Everything was perfect, especially the front desk staff and the wine tasting during happy hour.

Beautiful and charming rooms, fantastic breakfast, quiet yet easy access to shops and downtown restaurants
A bit hard to park

Staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious, and the room was very nice. Its located right in the heart of Carmel.
One thing I did not like was the very limited parking,
Other than that, it was great

Staff, clean, parking and great location!

The location. Clean comfortable room. Jetted tub and fireplace
Mattress was way too soft so didnt sleep well. No communal space outside to sit by a fire, no deck or place to sit outside.

Beautiful, clean, spacious room. Loved the breakfast and the wine and appetizers. The wine was of high quality, appetizers were varied, fresh, and plentiful. the breakfast out of this works delicious. by far, the best food offered at any inn we have stayed at. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Location was great, staff were really helpful and accommodating. The room was fabulous especially the vaulted ceiling and fireplace. Evening wine and hors douvres (free) we’re a lovely touch too.
Freezing cold bathroom

We loved everything. The room, the service, the breakfast!

Breakfast was delivered to our room each morning and was quite good. Perhaps would have liked a few more choices

Clean nicely decorated room.

For the price I expected a super comfy bed. It was a bit sunk in due to over used as this site is popular

Breakfast was good but we were there five days and the only hot meal was two varieties of Quiche so was quite boring. For $575 per night room and bathroom were dated. Dining chairs had seen better days. We have stayed in many high end properties and believe this is not worth the money.

As other reviewers have said, the location is exceptional, if a bit difficult to find on its street because other similar buildings are all squeezed together. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. There is no valet, luggage carts, or elevator in this 2-story property, but staff can provide some help with luggage if needed. The office is staffed 8am-10pm, but emergency staff contact numbers are provided. The included breakfast is EXCEPTIONAL! And DELIVERED TO YOUR ROOM! The choice of 2 hot quiches are from an notable bakery, as are the croissants and, bagels, and muffins. There is cold cereal, and choice of beverages. You are presented with a menu each day and you select the items you want and the quantity (within reason) of each that you desire. I guess that you could order every item on the menu, but you may get a dirty look from staff. The beds are extremely comfortable and include a thick feather topper. Staff will remove the topper upon request. We can't recommend this place more highly. What a wonderful surprise!
Limited, free on-site parking is available, but all but a few spaces are underneath the 2nd floor rooms and they are very small. A few outdoor spaces are available, but tight. Getting out of the spaces requires several forward-and-back moves, and navigating a unbelievably narrow and tight bend by the office. There is limited on-street parking in front of the inn.

I loved the premier rooms with the loft ceilings. the breakfast was the absolute best of any inn we’ve been to, worldwide. the fresh-baked quiche was to die for.
the stairs, the price for one extra night which increased to 689 for a Saturday night

The breakfast and afternoon cheese plate were both excellent.

cosy inn with spacious rooms / generous breakfasts
it didn’t have much to offer except our rooms! property looks dated from the exterior - could do with some brightening up.
also it would be nice to have a different breakfast option some days - by day 3 we got tired of the same breakfast quiche n yogurt and evening charcuterie plate ( however delicious it was)
also our mattress seemed old- it sloped from the centre outward which made it rather awkward to sleep on

This is an exceptional place. Stunning, spacious room with a huge bed that felt like we were sleeping on clouds! The fireplace also made the room super cosy. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and all of the included extras (treat basket, drinks in fridge, cheese & wine platter) made it extra special. The breakfast was also amazing! We were only passing through the area so only stayed for one night, but we’d have loved to stay longer! Would love to return.

wine and cheese in the evening and superb breakfast delivered to room every morning. it was very relaxing
4.7
Impressive afternoon charcuterie board w wine and a delicious breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. Loved the gas fireplace, birds chirping in the morning, and short walk into town for dinner.
Bath tub was a bit perilously deep to enter and exit whether taking a bath or shower. Also a removable shower head would add flexibility instead of the stationary rain head which dribbled a lot of water when filling the tub for a bath. The desk chair was evidently broken. But none of these observations were deal breakers.
