player, and a first-floor snug with Smart TV and DVD player. The bedrooms consist of a king-size and double bedroom with en-suites, a twin and a super king-size (zip/link, can be twin upon request) with en-suites, and a further king-size and 2ft 6in twin room, serviced by a bathroom and separate shower room. Outside there is a front terraced garden with furniture, an enclosed rear garden with furniture, bike storage, and roadside parking. Two well-behaved dogs welcomed but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price, along with a highchair and travel cot. You'll find a shop in 0.2 miles, a pub in 0.3, River Greta in 1.5 miles, and Derwentwater in 2 miles. For a large base for a family getaway to Cumbria, book Squirrel Lodge. Note: There are steps to the exterior; please take care.

Additional dogs accepted on request a charge of £30 per pet. Pets not allowed on furniture or in beds. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 0.2 miles, pub 0.3, River Greta 1.5 miles, Derwent water 2 miles. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater. With plenty of attractions for the kids, lovely parks and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park this is a great Lakeland destination whatever the time of year.
