About this apartment rental
A unique space made in 1881, completely rebuilt in 2016, awarded 5-star category by the Ministry or Tourism of Croatia, and published in several design magazines, GARDIN Apartments Split is the best place to discover the city!
Just steps from the Golden gate of the Roman Palace, everything the city has to offer is within walking distance.
Lost of space, 4 meters high ceilings and beautiful views of the building's private garden, all part of the plan :)
All spaces are air conditioned/heated and free Wi-fi and TV-Sat is available. The kitchen is fully equipped and there's also a washing machine. It has two bedrooms with double beds, and one sofa bed in the living room, for a total of 4 guests.
The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and offers extra privacy in regard the rest of the apartment, since it has its own entrance from the hallway.
The flat doesn't have its own parking, since its in the very city center, but there is a payed parking lot just about 20 meters from the flat.

This is a great place to stay and explore split. You are just a 5 min walk away from the city center, so you are not bothered by the crowds, but close enough to experience the city.
Super nice and clean apartment with well equipped kitchen and very nice interior design.

Amazing property that is close to the palace and the sea. Perfect in every way. More spacious than the pictures. We all Loved it.

Lovely living space away from the fast pace of the City Center. Lada was very good at answering questions and at accommodating our requests.
The accommodations were very modern which I like and was super clean which is important to us as well. It was nice to have a washing machine. We used the provided drying rack to dry our clothes. The AC was nice to come back to since the temps were into the 90's.
I would definitely recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a place to stay in Split. You will not be disappointed.

“This was the perfect location for a Split stay. It’s steps away from Diocletian’s Palace, so you can wake up, walk out, and stroll through the shops and sights along the way. It’s also a close walking distance to tour pick up spots if you’re venturing out to the islands and/or the national parks.
Check-in and check out was a breeze. Lada was flexible and let us in early when there was a change in travel plans and she offered to store our luggage for part of the day.
The apartment itself is lovely. It has high ceilings, two full bathrooms, and every amenity you would need. It had a kitchen full of equipment and a washer, which was helpful for a long trip.
I’d highly recommend this VRBO for anyone looking for a stay in Split!”

We couldn’t have been happier, we absolutely loved our stay. The apartment is beautiful and spacious. The host is extremely helpful and responsive. I would recommend this apartment to anyone coming to Split. It’s in the perfect location and with two little ones made exploring easy as we were so close to everything. We absolutely loved it and will be back. Thank you!

Great host, very responsive and helpful in many ways. Excellent accommodations that are clean, quiet, roomy, stylish and comfortable. Absolutely perfect location with short walks to everything Split has to offer. Its so convenient you can come "home" and easily take quick breaks or refreshers in comfort before heading back out to enjoy more!

We had a wonderful three days in Split. We found street parking easily, our hostess helped us check in right on time, and the place was perfectly appointed with everything we needed. She quickly answered the few questions we had and recommended great restaurants for us. Our kids loved the small park next door and it was such an easy walk to pretty much every location we wanted to see. We'd absolutely come back to this cozy flat!

This is the perfect home base to explore the old town of Split. The apartment is beautiful and so well equipped. The location is right at the gates of Diocletian’s Palace. And the whole process of booking and arriving was so smooth and easy. This is definitely a highly recommend!!!

Beautiful apartment close to town
We had a great time staying at this beautiful apartment in Split. Just minutes on foot to Diocletian's Palace, the Green & Fish Markets, ferries - basically anywhere you'd want to be in Split. The minute we entered the apt, all the noise of the streets just disappeared. The space is very comfortable, and the outdoor bbq made it feel even more like home. Would definitely stay here again!

Only place to stay in Split
We've been doing an extended trip to Europe, with my bf's mom joining us for the ride while we still dial in to US working hours. This unit was absolutely perfect for what we needed.
The location is fantastic - close enough to walk to so many sights, but quiet enough to not be disrupted when working late into the night. Perfectly safe enough for my bf's mom to explore by herself while we started our workday in the afternoon.
The apartment itself was spacious, and dining table large enough for 3 of us to eat at one end and have a full laptop setup for 2 of us on the other end, without having to rearrange during mealtimes or risk crumbs on keyboards. Kitchen was well equipped for homecooked meals in between all of the bakeries the neighborhood has to offer.
Lada could not have been more gracious or responsive to our questions! Could not recommend this place more when traveling to Split

Great location for visiting Split!
I’ve already recommended this apartment to friends who will be visiting Split in October. It’s beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. It’s a two minute walk to the Palace, but very quiet and peaceful once you return. Great bathrooms, comfortable beds, and having a washing machine was very helpful. Lada was very helpful as well.

We stayed for 6 nights in this cute apartment just 5 minute walk to the old Roman castle by the sea. For 2 couples, this place was roomy enough to allow some privacy. We loved having the washing machine since this was week 3 of our European adventure. We cooked breakfast in as the kitchen was fully adequate for home cooked meals. Lada, the concierge, met us at check-in and was available throughout our stay to give advice and recommendations for restaurants and activities. We thought the garden area outside would be more inviting for outdoor enjoyment, but they had recently cut down 2 large palms and the garden really needs some attention. We had a great rental transaction with this property. It all went off without a hitch. We would highly recommend this to our friends.

