About this cabin rental
This one-of-a-kind authentic log cabin is nearly one hundred years old. We refer to it as "Rustic Star". It is located on the edge of the Kaibab forest and is central to both Flagstaff and Williams. Our cabin is close to the forest, but also close to Interstate 40 for easy travel to all that Northern Arizona has to offer.
The picturesque home has a warm and rustic family room with gorgeous wood floors and exposed log walls. There is also a flatscreen television with cable and DVR.
The spacious kitchen takes on a vintage atmosphere while providing all of the modern conveniences. There is a large pantry area and a beautiful log table and chairs, in the kitchen itself. There is also a kitchen island with seating for two.
In addition to the kitchen, there is a sizable dining room with a second set of table and chairs. The dining room is also adorned with vintage appliances reminiscent of when the cabin was built.
There are three beautiful bedrooms. All are full of charm and character, yet designed to provide you with a good night's sleep. Two bedrooms have Queen beds and the 3rd has Queen over Queen bunk beds. There is also a second flat-screen TV with cable & DVR in one of the three bedrooms.
Please note the the door leading from the family room to the third bedroom was hand crafted from original wood from the cabins.
If you want to spend some time outside, feel free to sit our front and enjoy the day. There is also a fire ring where you can keep warm or roast marshmallows. You may also want to take a walk in the woods. Perhaps you will spot some wildlife.
The forest is surrounded by Ponderosa Pine trees. Arizona has the largest spread of this particular, highly desired tree in the U.S.
Looking east on a quiet evening, especially during a full moon, the Elk come in so close you can hear them pull the grass up. You may also hear the coyotes howling at night, in the far distance gathering up their pack.
Please note that there are five beautiful cabins on site that are different sizes. All are unique and beautiful. This provides the perfect opportunity to bring families and friends together for reunions or other events.
This is a No-Smoking property.
One pet is considered, however we asked that you keep "4 on the floor" as we say in our house. Pets are not allowed on furniture or bedding. Also, please pick up after them outside. We usually allow one small to medium size dog. No vicious breeds. No other pets are permitted without Manager approval. We do require a non-refundable pet fee of $50.
A Rental Contract is required to be signed after the reservation is confirmed.
No parties are permitted at this property.
Internet service is now available!
There is a minimum age requirement of 25 years old.

I thought looking at the pictures we would be away from people. Wrong. We had cabins all around us. A school across the street.
Couldn't use the fire pit because of the weeds. It took two days of cleaning to be usable. Multiple broken slabs on te patio to trip over. One bedroom had a bunkbed, no way is the top bed usable. Bed to ceiling about 2 feet. Just saying expectation wasn't met.sorry.

Great convenient location. Easy to do a loop to Sunset Crater/Wupatki to Grand Canyon to Williams and back to cabin. Also Bearazona. Kids loved it all. Spacious. Great cabin for families. If you like games, you’ll need to bring your own. Wasn’t bothered by train going by.

The wood walls, the breezes through the windows. Very comfortable beds!! Very nice kitchen area, Nice area, the 76 station/deli was fun. Great food down the road. It was a very nice time indeed.

Overall, we were pleased with the property. There were a few minor things, but nothing we couldn't deal with. The property could have used a little landscaping, but aside from that, we really enjoyed our stay. Host was very accommodating and responded to the few questions we had. Would definitely stay at this location again, over and over! The little store nearby was convenient and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful.

Clean property. Close to Flagstaff and Williams. Comfortable for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. Wifi was spotty and wish yard would have been completely fenced for the dogs. Cute little store in front of cabin. Wish it was more secluded but overall the stay was great

While it was a comfortable stay overall, the cabin was somewhat disappointing. The location was good as it’s just off the main highway and situated between Sedona and the Grand Canyon south entrance. This is an original log cabin with rooms added on over the years. The ceilings in the main area are low and there are not a lot of windows. The added on kitchen and bedroom are roomy with higher ceilings, but the rest of the rooms are small. There’s only 1 small bathroom. All of this is okay, but the cabin is also in some disrepair (doors don’t close properly, etc). And sadly the amenities and cleanliness could have been a lot better. For example there are plenty of bath towels but no hairdryer. There was no curtain at one bedroom window which looked directly into a neighboring building, lampshades were stained. The small bedrooms were crowded with fans and heaters which could have been stored. There was no welcome information in the cabin, so I had to keep referring back to the one email I received. There was also a lot of junk cluttering the exterior of the cabin….piled up flower pots etc.

Very quiet the cabin was supplied with plenty of linens and everything was clean. The kitchen had a lot of dishes and stuff in it that helped our stay because we cook at home we don’t go out to eat so it was a very good stay.

This cabin was in a wonderful location! We loved that we could eat right near the cabin, but were still less than an hour and a half from the Grand Canyon or Sedona! The cabin was very clean and well stocked. The bed we slept on was very comfortable. Check in was easy, and the owner communicated with us very well when needed. We would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend it to our friends and family as well!

My boyfriend and our fur baby stayed here for his birthday week for 5 days. It was everything I wanted to celebrate his special day and so much more. It was beautiful and peaceful and he loved how we were surrounded by nature. My fur baby loved it as well, he was excited to go on his daily walks and explore the grounds. It had everything we needed for an amazing time. We all loved this cabin.

Loved the cabin - if you are looking for a real "cabin experience" this is it. Conveniently located with restaurants and stores nearby plus the small grocery store is walking distance.
This would have been an easy five star if the wifi would have worked. I had to drive into Flagstaff to work because there was no wifi.
