Beautiful historical building with amazing interior hall for many of the rooms. Many little shops and businesses on the main floor which also is public access. Right by a lot of things to do and see in Cleveland!

I booked thru hotels.com the first night including breakfast for three. At check in I booked a second night, clerk offered an "upgrade" to a suite for 12 USD more for both night- but it was not a suite, just a conventional two queen bedroom. Disappointed. At check out, a lady was charging me breakfast for both days for all guests, charging me close to 400 USD. I showed her in my reservation that fee included free breakfast. After her discussing with her manager decided to apply the free breakfast. I felt I was been robbed. The place is a jewel, breakfast quality is great...unfortunate is in bad conditions and service is not at the level of the property. Still we enjoyed our thanks giving holiday.

The hotel is in a great area if you are looking for a city experience in Cleveland. The hotel shower water is very heavily chlorinated and the comforter on the bed was flat. Not fluffy, if that’s your thing. Overall it was a good stay!

Your staff was friendly and helpful. Proximity to parking and to a variety of restaurants was great. Room for improvement: There are two entrances and we entered from Euclid; finding the lobby was confusing because of a sign over the elevator. It felt anything but welcoming, and juggling clothes on hangers as well as luggage and bags, we had to walk quite a distance to find the check-in desk at the far end. “Carts” to load our luggage on would have been helpful both going to our room and when leaving our room, taking our things to the elevator, and then to the lobby to check out. I suggest welcome signs at both entrances with directions for the lobby, dining areas, resources available, etc - whatever would give me reasons to rate you as superior instead of average. We had no idea where to find what or even what there was until we went searching. There was no literature regarding what was offered. The bathroom wasn’t vented and that was unpleasant. We were tired after getting lost coming back from the concert. I went to get ice but ice machines weren’t an option on the 9th floor. I returned to our room, called the main desk, and was told there were ice machines on both ends of the 8th floor. There was an ice machine on only one end of the 8th floor, but there was a sign on it that it wasn’t working. We walked down to the 7th floor and found one. It wasn’t just inconvenient. I asked my friend to go with me because it didn’t feel safe roaming around trying to find ice.

We had the unfortunate coincidence of staying during a wedding reception. While the music ended at 11 the noise continued for a while. We had flights to catch early sunday and could not get to sleep. This should have been mentioned while booking not when we checked in. Minor point. The lounge and restaurant were excelient although more staffing in the restaurant would have helped.

Walkable to the concert venue and R&R Hall of Fame. Also great variety of restaurants and bars within walking distance. We appreciated the safety measures used for keying in and out of the hotel. The staff, everyone we came into contact with, were very friendly and helpful.
