This home is located directly on Owasco Lake along the east side offering easy access and spectacular panoramic views. This is a beautifully appointed and decorated home with an open living concept. It's the perfect getaway for those large family & friend get togethers as well as offering a special retreat for couples. Spectacular views of the lake are provided through large patio glass doors and 95 feet of shale beach waterfront will add to your enjoyment.
This home is perfectly located for access to local attractions in the area as well -- you can easily get to the many conveniences in both Auburn and just a quick drive to the east in Skaneateles. Some of the local attractions of interest in the area include the Finger Lakes Wineries, Mirbeau Spa, Merry-Go-Round Playhouse or Emerson Park, Mid Lakes Navigation Boat Tours, Local Marinas for Boat Rentals, Waterloo Outlet Stores, and the regions Ski Slopes (Song Mountain, Skaneateles Ski Club, and Greek Peak). Enjoy the beautiful and colorful fall and winter scenery directly from this home or travel around the finger lakes area to take in all our region has to offer.
Inside the home there is a large eat in kitchen with expansive counter tops / island and all of the amenities to create your culinary delights. On the main level there is a family room and dining areas that lead out to the large, wrap around covered deck. The lake views from the main level are absolutely stunning, from both inside the home and out on the deck. The home offers a total of 5 bedrooms with ample room for guests to spread out and for privacy. The second level offers a wonderful master bedroom that overlooks the lake. There are 3 other separate bedrooms on the 2nd floor as well, and a 1st floor bedroom with easy access to the main level. There are 2 fireplaces in the home – a gas fireplace inside, and a wood burning fireplace on the outside deck. A fire pit is also located on the beach for those evening roasting of marshmallows by the lake. Firewood is provided for your convenience.
Outside there is over 90 feet of beautiful lakefront, with an additional lakeside deck, and dock which is perfect for sunbathing, swimming, fishing, or just relaxing. The sprawling, covered deck is great for large family gatherings and cookouts. The lake views from both decks are expansive and absolutely breathtaking. There are kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, fishing poles, outdoor patio furniture and lounge chairs & beach towels available for your use. A anchorage mooring is provided for guests that bring a boat. Just pack your clothes and come stay with us!
Primary guest will need to be 25 years of age or older, required to sign the owners personal rental agreement (emailed separately after booking is accepted) & provide valid proof of I.D.
Owner strictly prohibits any special event gatherings including but not limited to birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette, bridal, baby receptions, brunches, etc.
Guests will be responsible for damages or other additional expenses. (Credit card is not charged unless damage, etc is found)
Air-conditioned accommodations at this vacation home offer a fully equipped kitchen, large indoor / outdoor dining tables, comfortable living space furniture and coffee maker. This home was perfect for our week-long stay. There’s plenty of outdoor space (both in and out of the sun) and seating. Furnishings are nice and the home was extremely clean. The kitchen works well for large groups. We would absolutely rent this home again.

Very nice house. Well appointed. Awning covered deck was our favorite spot. Great sunsets. Lake is great for swimming and floating. Close to golf, boat rentals, and of course Tom Thumb ice cream.

This was our families fifth summer renting on Owasco Lake. Our first time at the Sunset Beach lake home.
We took full advantage of all this beautiful home had to offer. Coffee morning views on the upper deck, paddling, floating, swimming, fishing & playing on the beach front most of the day then family dinners on the covered deck and ending our day with a fire and s’mores.
The beds were comfortable and the decor inside exactly as pictured on the website. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with accessories; leave your beach towels at home! We hoped to return in 2025 but July was already booked. We’ll try earlier next year!

I was trying to think of a word to describe our stay here last week and amazing just doesn’t cover it. The house is gorgeous inside and out and we had such a wonderful time that we barely left the property! The location is perfect with beautiful sunsets and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. In the description, it gives you a short list of things you should bring and they weren’t kidding! Everything and more is provided! I greatly appreciated that there was just one step into the home for my elderly mother as well as a first floor bedroom for her. The owners were great and answered any questions we had with fast communication. We are already looking at when we can come back to visit. This house is an absolute dream!

I've stayed at a number of VRBO's. And many of those were lake houses. This property has to be one of the best. The house is fantastic, The location is fantastic, the deck and dock are fantastic. Tony is very accommodating and very good at communicating. Everything you could possibly need is located in the house or in the garage for your use. Paddleboards, kayaks, life jackets, additional chairs, etc.
The outside living space / dining room was a great place to share dinner and breakfast. The awning over the rear deck made the space usable at all times.
We will be back.

