Nestled in the picturesque countryside, the traditional thatched Manor Cottage is a perfect retreat for those seeking a cosy and warm getaway. Accommodating up to six guests, you'll be captivated by its period styling exuding an air of timeless charm and enchantment.

Stepping inside, discover a warm and welcoming home from home designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. The cottage boasts a fully fitted kitchen and dining room. Here, you'll find all the modern amenities you need to prepare delicious meals. After dinner, retire to the lounge in front of the inglenook fireplace, with log burner, Smart TV and Wi-Fi included during your stay. At the end of the day, a ‘snug’ awaits filled with an assortment of captivating books and a chess set, perfect for a tranquil evening of unwinding and friendly competition.

Follow the traditional wooden cottage style stairs up to the first of the four bedrooms, including two single rooms and a welcoming master double - with large bathroom showcasing standalone roll top bath and his and hers sinks. The magnificent fourth bedroom, a double is located in the old hay-loft and accessed via the dining room, up an open tread traditional ladder-type stairway. Guests can also use a downstairs bathroom with large shower, basin, and WC.

The idyllic gardens surrounding the house include a comfortable seating area for outdoor dining, with BBQ, large firepit and spacious lawned private garden. Perfect for al-fresco dining or enjoying an evening glass of wine.

Located in the beautiful village of Winterbourne-Houghton in North Dorset, its an area of outstanding natural beauty, surrounded by woodland. Situated only five miles from the Georgian market town of Blandford Forum which offers a variety of local produce, crafts, clothing, and antiques. Further afield guests can explore the coastline, only 15 miles from Lulworth Cove and 20 miles from the harbour town of Poole. Explore the historic Poole Quay, take a boat trip to Brownsea Island, or enjoy the picturesque sandy beaches of Sandbanks.

Please be aware when booking that the cottage is traditional in style, with low beams, uneven and small steps that may not be suitable for small children or those with reduced mobility.
