The Sunset Room features a queen-size bed; the Whale Room features two twin-size beds and a cute reading nook stocked with fun kids’ books. Both bedrooms have wall-mounted Smart TVs. The downstairs also features a lounge area with a wall mounted TV, a table and seating for 4, as well as a day bed and pull-out twin trundle. This level also has a laidback game room with couch seating, in addition to a foosball table and an arcade basketball hoops game.
The upstairs main level features an open concept living room with a wall mounted Smart TV, and double sliding doors offering easy access to the main deck and barbecue area. This outdoor level also provides table seating for 4, as well as lounge seating. The fully stocked kitchen features stainless steel appliances and dining table seating for 6. There’s even a highchair available for the little one! This floor also has a washer/dryer for your use (supplies provided). We've made sure to provide a great assortment of board games and puzzles ... even our family favorite Uno cards! You'll also discover a selection of books, each with a unique connection to Emerald Isle ... yours to enjoy during your stay!

The outdoor spaces offer ample areas for entertaining or just hanging out, The private patio area is completely fenced and features an in-ground pool, hot tub, propane firepit with seating area, and a covered seating area for relaxation and lounging. There is a picnic table, lounge chairs, couch seating, patio games … plenty of room to unwind after a fun day at the beach! There’s even an outdoor shower … great for post-beach or anytime use.
The upper decks offer additional seating, including a fabulous "ship's watch" lookout deck with breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Grab a morning coffee or enjoy a glass of wine at sunset and just take it all in!
Each bedroom includes a wall-mounted television with smart TV capabilities. Simply log into your favorite app to watch a movie!
The Kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee maker and a Keurig, Nutri bullet, blender, air fryer, flat skillet, crock pot, microwave, toaster, dishware, flatware, basic cooking pots/pans and utensils. Coffee, tea, and Keurig pods provided! The dining table can comfortably fit 6 people.
We provide bathroom essentials such as hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel, along with cleaning supplies like laundry detergent, dish soap, and paper products. We also provide propane tanks for the grill and fire pit (with an extra tank on-site). While we strive to keep the house fully stocked, larger groups or higher usage may result in some items running out during your stay.
Towels and bed linens are included: Bath and hand towels and bed linens are provided at no charge to our guests. A limited quantity of beach towels are also available for our guests’ use, as well! However, we do recommend bringing your own beach towels / beach blankets and beach chairs, or you may arrange to rent chairs from Island Essentials or Beach Butler.

We were a tad nervous coming down right after Hurricane Debby, but Doug was fantastic about communicating and responding to us. The property was just as expected from the listing and reviews. NO COMPLAINTS! Plenty of towels, kids sand toys, beach chairs, and the kitchen was well stocked! We were even notified in advance there was a problem with the washer, but a technician was scheduled to come check it out. The washer wasn’t going to be a quick fix, so the owner delivered a brand new one the next day! We would stay here again!

Nice clean home with plenty of amenities… plenty of kitchen dish ware, utensils, air fryer, grill, etc. lots of sand toys for kids, beach wagon and beach chairs. Pool and hot tub are well maintained and nice close walk to the beach.
Only things I’d note is the driveway is steep, just May be helpful to know, and seating. Home accommodates 10 but seating in kitchen was only for 5, so unless outside hard to all sit together.

My family of five had a wonderful visit. Easy walk to the beach - loved the pool and hot tub. Kitchen had everything we needed. House was VERY clean and well organized. I was expecting lounge chairs by the pool (as they were in the listing photos when I booked) but there were none - only disappointment. Enjoyed the provided beach toys and chairs, wagon was hard to pull due to rust but happy to not have had to bring our own. Would stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

Great property overall! The decks are perfect ! Especially the upper deck for morning coffee and ocean views! The outdoor space is superb ! The privacy fence helped reduce the wind and we were able to enjoy the pool daily !! And it’s only April ! The kitchen was well stocked to cover your needs. Love the decor as well ! The Island Son was everything we needed and more for our family Thanksgiving trip to Emerald Isle! Doug was very responsive and helpful when we encountered an issue with the pool during our stay (did I mention that the pool heater he installed allowed our kids to swim in November?!?) His pool guy was quick to resolve the issue, on Thanksgiving morning even!
We had everything you could possibly need to prepare a full thanksgiving meal in the kitchen; and everything was perfectly curated for a seamless and comfortable stay within walking distance to the beach! The crows nest was the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and take in the views of the sunrise and sunset! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay on the island! We will absolutely visit again soon!

We have come to Emerald Isle yearly for over ten years. This was our first time not staying in an oceanfront property and were unsure if it was going to be as enjoyable. It ABSOLUTELY EXCEEDED our expectations!! This house is beautiful and the owners have done an impeccable job decorating and accommodating their guests! We loved the pool, the hot tub, the rooftop deck, the game room, the beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms! We will absolutely stay here again and it was 100% worth not being directly on the ocean.