Great Location, Disappointing Apartment
The apartment worked for us but we probably wouldn't stay there again. When we arrived and were able to check in, Lada (a very nice woman) met us at the apartment to give us the keys. The listing doesn't indicate this, but building has numerous other permanent residents and we were disappointed to see dog poop in the front courtyard and various large laundry lines. The listing also indicates there is parking access but it was impossible to find street parking anywhere remotely close to the apartment. We had to park many blocks away whenever we used the car, so having a car is not a good idea. Without a car, no problem. More importantly, the "unit" actually consists of two separate apartments. The kitchen and main living room and one bedroom are separate (with its own locking door from the outer hallway) from the other bedroom and bathroom, so one couple did not have access to the kitchen and living area without having to knock on the door and disturb the other couple to open the door to let us in to the main apartment area. There was little extra toilet paper and the rug in the bedroom was quite dirty. Excellent shower and bathroom facilities. Beds were comfortable. Lada was a very friendly but spent little time explaining how things in the apartment (washing machine, dish washer, AC controls, etc) worked. She basically gave us the keys, asked if we had any questions, and left the rest up to us. There is no clothes dryer. The door knob on the second apartment came loose when we initially closed the door. Overall, we were not impressed with the apartment(s) however the location is quite excellent as it is literally steps to the Old Town area. In addition, Marko, the owner, was very responsive and friendly in setting up the booking.

Wonderful apartment
We had a great time in Split at the apartment! It was very comfortable and well decorated. It was very close to restaurants and we loved walking and exploring the city using the flat as our home base.

Great little gem!
We loved our stay here. The location is terrific with the Golden Gate literally 2 minutes away. The place is really well designed, maintained (with well functioning AC!) and clean. Marko and Lada were VERY responsive before and during our stay. The only slight comment is that the outdoor space isn't something you would want to spent time in. Then again, we were busy in the Old Town most of the time anyways. We would stay here again if in Split.

Beautiful apartment, attentive courteous owner - everything we wanted !
It was stunning. Well equipped and elegant.

beautiful and well located
We were a bit concerned upon drive up- but the flat was impeccable. I want the decorators to come to my home! Very nice linens as well. My only comment on linens is that I found Europeans don't have washcloths - this was consistent at all properties - maybe have a few for your American travelers? Loved!!! the collection of classical music. The property was very well located for shopping and the promenade. Lada the property manager was also very kind and helpful. The property owner was always quick to return my emails.

Great location - lovely surroundings
We had a great stay.. beds comfy, nice decor. We were able to drop in during the day while exploring the old town to have a bit of downtime. Parking is a bit complicated to drive to and from - easy to walk to. 2 1/2 days was 440 kuna. A step stool would be handy as cupboards very high. Light outside door didn't work but advised managers so hopefully will be fixed for next guest.

Awesome
The property was beautiful - as advertised and our host, Lada was wonderful. The place is walking distance from all the sights, amenities and restaurants that you would want to experience in Split. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Beautiful, perfectly located, clean space
The space was as described and represented on the website. It is a stunning space that is very clean, clearly well cared for and appointed with all of the necessities. It has been recently renovated and every room is practical, yet very elegant. The bathrooms are lovely too with towel warmers and wonderful showers with great water pressure. It is in a great location, just outside of the pedestrian only old part of town. We were able to walk everywhere with no problem at all. There is a small market very close by with a few grocery items where we stopped to buy wine and cheese a few times. My friend and I stayed here, so we each had a bedroom and bathroom, which is what we wanted. This apartment rental is not inexpensive, but worth the money!! Lada, the lovely woman who met us at the apartment was knowledgeable, gracious, and kind and provided us with the perfect restaurant recommendations. We felt cared for and very safe during our stay, even though the space is on the ground floor, it is very secure. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a luxurious space for a reasonable price in a perfect location in Split!

Exquisite
This property is stunning. Definitely the most beautiful property we stayed at in Croatia. Above all, the location was perfect. You're literally a 2 minute walk from Diocletian's Palace and all the major attractions. Marko was fantastic and super responsive, and gave some really great recommendations of where to eat (all of which were a foodie's paradise). The interior is decorated so beautifully, and the bed was really cozy. The property was also impeccably clean when we arrived. If I ever find myself in Split again, I will be sure to see if this property is still available for rent.

Fantastic property, beautifully decorated and convenient location!
This property is just 2 blocks-ish from one of the main gates into the old city and there is a small grocery store one block away. The apartment has stunning details that have preserved the old character and Marko has decorated it with a wonderful mash-up of hollywood glam and rustic touches. The bedding was very comfortable and the kitchen well supplied. There is a small courtyard that is perfect for an afternoon snack of local cheese, bread and wine, too! Marko was extremely helpful - he even made the single bedroom suite available a day early for us due to a change in flight plans for one of our party and then went out of his way to get the rest of the apartment ready very early the next morning so that we could enjoy it sooner rather then later. He spent time showing us where to find several grocery stores and recommending a few restaurants. We took advantage of all his suggestions and were very pleased! I highly recommend Marko's apartment for your stay in Split!
