A beautiful, detached cottage nestled in the heart of The Yorkshire Dales, with stunning countryside views, providing the perfect getaway for families and friends. Situated a picturesque village with a delightful county pub, it is the perfect spot for peace and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. With an abundance of walks and cycle trails from the door, this spectacular location is ideal for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. The charming Dales villages of Aysgarth, Kettlewell, Buckden, and Grassington are all within 15 miles. Just 7 miles away is the celebrated town of town of Middleham and 10 miles away sits the popular town of Leyburn, both with a range of traditional shops, pubs, and cafes to explore. For days out all the family can enjoy, visit Bolton Castle (11 miles), The Forbidden Corner (5 miles), Aysgarth Falls (10 miles) or Lightwater Valley (21 miles).
Feel instantly at home as you arrive at this charming stone cottage. Originally a Dales stone barn, it has been meticulously converted into the perfect holiday retreat whilst still retaining its character and charm. Stepping through the front door, you enter a handy entrance hall, perfect for wiping muddy boots and paws after a day of adventures. From here, move into the bright and spacious lounge, where stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales are framed by sliding doors that open to the garden. Comfortable sofas invite you to curl up in front of the open fire, perfect for a relaxing evening, while a smart TV is available for movie nights with the family. Adjacent, the kitchen/diner is both functional and stylish and is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare family meals. A farmhouse table sits under the window, perfect for enjoying meals together, whether it’s a quick breakfast or a celebratory dinner. Heading upstairs, you find a fantastic games room, perfect for both children and adults, featuring a comfortable sofa and another smart TV as well as a three in one pool, air hockey and table tennis table and range of games. There are three lovely bedrooms, all with beautiful countryside views and each designed with total comfort and relaxation in mind. One is a super-king zip-and-link that can be split into twin beds on request, one a spacious and inviting king-size and the third a cosy double. Completing the interior are two lovely bathrooms, one with a sumptuous roll-top bath, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the countryside, and another equipped with a modern shower cubicle for a quick and refreshing shower.
Heading outside, at the rear, you’ll find a beautiful enclosed private South facing garden with a patio area and lawn, ideal for outdoor dining and entertaining. A table and chairs provide a lovely spot to enjoy a BBQ while soaking up the uninterrupted spectacular views of the Dales and a bubbling hot tub offers a luxurious way to relax and unwind in the evening. At the front of the cottage, a terrace with additional table and chairs is perfect for enjoying the evening sun, providing yet another tranquil setting to appreciate the stunning surroundings.