Location, location, location! This place has it with just a short walk to the beach. If you need a break from the beach, the pool and hot tub were amazing! We had lots of fun playing pool games and lounging. You simply can not beat the views from the top deck. Great place to relax at night and take in the sunset. We were very pleased with the cleanliness. The sheets smelled good! 😊
I would mention that the drive way and stairs are steep and could be an issue for those physically challenged. We handles it fine but it is something to be considered.

This place was perfect for our two small families. The kids loved the playroom and the adults enjoyed having our own separate area indoors. The outside areas are amazing and private. Besides the pool and hot tub, there are lots of cozy spots to relax in. Location is just a short walk away from beach and some local shops. Highly recommend this house!

Very beautiful and clean property. Comfortable and family friendly. The property had a lot to offer in terms of activities in the yard/on the porches, and allowed plenty of space for everybody. The widow's peak porch was gorgeous and the yard was very well kept. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. Family members enjoyed doing different activities in the yard while still being together. A few detractors: the ice maker produced ice at an extremely slow rate, so we had to purchase bags of ice. TVs were slow and did not always turn on. There was an abundance of "lawn shrimp" in the pool, having a pool vac available would have been nice. Lastly, the driveway to the property is EXTREMELY steep. Healing from a broken foot, I was unable to walk down the driveway. I did not know this when I reserved, however any parties traveling with handicapped family members should be advised. This would not be a suitable home to leave and walk to the beach without an alternative way down the drive. Overall, the residence was beautiful and my family had a very enjoyable time. We would definitely return to this property for our next stay.

My family of 6 adults and 2 children just finished our week vacation here. We had an excellent time and our host was the best answering questions and any concerns within minutes. We only had one issue with the grill one evening and by noon the next day our host was there with a brand new grill. The location to the beach was wonderful with easy access. The house was very clean and kitchen had all the daily items you would need. The private pool was perfect and the view of the ocean from the third floor was where we loved spending our evenings visiting. We enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend this rental.

The house is great, it was clean and had a beautiful pool and hot tub. The location allows for an easy walk to the beach and lots of other locations are within walking distance or a short drive.

If you're looking for a quiet, secluded, comfortable home that is just steps from the beach, Island Son awaits your booking! We enjoyed the fantastic outdoor space that has both sun and shaded areas and very nice landscaping. It was difficult to keep our Grandsons (7 & 5) out of the pool as the weather cooperated with 7 straight days of sunshine and warm temperatures. As a footnote, don't miss The Fish Hut for a fresh seafood dinner!!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home. Decor was on point and inside space was very comfortable. We loved the outside space most of all and enjoyed the pool, hot tub, multiple decks, and fire pit. We would definitely come back and rent this same home again.

Book it! House was clean, beautiful, and had all the amenities you could ask for! Location is perfect only a moments walk to the beach. Close to the pier, shopping, and restaurants as well.

This house is amazing, beautiful inside & out! Close to the beach as they stated. The only negative comment I had was all the climbing, house is on a steep hill, and you have a lot of steps inside & out, but if you’re young & in good shape you’ll do fine. The host Doug was a pleasure to deal with, and communicated promptly. We would definitely go back 😊

Oh wow this home is lovely. Has everything you need? Me and my family had a blast. It’s so close to the beach and even if it rains you can have fun right there in the backyard or indoors. They have a whole playroom. The whole start of everything they even had a little reading room for the smaller children. Definitely a good vacation spot gotta come back again.

Lovely immaculate home in a quiet neighborhood just a 5 minute walk from the beach. After hours on the clean uncrowded beach we came back to the beautiful house, cooked dinner, hung out in the pool and hot tub. The backyard is awesome just like the description says, covered area with couches were great for those wanting to get out of the sun. If you are looking for a place in Emerald Isle this is the one!❤️☀️🏖️😎

We loved our stay at Island Son! The house is a great location, close to the beach and close to shopping and restaurants. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We had two families staying and didn’t feel cramped at all. There was enough space for everyone. The decor is so nice and welcoming. We look forward to our next stay at this lovely home!

After selling my home in EI after 12 years, we found this ADORABLE HIDDEN GEM! It’s in the HEART of EI and you can walk to everything! The setting is quiet and so very peaceful! The pictures do not do the property justice… ITS PERFECT and so very unique! It was beyond perfect for our family! The owner was beyond amazing! Thanks for sharing your home with us Doug!

This home was perfect for our last minute vacation just to get away and enjoy some downtime. It is in a convenient location to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Other attractions such as the aquarium, Fort Macon and Beaufort are a short drive. The house is large enough to accommodate families comfortably and is beautifully decorated. The pool/spa area is well maintained, and we had fun playing in the game room.
The owner is very responsive. We will rent this home again!

We had a bucket list girls trip and this house made it possible. Everything was labeled which was very accomodating! Very clean! We enjoyed the hot tub and the roof deck. Doug was very communicative and helpful
