Would not recommend.
Never stayed in a self service B & B before, where you have to clear up after yourselves too!
Breakfast - continental with minimal choice.
Rooms fairly clean but very small as was the en-suite.
The staff need to wait until the guests leave before they strip and remake the beds and clean the rooms! We went back into our room after breakfast before ‘checking out’ and had to use the bathroom and the clean towels which had been put there for the next guests…we hadn’t even packed our bags at this point!! Seems a waste as they would need to clean the bathroom again and provide more clean towels (hopefully!)
On the positive, it is well situated and a great position to be in for the amenities of Douglas.

My short stay at this hotel was only a few minutes walk to the town centre and bars and restaurants and shops and many more. The cleaners of a morning were amazing and very chatty and give you a very warm welcome, its in a good location no hills to walk in to the town centre would definitely stay here again thanks girls for a amazing break 10/10

The Elizabeth Grace offered a great little room, and home base, while in Douglas. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The five nights I stayed for the GP we're good in general, room was small but clean, breakfast variety was very good.
Very disappointed when an extra night was requested due to ferry cancellation, average nightly rate was £122 and reception asked £196 for one additional night, room was available but I felt this was extremely unreasonable.

Liked how convenient it was to transport to get about check out time was 11 felt like cleaning staff wanted to get room cleaned before the time

Stayed from 29th July to 5th August. Initially I wasn't sure about there being no reception area or staff on the property but it turned not to be an issue. The two Housekeepers who came in every morning were wonderful, friendly, helpful. Would prefer an ensuite room next time if I stay again. Location is great.

This property, and surrounding neighbors looked aged and worn. Pretty tight spaces. Dining was nice, staff was friendly. Slept well. Close walk to restaurants and town center.

My experience was very good if not excellent. Parking was a bit tricky as it’s a public parking and Mon-Fri 8am to 6pm restriction means you have to move your car every 2 hours, but if you’re spending the day out visiting places then parking restriction is not a worry.

The room was quite cold, and the heater was not functioning properly, only 1 pillow on the bed, no hand soap in the toilet and had to purchase one, toilet itself not very clean, too tiny with full of rust everywhere.

Good, would stay again

The checkin was good, i got the key codes early, however on arrival the room was very cold. After contacting the owners they arranged for a plumber the next day, and although the heating was dealt with it was still cold in the room. It would be good to have king size quilts on double beds. The room was very basic and there was minimal coffee etc.

Great room - minimum fuss - easy to access - would deff stay there again next visit

After a difficult start trying to work out how to activate the keypad to enter the building, we ended up having to call the proprietor.
After managing to enter the property, we had another problem.
Which one was our room?
Another phone call!
Apparently we were meant to have received a text a day earlier but I hadn't, but the text was resent and by now knew how to operate the key pad.
Room was lovely. Actual plug sockets next to the beds.
Plenty of tea and coffee supplies.
No wardrobe, just a hang rail, ended up using the small cupboard under the tea and coffee, sharing my clothes with the iron and hairdryer!
Bathroom was cosy, shall I say, but the shower was powerful and hot.
WiFi was hit and miss, and that was after you ended up with the right password as the password in the welcome pack was wrong, but the person who texted me back with the right password acted like it was MY fault I got the password wrong and didn't reply when I told her what she texted me and what was printed was different.
I couldn't remember if breakfast was included, but was pleased to see it mentioned in the welcome pack, served from 7.30-9.30.
We got down there at 8.50, only to find a breakfast free room, despite signs telling us to "help ourselves" there wasn't even so much as a bowl of cornflakes! So we had to go into town and find a cafe.

Nice clean property. Breakfast is a not generous continental and during my stay there was a problem with noisy pipework.

Did not like having to go up 4 flights of stairs with a damaged knee and no lift. Did not like having no en-suite but we all learn by our mistakes.

on arrival i had to go look for someone, to be told expedia had double booked me , so she had another property around the corner , she told me it was an upgrade as i was getting a sea view and ensuite . the place looked derelict. the toilet seat was hanging off, black marks in the shower and hand basin the furniture was dropping apart breakfast was a 5 minute walk away the sea view you couldn't see through the window, no curtains no head board on the bed , a 5 night stay was booked, i managed 3 i can put up with most things but not this, i took photos hoping to put them on here ,

There were a number of problems here that could have been prevented simply with better preparation and customer service. You are entirely on your own at this property, entering your room with a code that is supposed to be emailed to you ahead of time, and if all goes normally, you should never expect to see any employee here at all. However I never received this email as The Isle of Man is not on the UK system and internet data was not available to me. I called the phone number and one of the Managers, Amy, came to let me in. However her main interest was to deal with me as quickly as possible and get away. Really, she should have stayed around as there were several other issues. The passcode for the Wi-Fi did not work, so again I had to call, and this time reached the other Manager, who insisted several times that the passcode was correct. It was only after I read out the passcode that she realized it was wrong in 2 places. After settling that and attempting to leave my room to tour the town, I discovered that my door would not close and latch as it was supposed to. For the third time I called the number, and was told I had to open the window in the room to break the airlock. When it still didn’t work, I was told to hold the fire door open with my foot as I was closing the door. I felt as if I was being videoed for one of those crazy comedy shows. Eventually the Manager came out again, and I was able to switch rooms. The room was never cleaned during my stay of several days.

Enjoyed my stay at the Elizabeth Grace. Room was all that I needed. Neat and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Issue with no wifi was sorted out as soon as it was raised. Expected a little more from a breakfast point of view. Overall very happy. Thank you
