The hotel was very continental. The staff was more than accommodating. The continental breakfast was outstanding.

Very stylish decor and artwork in an awesome location. Personal service was terrific. It’s the best of Charleston!

Proximity to other things; the lobby area was great and the staff were always available. Revival was excellent and I liked the coffee in the morning and champagne in the evening in the lobby.
The traditional side needs some serious upgrades to those rooms, there were leaks in the original room we had when we checked in, and I do wish the stairway area was a little more spruced up if you opt out of using the elevators.
4.5
Room was very spacious.
I am in a wheelchair and the staff was very helpful in preparing ramps for ingress and egress to the hotel. I highly recommend for disabled persons

staff were so attentive. I was amazed at the service. The valet parking was an extra and good experience. The food at the restaurant on the roof top was excellent and a fair price. The art exhibitions were amazing. The bed was incredible.
Nothing, everything was perfect. No complaints.

I loved the ambiance of the whole place and everyone that worked there was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the restaurant as well.

The location was unbelievable. Right in the heart of the historic District of Charleston. An amazing art exhibit. The staff was very accommodating. Our first room was an interior room with no window. We realized it was a bit claustrophobic and requested a change of room. They were extremely accommodating and immediately change this to a beautiful, sweet with tall windows. I would highly recommend the hotel as a unique experience. If we were ever in Charleston again, we would not hesitate to stay there again.

I love The Vendue!!! I had the king room with the skylight. I ate lunch on the Rooftop. Both food and view were wonderful. The bed was so cozy!
I had a little trouble with the shower. But could have been operator (me) error.

Room and design
No breakfast. No real front desk.

The staff were great. They were professional, friendly, helpful, and genuine. The hotel is in a prime location in the city. The roof top bar allows for great views and the adjoining restaurant is one of the best in town for service and food. It is billed as an art hotel and it does provide a lively boutique feel throughout.
Room was smaller than I would like and the mattress was not overly comfortable.
4.5
Life safety not up to standards. Sprinkler heads painted, and the door to our room did not close and latch automatically as required by the fire code.
4.5
Fantastic location, central to landmarks, waterfront, and many restaurants and bars. Beautiful and fun Art Deco.

room was very bad for price.

The room was spacious and elegant. The decor is absolutely gorgeous and consistently excellent throughout the hotel. The continental breakfast every morning was very nice but way too much food for us.
We loved the Rooftop Bar but wished it could stay open just a little later for night owls,

Great location, breakfast good, .
A front room would have been better.

The staff went out of their way to insure comfort and a fun stay and the location was wonderful for walking to sights, shopping and restaurants. The Vendue’s rooftop is the best I’ve experienced with various levels and views. The afternoon drinks and evening cookies were a lovely touch.
I didn’t like the piped in music - not my taste.

Great old hotel from 1700's. Updated and beautiful! Great location! Easy walk to the Market and tons of restaurants and shops. Loved the wine in the evening. Great Rooftop bar. The staff all were super friendly and helpful.
Can't think of one thing.

Location is excellent! Lovely hotel and our 4th time here.
We ate Christmas Eve dinner at the Revival and it was excellent! Seriously, the best prime rib I have ever eaten in my life! Everything was wonderful. Great service everywhere !
Honestly, the hotel is one of my favorites and continues to be. But, I was very surprised by the change in the lobby decor. Before it was artsy, but classy, great lighting and loved the bar and the old restaurant as no longer is there brunch on the weekends. The new lobby looks very chic in a South Beach sort of way with bright lights and everything red and white. I hope you keep the traditional rooms across the street as they are more Charleston !

Beautiful Hotel, Enjoyed the art tour, and the location was perfect! Most of the places we wanted to visit were walking distance. My daughter and I went on a girls trip.
Food at the rooftop bar, we thought we would get cookies and milk at turndown like it said on advertisement. We did not. Also the electricity went out on our first night, I know that is not something they can control, it was scary.
4.5
Great location and best rooftop bar.
The room had a musty odor
