About this cabin rental
A spacious three bedroom cabin sitting on two and half acres of land, Hand Hewn Hideaway is three levels of luxury and family fun that sleeps up to 16.
On arrival, you won't be able to miss the front porch decked out with swings, picnic tables, and a rocking chair. Off to the side is a hammock and a fire pit for roasting s'mores, and just a few steps down is a small pond.
Inside, you'll enjoy the classic log cabin aesthetic with entirely updated furnishings and high end finishes. Starting at the main level, guests will enjoy the beautifully decorated living room with two couches, a leather chair, wood burning fireplace, and 65 inch flatscreen TV.
The dining table and kitchen are just around the corner from the living room. The dining table seats up to 10, with additional seating for 3 at the breakfast counter off the kitchen. The kitchen is perfect to cook for the whole family - granite countertops (tons of counter space!), all stainless steel appliances, a deep farmhouse sink, and stocked with plates, utensils, pots, and pans. There's a half bathroom too for convenience!
The master bedroom is also located on the main level and includes a king-size bed, flatscreen TV, access to the side deck, and and an incredible en suite bathroom: copper his and her sinks, a standing shower, and private copper bathtub to soak and relax. Attached to master bedroom is a nursery with a crib for any families traveling with a little one :)
The upper and side deck are also accessible from the main level. The upper deck is on top of the front porch and opens up to forest views with 4 rocking chairs, a swing, and a cute table for small bites. The side deck is where the hot tub is located; there are also rustic patio furnishings to sit back and enjoy: a swing, bench, and two chairs.
The other two bedrooms can be found upstairs. The first guest bedroom has a king-size bed, flatscreen TV, and en suite bathroom with a jetted tub and standing shower with a river stone floor. The second guest bedroom has a queen-size bed.
On the bottom floor, there's a family room with a two couches (one that pulls out as a sleeper sofa), 65 inch TV, board and table games, and kids room with four bunk beds: twin over twin. The table games are perfect for some friendly family fun whether it be a game of pool, foosball, or air hockey. The third bathroom is also downstairs and has a standing shower.
Outside the bottom floor is the front porch with all the swings, picnic tables, and rocking chair.

Location location location! This cabin is so accessible and situated right in the middle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The kids loved the game room downstairs, and the view was great. The cabin is a little older, but overall we were happy with our stay.
None of the tv was working and we contact them and no one was able to fix the TVs, tree has fall on our driveway and we was stuck inside the cabin for 7 hours.

When we got there I was blown away! Absolutely loved the cabin but after the day went on started to notice a few things… the driveway was scary narrow, the curtains in the basement weren’t secure, the lights outside the master room didn’t work, the beds were uncomfortable, the door you enter through is hard to lock, the hot tub stairs were unsteady. Now everything I’ve listed is so minor i definitely feel like the most important thing is the beds and the driveway just be careful! Other than that i absolutely loved it in every way it’s close to amenities, you get the real cabin feel it fits large families. We absolutely had a great time.

Overall, the cabin was as expected. Our next to last day, we had no power or water in the cabin. We assumed that it would be back on, so we left to enjoy our day. Whenever we returned that night, the power was still out and we still had no water! Long story short, we called the power company and was informed that the power bill had not been paid and service had been disconnected. The lady we spoke to on the phone for the cabin was very rude and hateful and told us lie after lie. We requested a refund due to a day and a half of no power and water and not to mention the food we had to throw away. We were offered a $200 refund which is unacceptable. As much as we loved this cabin and the location was great, the customers service is the worst we’ve ever experienced.

Communication was great! Loved the cabin and area! 5 stars!

Fantastic beautiful property with games, swings, and ample beds. Home is very open air and great for late night with friends; kitchen had plenty of cook tools (although we had to go out and buy salt and pepper)
I was super grateful that there was a crib for my 1 year old, however even though there’s a crib, it didn’t seem like a super suitable home to sleep a baby in just because of the location of the hot tub where people would want to be late at night and that the house is more made for friends sitting around playing games and laughing late.
Super central to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Great location.
Waterfall/pond feature picture should be taken off the listing since this has not been kept up and is more an endangerment to go near it.
Would definitely recommend this spot to friends.

This property was amazing. Beautiful view of the mountains and a perfect background for our wedding. We invited family and friends, all had enough private space. The bunk room was a perfect spot for the kids and the primary bedroom had just enough privacy for the hot tub. We didn’t have any complaints, and the reviews we read before hand were mostly about the driveway going to the cabin, but what driveway on a mountain isn’t a little steep? Overall a beautiful property and we are already making plans for next year to return.

Pictures make this place look nice, but it's not what I would expected for the price.

My family and I had a great stay at this cabin! The only thing that was a little unsettling for us for the steep and narrow driveway up to the cabin, but besides that, it was wonderful!

This cabin was huge! My family enjoyed every bit of it! I will add it’s extremely high in the mountains so if you’re not a fan of heights this is probably not the cabin for you! Overall stay was great though :)

This property was more than accommodating. We had a group of 14 ladies with us and the moment we stepped foot on the property, all 14 of us were in love. We spent only about 2 hours in downtown Gatlinburg as Grannies but that is a whole other story! The rest of our stay was spent exclusively at the cabin cooking, dancing, laughing and making memories together. Some of our lucky cabin attendees even got to see a Bear by the front of the property! While we didn't use the nursery this weekend, this property would also be perfect for families with children. Only one of us actually slept in the top bunk beds as there was only a small piece of plywood to support the bunk, but we did pull the mattresses down and make a pallet in the middle of the floor. The air flow did vary from floor to floor but that is to be expected. Overall, this cabin was wonderful & this trip is one my baby sister will remember forever! Thank you for a great stay!

We did a vacation with extended family here and everyone loved it! We had 5 adults and 7 kids ranging in age 5-16. Everyone had something to do or spot to relax. The house had everything we needed. The host was very easy to work with and had us all info before we even left home.
