The receptionist guy not friendly, I left my insulin at the room and i came back from olten back to luzern to retrieve my insulin and i ran from the train station to the hotel and the receptionist guy was so rude he thought i was rushing him, i was just out of breath because i ran from the terminal worried that the cleaner threw my insulin, he was rude when i was asking him if they already cleaned the room. He said i dont know!!! And just gave me key to the room and look for it .

Amazing location. Hotel rooms are simple but clean. I’d stay at this hotel again!

The location was amazing, and the staff was great. The TV didn’t work because of patchy Wi-Fi. It was hard to figure out where to park, but the staff was great once we checked in. The room was spacious

We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite. It was spacious and the view is breathtaking! Would stay there again in a heartbeat! In the heart of Old Town over looking the water front! With a balcony!

the room was fine and clean. the beds were comfortable.
The strange thing was there was no lobby and you checked in at a partner hotel.
The entrance was in an alley that was usually filled with restaurant employes smoking under the overhang.

Most pictures shown on expedia were totally different to what we got, very disappointing. Room did not have AC which is understandable weather was nice, there was 2 little fans in a closet but none of them worked.

The day we arrived, the gentleman that greeted us was not the friendliest. Some people should understand that if you are working at the front desk you should be nice and welcoming to your guests. I wish I had his name. Later we were helped by a blond guy that was super nice. On our check out Kai was also super nice as well. In general the hotel is ok. Was close to everything. For one night was good enough. We opted to pay for breakfast which was great and the variety was very good.

Nice room for stay in Lucerne. The hotel was in Old Town. Room was quiet at night even with the windows open. Lots of things to do and see during the day. Easy walk to train station and could be anywhere in Switzerland in 1-2 hours.

You can’t beat the location but it’s very noisy. There is a restaurant downstairs and the clock tower. You can close the windows to help block out the noise but then it was way too hot in the room even with the fan. There are no staff on site they are at their other hotel which is also where you check in. Breakfast is also available at a price at the other hotel. Otherwise room was fine and the location is fantastic. They offer valet parking if you arrive by car as we did again at the other property which is about a 2 min walk

Room was very dirty and small. Staff was very rude and not willing to help. No A/c in the room.
Terrible stay. Avoid at all cost

Our room was on the third floor over the kitchen. Dishes banging from 5 am to 11 pm every night. Whenever the kitchen employees step out to smoke, the smoke goes right in the window to our hotel room. The room was clean but that room location itself sucked!

Overall disappointed with the stay. For a foreigner like me traveling to Lucerne for the first time, I didn’t realize that this hotel was difficult to get to. It is located in the walking district so driving your car there was weird as you had to navigate through hundreds of people and tight corners. We also had to park at a different hotel to be able to valet the car, as the hotel itself did not have a front desk. If you don’t have a car you won’t run into these problems.
After that, we go up to our room which was pretty dusty and dirty, more than what I would expect. This hotel was also built in the 1500s so there was no air conditioning. This was a bit of a pain for us as it was really hot out. We opened the windows at night for a breeze which helped.
The next thing was the noise. Even though we were on the top floor, it was very noisy even after restaurants and shops closed. The church bell would ring loudly every 2 hours throughout the night, and the street cleaning cars started around 4am. Overall it was tough getting any sleep.
The staff was very friendly. Everything else was very poor. We are not likely to return, at least not in the summer and without a car.

We stayed in this hotel only for 1 night and this is the worse experienced ever had. We came early and we waited until 3pm before they let us check in into our assign room even though the room is clean. Staff has no customer service specially the front desk one. He kinda rude because he was talking to the customer without proper interaction and not friendly. The room is big but no aircon, only one electric fan that was working and was so hot at night. There is no 24hrs front desk or service desk and no one to ask for something we need. The lift is too narrow and can’t accommodate 2 people with the luggages. I would not happy staying in this hotel & i don’t think this is recommendable to my other frienda who wants to visit Luzern. But anyhow, the location and the place is good, accessible to shopping center and restaurants but little bit far to walk to the train station.

The hotel is very difficult to find . The check in process is very difficult as it is in another location at a different hotel. This hotel entrance is hidden in a tunnel. There is no ac and the windows open up to a very busy plaza with a restaurant below . There is also a clock that rings its bells upon the hour . The room decor was like a brothol including a mirror on the ceiling . Our room wasn’t ready at 3; PM checking , they were mopping when we tried to enter . In the morning the glass recycling truck made a tremendous noise around 7:00 am .

Overall nice stay. Hot tub in the room was nice, odd decor (statues of David and Beethoven?) No air conditioning or fan so very hot to sleep. Otherwise clean and great location right near the covered bridge.

Property is in a perfect location right by the chapel bridge. Large room but could use some freshening up.

The Good: Generally clean for old property, beds comfortable
The Bad: surprise charges (additional taxes/fees) at check in, had to check in at a different location from the hotel, very hot with only 2 small fans, mimimal outlets, room over very busy restaurant and staff took breaks and clean up below window resulting in lots of noise early morning/late nights, employee cigarette smoke rose into our window. Would not stay here again.

Convenient location in Lucerne Altstadt. 10 mins walk from Lucerne HB station. Friendly staff (reception is in the partner Hotel Krone close by). Very small lift to bedroom floors. Reasonable sized bedroom - Farmer themed, with multiple cockerell figures on the walls - a bit starnge! Farmewr room is located at the back of the property overlooking roofs and an alleyway - no vista! The wardrobe had a digital security safe for storing valuables. Bathroom was clean. Shower (over the bath) was okay, but no dedicated shower (cubicle).
No air conditioning - expected in all decent hotels nowadays, and given it was 30C ambient temperature. Flies flying around room and some dead on the floor. Had to keep window open for some ventilation but with curtain across to prevent heat build up in the room.
Breakfast was at the nearby pertner Hotel Krone - resonable choice and decent quality. Out of choice, I would not stay at the Hotel Magic again, but would consider staying at the partner Hotel Krone (having previously stayed there).
