This is not a hotel. It’s a restaurant with some over priced, noisy rooms on the side.

Clean, good location, free valet parking

Very very noisy rooms. We specifically requested a room not on the ground floor and not adjacent to the restaurant which is exactly what they gave us despite agreeing in advance not to. Impossible to sleep in the room due to noise. No compensation/compromise provided. No air conditioning. Front desk staff generally rude and unwelcoming. Zero hotel facilities. Lost original restaurant reservation. Impossible to recommend anyone to stay here.

The hotel far exceeded our expectations with a staff that was friendly and enhanced our stay.

The property is quaint—old world charm and beautiful furnishings. The location is fantastic, and we spent our days walking through Carmel and exploring the many shops and restaurants. Room service breakfast was a treat every morning.

We loved everything about our stay, although I might be concerned about staying in the summer because the hotel does not have air conditioning.

Won’t be coming back. Would be overpriced at half of what they are charging.

Breakfast suppose to be included. I turned in my breakfast request slip directly to the front desk attendant the day before. Requested prompt delivery at 7:30 am as I had to be somewhere. Breakfast never showed up. They told me they never received my order. No offer to make up for it. No apology.

The room furnishings are dated and cheap looking. It’s as if they furnished from Goodwill. At over $800 a night I expected better. Bed was comfy. Thats about it.

the quaint, European aesthetic, the professional, friendly, & accommodating staff, the attention to detail, the perfect location.

Lack of A/C in rooms, though the weather was near-perfect. A hotel should always air conditioning.

Paper thin walls, meaning you hear all the plumbing and conversations from other guest rooms.

Old world charm and style, new world hospitality and comfort.

I loved the atmosphere and the spirit of the place. Utter dedication to the comfort and pampering of their guests: complementary snacks in room, endless clean towels, fine bed linens, friendly and helpful staff, privacy, valet parking, fresh flowers in our room, a note to wish us happy anniversary...I could go on...and no extra charges for any of the above.

There was a bit of noise in our room from other guests enjoying the courtyard, but this was over by the time we went to bed, and I am only mentioning it for the sake of filling this box.

Details make the difference from excellent to exceptional

Every detail made the stay exceptional; breakfast included was above average, turndown service, all the friendly staff and location was perfect.

I couldn’t find any cons to staying here.

staff were great and punctual with breakfast.

the room was a little noisy could hear machinery running all night double pane windows would probably be enough to silence that.to many stairs
