Food for the soul. Beautiful and tranquil surroundings.

Absolutely beautiful view of the sun rising over the dam from our balcony. Fabulous hot shower in the outdoor shower in the middle of winter! The food and service at the hotel restaurant was superb as always. It was wonderful to come back to the room to find the fire made and electric blankets switched on.

The furnishings are a little worn in places and need a refurb but otherwise beautiful rooms

The room was beautiful - the general venue and surrounds are beautiful! I loved the interiors, the views, the fire places. The food was exquisite and the service excellent!!

It was a very cold weekend when we visited and the wooden doors don't seal properly - despite the fire place in our room, it was very cold.

A Weekend at Walkerson where we were treated very special and will remember it for years to come!

The staff were the friendliest people - all of them. Even the gardeners. Our bookings and preferences were handled with attention to detail. Thats why we love SA! People who know that friendliness will cover lots of things that can be tough! Breakfast was superb and having it on the verandah with the most beautiful view, was extra special! Dinner had the extra touch of sophistication with n palate cleanser in between courses. The menu also gave everyone a choice that was a treat. Overall was the classic setting with fireplaces lit , a fantastic choice to feel at home because we as a family celebrated a big birthday in our family. Walkersons felt like a very special home in a special setting. The Spa was a absolute hit and even the horse riding for the kids added the extra smile on the younger faces.

The above Messed our stay

They must stick on the price they advertise in booking.com. They should advertise a special and when you get there they tell you that the special is only for one person. Interestingly I had booked two weeks before and they charged a flat rate of R3000 for two people. They are just taking chances now. False Marketing.

i was Charged taxes which was incorrect as when I secured the book included rates and taxes. i believed I was incorrectly billed. it made using booking.com more expensive than booking directly or using other platforms

Overnight on the way to the Kruger great, dont thinl I could stay longer than 2 nights

Dinner was lovely, food ample and the wine list good. Ambience was good and the staff attentive, but not overbearing. Took note of our likes and allergies.

THE VENUE, LOVELY BOUTIQUE HOTEL. CLEAN ROOMSO

SERVICE. I HAD BOOKED SPA TREATMENTS PER BOOKING.COM EMAIL AND WAS TOLD ON ARRIVAL THAT IT WAS A BOOKING.COM PROBLEM NOT THE HOTEL SINCE THE SPA WAS FULLY BOOKED. DINNER ON SATURDAY WAS AN UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. HAD TO REMIND THREE PEOPLE THAT WE WERE WAITING FOR OUR MAIN COURSE, WHICH ARRIVED 35 MINUTES LATER. BOOKING.COM SHOULD LIAISE WITH PROPERTY TO MAKE SEAMLESS BOOKING FOR CLIENTS. CHECK OUT PERSON DID NOT BOTHER TO ASK ABOUT OUR STAY.
