Booked as a premium romatic getaway, felt more budget for the ~170€ one night price tag.
3 star hotel not 4 as listed on hotels.com.
Mould in shower floor. Leaking water around the sink area. Bottom quarter of bathroom door was falling apart due to damp. Didnt close either. Free spa access provided in the pricey room deal but must wear flip flops & shower cap which the hotel will sell you rather than supply you. Several of the facilities in the spa were either out of service or broken. Common areas are pretty basic also. When sharing concerns regarding the room the staff (who were very pleasant) said they knew of the issues.
Generally - has the bones of a nice place, great location too, just not very well maintained.

Absolutely fantastic spot out of the hustle and bustle of San Sebastien which is only 20 min away by taxi. The staff at this hotel are incredibly helpful and friendly and really made the stay wonderful. The spa is top notch, as is the food!

Nice beach and area for relaxing. Possible to hike and bike, however small community and you would need a car for trips if you stay longer.

Great location in front of a small but nice and secluded beach; friendly staff always ready to provide top assistance to guests; great breakfast, menu of the day and pintxos bar. Our hotel room had an outstanding view of the beach and a jacuzzi. This hotel is a gem in a small town (not much see there) close to San Sebastián and other beach towns such as Getaria and Zarautz. We will definitely stay at this hotel again whenever we are in the area.

Decided to stay here as I last stayed on several occasions with my young family many years ago. The hotel ownership has changed and it's had a facelift. The rooms are comfortable and modern with a nice little terrace with views of the beach. We didn't get to eat here, but in the past the food used to be excellent.

Orio is certainly not somewhere you will fall across. We fell for the few 'outstanding reviews' issued. The hotel is situated close to the beach and near many bars serving pizza, grilled fish etc. There are hundreds of car parking spaces around it. Only problem is, on a sunny day, there are thousands of people looking for those spaces so expect to pay the hotel fee of €15 for parking. We took a superior room for the benefit of a balcony and sea view with the expectation of having a nice luncheon overlooking the sea. Unfortunately we mainly overlooked the car park/garden with the hotels burger van set up below us with tub-thumping music for six hours and fifty tables of diners. We did ask the reception staff if the music could be turned down as nobody appeared to be listening to it, but to no avail. At around tea-time the hotel fire alarm sounded, but not in the rooms. We evacuated down the fire exit, walked around the front to find the hotel still in full swing, Guests still allowed to enter, lifts in use. Total abuse of all known health and safety legislation. Our complaint to reception met with a Spanish shrug of the shoulders.. Your choice.

The area was perfect if it was not for the tiny room which my wife and I kept bumping into each other the bed was extremely extremely hard air conditioning was not working

The room was very small- did not look like picture on websites.. the bathroom was hard to keep dry - no exhaust fans so lots of condensation. Toilet was right next to shower-- just all too cramped. No place to hang bath towel near shower .. staff was very nice..Area is quiet-not many restaurants to choose from.

Everything else was booked and i was forced to stay here for one night. Hotel is modern. Wifi signal was strong. Shower had constant hot water and great water pressure. Mattresses were firm and super comfy. I would stay here again. The optional Breakfast buffet was good value.

The hotel stands out, right in front of the beach. It was very clean and apparently renovated from a hotel that was very old and taken over. The room was very nice and was across the street from two restaurants- both of which were open during all hours. It's about 15 min drive from San Sebastián and in a quiet little town called Orio. It's steps from the beach and has a playground on the beach for kids. Wet nice place that I would stay at agin.
