About this cottage rental
It is a beautifully presented and well equipped 3 bedroom cottage, in a quiet and secluded location, minutes from the shores of Loch Ness and the centre of Fort Augustus.
Oiseval is situated at the end of a short private drive which turns off the Great Glen Way at the eastern end of the village. It is a 5-10 minute walk from the village centre and the shores of Loch Ness.
To the front of the property there is private parking large enough for several vehicles. There is also space to put out garden furniture and enjoy the views of the Ness mountain range, on the south side of Loch Ness.
The entrance takes you into a small snug and large well equipped eat in kitchen, with views over the Ness mountains at the front and Inchnacardoch forest and the back garden on the opposite side.
The double height sitting room has large picture windows, to take advantage of the views, and the sitting room has a wood burning log stove (wood is available from the log shed) which is a very useful addition to the heating system in autumn and winter months.
There is a utility room which houses the washing machine and dryer and a high chair, iron and ironing board are also stored here. There is also a separate accessible entrance to the back of the house.
The master bedroom with a king size bed, spacious built in wardrobe, and an en-suite shower room is downstairs with a separate accessible toilet downstairs also. The other two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other two singles, are upstairs. Both have good storage space. The family bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle is also upstairs. The cot is kept in the blanket box in the room with twin beds.
The house was built in 2011 and, according to the owners at the time, was designed to include “all the best bits of the other houses they had lived in”. The result is a very comfortable modern house with great thought given to making it an easy place to live in whilst retaining the look of a traditional Highland home.
Oiseval will make an ideal holiday base for families and friends.
