About this house rental
As soon as you step foot into the newly built Bright Bear Lodge, you will immediately feel the calming energy encouraging you to slow down and reconnect with nature. You'll be greeted by an inviting West Elm-furnished seating area. Feel free to kick your shoes off and stream your favorite show on the 55" Smart TV while your friends and family hang with you or over yonder in the open kitchen/dining area. If TV isn't your thing, you'll see that we've supplied you with some of our favorite games.
The kitchen has a wide area for many cooks in the kitchen and is fully stocked with a drip coffee maker, toaster, blender (for smoothies in the morning and margs at night) and much more. You'll have plenty of cookware and bakeware to whip up your favorite recipe.
Through the back door, we hope you'll enjoy the outdoor dining area and the awesome Blackstone (flat top) grill. Peer over the edge of the balcony and you and your loved ones will be wowed by the expansive outdoor space, which includes a fire pit as well as a hot tub! The dining area and fire pit are available to you enjoy for all seasons except for winter, but our 6-person HOT TUB is available year round!
When you come back inside, you'll see the half bathroom to the left. We thank you in advance for using this bathroom and keeping our hot tub pristine for both your party as well as future guests (wink wink).
There is one bedroom on the main level that is equipped with a 55" Smart TV's and king-size memory foam bed. This bedroom offers an ensuite bathroom with a dual vanity and walk-in shower with Public Goods (cruelty free & vegan) toiletries.
As you proceed upstairs, you'll be greeted by the awesome drink station and lounge area which screams morning coffee hang or nightcap central. We hope you enjoy the seating area and 55" Smart TV and especially the coffee station, complete with Fellow coffee making products (grinder, kettle, and pourover) whole beans and all of the coffee fixings you'll need including a variety of syrups and sweeteners. Can you tell the owners have a thing for coffee? ;)
Through the first bedroom, you'll have access to the other king bed, complete with 12" memory foam mattress and charging station nightstands.
As you head down the hallway, be prepared to experience the slumber party hang out of your dreams! There two full size beds, comfortable bedding, and 55" Smart TV makes this the perfect room to have a separate movie night! There is one work station in this room as well.
There's an additional full bathroom (complete with Public Goods toiletries) as well as full size washer and dryer on this level. Detergent is provided as well as starter packs of toilet paper and dish pods for you to truly enjoy all the comforts of home.
You will have access to the entire house, with the exclusion of the two locked supply closets. One is located under the stairs and the other is in the upstairs king room. When outside, please mind your noise levels and ensure your trash is properly disposed of in the provided bear-proof bins. We love our neighbors and hope they'll continue to love us too!
This house is located on a private road just off of a busy road with easy access to the highways, grocery store, and restaurants. Ingles is the nearest grocery store, about 5 min away.
There are homes nearby, including a house perched on a hill that looks down to the backyard space. Since it's a neighborhood that is comprised of both short term rental and full time residents, you may hear noise on the weekends and we try to encourage our guests to be mindful of their noise levels as well, especially on weekdays.
You can rest easy knowing your space is covered with $5,000 in "All-Risk" Damage in addition to Airbnb's AirCover. Although rare, accidental damage from guests does happen. Traditionally, this was managed via security deposit or vacation rental damage insurance purchased by guests. Both are cumbersome and often have big limitations in protection.
With "All-Risk" protection, all accidental damage from a guest is covered unless it is specifically excluded, such as, but not limited to, normal wear and tear, infestation, or prior damage. It's vacation time, so enjoy it with the peace of mind knowing that if an accident happens and damage occurs, you are protected under your damage protection plan through Waivo!
- You MUST shower before entering the hot tub. If there is evidence that you have not showered prior to entering and the filter or water quality are impacted, you may be charged an $85 deep clean/refill fee.
- No glass allowed near the hot tub.
- Keep a close eye on your kids while being on the balcony, yard or in the hot tub.
- No parties or events allowed.
- No smoking allowed.
- No pets allowed.
- No unregistered guests allowed.
- Please don’t eat or drink in the bedrooms.
- Please turn off the AC when you go out.
- Please respect check-in (4:00 PM) and check-out (10:00 AM) times.
- Please do your dishes.
- All trash must be bagged or it will not be taken by city garbage services
- No illegal substances allowed on the premises.
- Please take care of the furnishings. Report any damages and/or breakages in a reasonably timely manner.
- If the home requires excess cleaning, and additional cleaning charge may be charged upon checkout.
Our place is located at 9 Brightley Lane, Asheville, NC 28805. If you are coming from Riceville Rd, you will turn left onto Upper Grassy Branch Extension, and then right onto Brightley Ln (right before the yellow reflector). Our house is the tall white house on the far right. Feel free to park in front of the house or along the side (in front of the fence gate), but make sure to leave room for our neighbors to the left to access their house. One thing to note: since this is a new construction home, use Google Maps to navigate since Apple Maps hasn't registered the address yet :)

Cute house. Easy check in process. Host was very easy to communicate with.

Everything was clean and as advertised. We loved the house and the perks! Plenty of kitchen gadgets to use as well. The cameras by the hot tub felt intrusive though, so that was a bit of a bummer.
