Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner.
Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.
Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.
If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.
Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.
Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.
Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.
Whatever your desire, whatever your need, the Grand Strand offers something on everyone's to-do list. We have a variety of restaurants, retail stores, miniature golf, entertainment venues, charter fishing, water sports... and, of course, nothing but relaxation.

We had a fantastic time. The house was perfect for our family. Everything was very clean and nice. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed as far as dishes and cookware. The area is very nice. Short walk to the beach. Highly recommend this property! Garden City Rental was very easy to work with and was always available to answer any questions I had during the reservation and rental process. I will definitely use them again.

Rental experience was good. House was very nice, however, I do think much further back than 3rd row. For this reason, I would not rent this house again.

The property, Beyond the Sea, was the perfect location. It was close to the beach and restaurants. The house allowed our big family to be together but provided everyone plenty of space. We loved all the indoor and outdoor areas to hang out, play games and eat together. We loved it!

In all it was a great reunion. Little things with the home but met our needs and the location was perfect, very close to the beach. Surfside was far better than Myrtle Beach, better atmosphere and much more friendly. Great restaurants and close to all needed amenities

We loved staying at Beyond the Sea with our family for our wedding. The house was just as listed, had enough room for all of us and was very clean and cozy. It was very close to the beach and we loved sitting outside on the patio furniture! We will definitely come here again!

Reviewer Comments:
The house was clean and ready for us. The drains upstairs were very slow in the showers, so you would end up standing in water. Other than that everything was great on our trip. I would say the parking limit for this house should be 4 as well. If we had brought more vehicles, I’m not sure where we would have put them.
