The home was more beautiful than photos showed, the spaciousness of home was perfect, the views and location added to a restful and fantastic trip. Local restaurants, Steve’s, Half Shell, and Rack House had our taste buds happy, happy, happy. The host was extremely helpful, gracious and very attentive. It was a wonderful time by all!!

We enjoyed our stay for a family wedding, and will for sure be back! Wonderful location and very spacious. We had 4 generations staying together and everyone enjoyed it!

Great property and excellent location. This property has an unbelievable view of the ocean. Right out on the covered deck there is a fantastic view. We were not expecting to be that close to the ocean. No need to drive. Our family group of 10 - 5 adults and 5 kids, really enjoyed the house. It was perfect for our group. Really nice bedrooms with comfortable beds - plenty of sleeping area. The separate apartment worked well for our adult daughter and her daughter.
The host supplied Keurig Pods for coffee along with cream and also a coffee pot and other coffee and tea. The living room is as spacious as described. The kids enjoyed the living room and large TV. The kitchen table along with a center island bar more than supplied enough space. Washer and dryer worked well, with an ample supply of detergent. Our family spent a lot of time at the beach and the kids as well as the adults had a blast - just a little sunburnt. There are plenty of things to do, such as the Mississippi Aquarium and some of us even went on a swamp boat ride and tour. We would certainly stay here again for any trip to Gulfport. Fantastic!

Overall high marks for this property and the owner, Rick. Bottom line is we enjoyed nearly every aspect of the stay. My sisters and I enjoyed the kitchen layout but wish the selection pots, pans, etc. WasQ bit better. We would rent here again without hesitation.

Beautiful home just a walk away from the beach. Close to all the attractions. Nothing more than a 20 minute drive. Great places to eat. Lota of kids attractions. Beautiful sunsets in Bay St Louis as well as delicious ice cream!! Everything was easy!

Our family of 10, ages 11 months to 61 years, loved this property. Rick, the new owner, was very accommodating, and has the house is in great shape. While we were there, a new air-conditioning unit was put in for the upstairs apartment that kept it very cool.
We loved how close it was to the beach. Every day we had the beach to ourselves. The sand was white and the water was great. The back patio space is a terrific area to hang out, visit, and have water balloon fights. The front porch was a great place to have morning coffee. There was plenty of room inside for us to spread out. We liked the big kitchen and cooked several meals there. There was a pack and play and highchair for the little one. There are tons of beach toys too. We highly recommend this property and hope we can come back.

Than you Rick for sharing your wonderful “Home Away from Home”! The perfect size for our family of 7! The home was exactly as described! Clean, comfortable and very relaxing! We enjoyed the beach almost every day having it pretty much all to ourselves. We tried a few of the local restaurants! (All were delicious!) We took the ferry out to Ship Island and saw dolphins and stingrays and found all kinds of beautiful shells!! Took a swamp tour with Cajun Encounters and saw many alligators! Headed to New Orleans a couple of days and visited the WWII museum (very interesting). Gulfport and this home were the perfect vacation destination! What a wonderful vacation with memories to cherish for a lifetime! Thank you!!!😊

This is a lovely home with good views. We were able to bring our pets (without hassle). There is a great yard for dogs. The neighborhood is quiet and very pretty. The house is close to everything. We hope to return one day. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He also replies to any questions or concerns swiftly. The house could use a good cleaning but it didn’t hinder our stay.

Overall our stay was wonderful! There was difficulty getting in to the property upon arrival, but Patrick was very quick to respond and got us in. A few towels in the upstairs apartment bathroom were overlooked during cleaning and were still laying on the counter when we got there, but again a minor issue and we just threw them in the wash. The property location is perfect. The ocean view from the back porch was beautiful and relaxing. We had an added bonus of a community Mardi Gras parade that came down the street right in front of the house. Just minutes to every attraction. Lots of character and great space in the house. We would definitely look to stay at the property again when visiting Gulfport!

Upon arrival I grew concerned. The grass surrounding the property was not cut. It had not been for awhile. The property is not a well-maintained vacation-level property. When we opened the door there was an odor. Things appear ‘nice’ from a distance. But as we toured the property, I noticed the kitchen was not clean. There was old, collect dirt in all the floor corners. There were visible crumbs. I took a Lysol wipe and rubbed it across the counter and it was dirty! I wish I could add photos. We did the same for the floor and it was dirty. The refrigerator had visible dirt especially in all in the corners. The oven was filthy. I moved to the sitting area and the couches were dirty. Piled up dog hair was visible on the top level of pull out couch. The sheets on the pull out couch were dirty. Then I noticed the first dead cockroach in the family room in front of the mantle. We moved to the bedrooms and the sheets were dirty. There was hair in one of the beds and we found a candy wrapper made up in one of the beds. There were more dead roaches in each of the bedrooms. Same in bathrooms. Someone squished a roach with a toilet paper roll and left it there for guests to use. Why didn’t housekeeping at least vacuum them up?The apt was dirty, musty and hot. I called the owner. He stated the cockroaches were due to the oak trees? Ok. But that wasn’t in the listing. There were promises made, but not kept. “Go get a meal on me and I’ll get housekeeping to come back and clean up”. All the places he recommended were closed btw. But we found a Waffle House and tried to make the best of it while we waited for the unit to be cleaned. Maybe all the roaches are dead. Maybe we can try and stick it out if they clean up. It’s so late and the kids are tired. We’re tired. We can’t drive 6 hours home now. Housekeeping came, we discussed what to clean, but she did not clean! When we turned on the lights live roaches were everywhere! We put the kids in the car and started calling to find somewhere to stay. It’s after midnight by now. I called the owner- “If you have to get a room, I’ll pay for it”. “ I’ll refund your stay”. We shelled out more for a hotel just yo sleep and check out the same day. We were not reimbursed. Luckily we were able to find decent accommodations at an additional cost just to try to salvage the trip. After promising a refund, the owner only gave a partial reimbursement, even though he promised a full reimbursement. That never happened. Beware.

Family was able to come together from various places to celebrate a 60th birthday on the coast. The home is beautiful and perfect for our family. We enjoyed meals in the impressive kitchen and time on the beach. However, the WiFi did not work at all, so there was no TV or internet access. We watched the neighboring lots have the grass cut, but the grass at the house was very high and did not seem to have been cut for quite some time. It was difficult to walk the dog, but we made it work. Overall, we really enjoyed the home and the time we got to spend together.

The space was perfect for the wide age ranges in our group and the location could not have been more perfect! Comfortable beds and plenty of kitchenware for cooking. July in Mississippi is no joke but the main house stayed cool. The apartment above the garage got a little warm (no surprise- got all the days sun) but we only used that for sleeping anyway. Shopping and restaurants close by and the beach was almost spitting distance. Wonderful stay and hope to get everyone together again there next year!

We very much enjoyed this property! We squeezed in 11 adults and 6 kids- but it didn’t feel like it! Lots of outdoor space! We cooked many meals there and they had all the utensils we needed! The only downside to this property was the yard not being mowed, but since the back patio is large that made it manageable! We walked to a few restaurants and watched the fireworks from the beach on 4th of July! The owner was very quick to answer all questions and accommodating!