My siblings rented four cottages on Lake Owasco for a nephew's wedding and family reunion, and by all accounts this was the best house. Gathering areas inside and out were spacious, modern and comfortable, all with great views. I loved the various places to sit outside, shaded and sunny, but sipping wine at the end of the dock while watching the sunset was simply the best! Special kudos to our hosts: In addition to excellent communication generally, they accommodated a family member with allergies by providing fragrance-free linens and towels, and even stocked special soaps for our use. I also appreciated the artistic touches throughout the home and the lovely welcome basket. Our hosts clearly care about the home and the happiness of their guests. Thank you Tony & Joette!

Getting the family to slow down and take a break this was the perfect getaway. The lake was beautiful. The accommodations were clean the house provided everything we needed for a beautiful say I would recommend this anytime. We took our three children with their spouses and children. something fun for everyone.

We had a wonderful stay at the sunset beach house! The home was clean and had all the essential cookware necessary for a weekend stay with family. The views on the lake a gorgeous, and the house was in a great location for day trips to Auburn and Ithaca. A++ highly recommend staying here for a family getaway.

Wonderful! Perfect place for our family to gather from all over the country to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from SU, her birthday, and Mothers Day! Tony was awesome - offered all kinds of help in getting to know what was where, local sites, and even let us use some of his fishing tackle 😁. Beautiful place in a beautiful setting - highly recommend!

From a well stocked kitchen. You could cook Thanksgiving diner ,no problem. Great towels and great beds.
Best part was sitting outside with a cup of coffee in the morning-peaseful and serene.
Breathtaking susets.
Our children were out on the water as much as they could be.

We rented the property for a memorial trip for a dear friend. From the moment we entered the property it was apparent the owners value a positive experience for their renters. The home is beautiful, the kitchen is stocked, the beds are comfortable and the house is spotless!!
I enjoyed my stay so much that I was planning on booking it for our family vacation. Unfortunately, the property is booked for the entire summer! Totally understandable!!!

In keeping with a long standing tradition of spending New Year’s Eve on a lake, we spent a long weekend at this beautiful house with gorgeous views of Owasco Lake. Immaculate and very well stocked with quality items ,very comfy beds, and 2 fireplaces. Owner was very communicative and attentive.
We look forward to spending a week here in the summer.

This house and property has an amazing view of the lake. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable. We used both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces. The host, Tony, was very accommodating and helpful during our stay. This VRBO is nearby to many wineries, vineyards, Skaneateles and the famous MacKenzie-Childs Farmhouse and visitor center. We look forward to staying here again.

This might have been the best appointed VRBO we have ever stayed in. The beds, linens and towels were lovely. The home was wonderfully stocked with things that you just might need. A little gift basket at the door was a sweet and welcome surprise.
There was plenty of room for everyone - in both the bedrooms (8 people) and in the main living space. The decks are truly spectacular.
We loved this home a lot and have already booked our friends trip again for next fall!

What a gorgeous property! Exceeded our expectations. Sitting at the end of the pier was such a peaceful experience. We had lots of space for everyone to do their own thing and great community space. Very convenient for the theatre, hikes, and restaurants. We will definitely be back again.

We stayed here with two families with kids. The host was extremely responsive to any inquiries. We spent most of our time sitting out on the dock (with Adirondack chairs) which was a nice surprise! We also used the outdoor fireplace which was very relaxing. We stayed mostly at the home but did do a day hike at Filmore Glen state park. The swimming basin had closed for the season but the views on the hike were really nice and it was not crowded. The kitchen was well stocked.

Lovely home on a perfect lake setting. The house was roomy, nicely decorate and very comfortable with a beautiful spacious covered deck. We enjoyed the easy access to the lake, the kayaks and swimming. Kitchen was very well stocked with great kitchenware. We loved having our meals on the deck with the beautiful lake view. The host was very welcoming and responsive. We can't wait to return.

The house is beautiful and clean, and boasts amazing sunset views over Owasco Lake. We had a group of 4 adults and 5 kids. There was plenty of space and entertainment for all ages.
Everything is just as advertised and photographed. Our group particularly appreciated the outdoor space, including the patio with covered and uncovered sections, nice yard for kids to run around, deck overlooking the lake, and private beach area for swimming/fishing/kayaking.
It’s clear from the moment you walk in that Tony and Joette want you to fully enjoy your stay. We were greeted by a welcome basket with goodies and a binder full of helpful info and local recommendations. The kitchen is well stocked, there’s reserves of toiletries, first aid, and outdoor supplies. They are top shelf hosts. 5/5, would happily visit again.

Clean, newly updated house on a lovely waterfront setting. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood on the east side of Owasco Lake. Owners were responsive and thoughtfully provided a welcome goodie basket and useful renter’s manual with details of the house and area. Relax and enjoy your stay!
