Seaton Orangery is a stunning holiday cottage set in private grounds on the edge of the historic fishing village of Staithes, along the breathtakingly beautiful Yorkshire Coast.. 3 steps to entrance.

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Courtyard with sitting out area and garden furniture (shared with other properties on-site). Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. . This unique property has been lovingly restored from part of the ancient ruins of Seaton Hall and welcomes guests for stays starting in autumn 2024. Seaton Hall has a rich history, named after the de Seton dynasty who resided here from 1130 to 1307 and formed alliances through marriages with the Scottish Royal family. Passed down through generations, the hall eventually fell into disrepair, until the current owner acquired the estate in 2002 and began its restoration with the help of skilled masons and craftsmen.
The cottage itself is beautifully furnished, combining modern comfort with touches of antique charm. On the ground floor, the open-plan living area features a modern kitchen, a dining table, and a cozy seating area with three sofas around a smart TV. A feature fireplace with exposed patterned brickwork adds character to the space. Also on this floor is a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom that includes both a bath and a shower.
Upstairs, there are three more bedrooms: two family rooms, each with a double bed and a single bed, one of which has an en-suite shower room, and an additional single bedroom. With its blend of history, comfort, and scenic surroundings, Seaton Orangery promises an unforgettable stay.
Seaton Orangery is one of several cottages on the estate, arranged around a central courtyard where guests can sit out during warmer months. There is also an on-site café and an antique shop, adding to the charm of this historic setting. The surrounding area is perfect for those looking to explore the Yorkshire coastline, with walking trails such as the Cleveland Way leading across dramatic cliff tops.
Nearby, the picturesque coastal villages of Runswick Bay, Robin Hood’s Bay, and Staithes are waiting to be explored. Whitby, with its iconic Abbey ruins and historic seafaring charm, is a short drive away, offering cobbled streets, boat trips, and more. Saltburn, known for its Victorian pier and excellent surfing conditions, is also nearby, making Seaton Orangery an ideal base for adventure.
