A lovely apartment with everything you need
We had a lovely time staying at 17 Canons Lane. The apartment was in good condition and we had everything we needed. Contact with the owner was pleasant and easy. I would highly recommend staying here, it was one of the most relaxing places I've stayed in a while.

3 night family break
Comfotrable townhouse in Clifden town. Walkling distance to all the bars and restaurants in Clifden town. Great location to explore Connemara and fantastic value for money.

Great location
Great location, five minute walk into centre of Clifden which is a great town with nice shops and good quality bars and restaurants.
It let itself down slightly on cleanliness in that the blinds in the living area were a bit sticky to the touch and the top of the cooker hood was covered with grease.
On the whole I would recommend it.

Great stay
Brilliant stay. We had a great break in clifden and the accommodation was top class. Would definitely recommend this property

A lovely place
Lovely place, with a very nice layout, in a great location. Two small issues. Firstly downstairs initially smelt of dampness. This was sorted by putting on the heating and opening some windows. Secondly the amount and quality of the dishes and glasses etc wasn't great. For what we paid this shouldn't happen.
Other than that we would happily go there again.

Spotlessly clean, great location.
The house was spotless, which was very re-assuring during Covid. Great location, very close to the town centre but it still felt very peaceful and quiet. With greenery all around we felt like we were in the country but it was only a 2 minute walk to the main street. Could have done with more pots etc in the kitchen as we ended up cooking in more than we normally would, but otherwise it was perfect.

Perfect location in every way
Clifden is an ideal base from which to visit Connemara. Four of us spent a week there in Sept 2020 and the house was ideal for holidaying during COVID times. It was roomy and clean and our host (Mary) could not have been more helpful. There was a welcome pack with tea, coffee and milk which is always appreciate. We've given the house ***** and will recommend it to friends.

Great place for a family to stay in Connemara
Great house with convenient parking. Lovely people.
A great master suite and two more double bedrooms, plus a single bedroom. Well-appointed open plan kitchen, dining living room.
Very convenient for the centre of Clifden and the rest of Connemara beyond.

Lovely Apartment
Really enjoyable, only minus could do with more cooking utensils ie Pans, roasting dishes etc,and patio furniture that would cater for the size of the accommodation.I would have no problem returning.

90/100
Excellent location, at the edge of the town of Clifden. The house is split over 3 floors with a nice open plan day area. It is clean and tidy and has all the basic amenities including a washing machine and dryer which is great for families. The caretaker was most helpful.
The house is situated in a superb location for exploring Connemara which is a beautiful part of Ireland - some stunningly beautiful mountain ranges, beaches, inlets and small villages. The house is close (by car) to Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National park, Spiddal/Bearna area, and the islands. Clifden town itself has some lovely restaurants, shops and pubs.
Would definitely recommend this property to others: for a family or small group.
Areas for improvement - internet access and slight smell of damp in wardrobes.

Stress free!
The Suir Womyns Group from Tipperary descended here for the last weekend of the Arts Festival. The location was perfect, the house is brilliant for comfort, cleanliness and convenient for town. Couldn't fault it, we all had a great time and Mary couldn't have been more lovely. Thank you, see you next year!

Spacious comfortable unbeatable location
Lovely property. Very modern and comfortable. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Handy for everything. Literally the main street is 4 mins walk. Host is a lovely woman and very helpful. My only word of caution is that there is no wi fi. This did not bother me at all but my 3 kids were very frustrated especially if it's a wet day. So overall a top property but if your kids are of the age were wi fi is important be warned. (Or just don't bring them!)

Hard to find fault with this house
Stayed a week in clifden, Connemara is stunning and clifden a great base, Mary had provided all the home comforts....but no wifi and only local tv stations...not important to us. House well maintained just off towns Main Street, no open fire but still a warm house

Beautiful self catering house in Clifden.
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house. It is only a short walk to the town centre where there are great places to eat . Great pubs and shops too. Great base to tour Connemara.

Great Location
We rented No 17 as it was close to everything, you could walk to Clifden in 5 mins and had access to lots of wonderful things to do in the area, from cycling, golf, climbing the Diamond, to visiting Inisbofin.
We had a great holiday...even had good weather...

Spacious 3 tiered accommodation in excellent location
Our host was readily accessible both on arrival and departure and most pleasant. The house was spotless and roomy. I would warn people with small children that the two sets of stairs could be a problem- They were not for us as our 2 year old is adept at stairs. A real plus is the 4 bathrooms- 2 en suite, 3 with showers -but no soap so bring your own. The only negative thing I can think of is that the kitchen could be better stocked. There was only one very small frying pan and not quite enough glasses and knives forks and spoons for 7 people. And oh yes we couldn't find a mop! The location was perfect and the view of the church lovely. - 2 minute walk to town and amenities. I had failed to read the fine print about deposit and heating charge so just be aware of these. The charge was nominal so not a problem. There is plenty of parking space and the access to roads in any direction is right around the corner. Highly recommend.

17 Cannons Lans, Clifden
The house was nice but was very cold when we arrived. It took a while to warm up and could have been heated prior to our arrival.
We were disappointed that we were charged extra for electricity and oil when we had already paid €338 for our 2 night stay. The lady told us that we used 14 units of electricity for which she charged us an additional €15. ( a bit excessive when energy providers only charge 18 cent per unit.) She also charged us €10 for use of oil when she had no way of metering it and we had only used the heating for about an hour in total over the weekend.
It's a nice property in s good location but would not be in a position to recommend it unless the owner changes her hidden extras policy.
