It was beautiful, fun, clean and we really enjoyed our room. Exploring the ship was great fun!
The tours were excellent and the tour guides were fun and knowledgeable.
The Chelsea Chowder-house was amazing, food and service!
The staff. No one was rude (well one young man) but very few were overly friendly and helpful. Most were generally disinterested. We were given bad information about several things we inquired about and for the price of the stay and the location we expected service that was more polished and a better trained staff. When we last stayed on the QM it was exactly what we imagined service to be like in her heyday. Now, not so much.
In three days I could never get a hot cup of coffee anyplace we went. Lukewarm and when I asked about heating it in a microwave I was told there were none on the ship? I understand trying to maintain the historical atmosphere but really?
The phone to contact the staff worked twice during the entire stay. The rest of the time, no dial tone to be had. No lid on the toilet and the shelf for toiletries right over the bowl where things could fall into the toilet.
No grab bar in the shower and no stopper in the sink or shower. I wondered how many times engineers had to come open pipes to pull rings out of the drain!
No working interior elevators. We were told they should be fixed but not until next week. That’s a long time in a place as grand as this to have all the interior elevators out of service.

Front desk staff was great.
Room was clean
Noisy. So incredibly noisy. You can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing. Bathrooms above and below you can hear too so there is always a toliet flushing somewhere. Hallways are echo chambers. Impossible to sleep. Cools ship to visit and tour but not to stay.

Me and my daughter seriously loved everything about the experience! Yes, I’m pretty sure the ship is haunted as they say lol!! I suggest staying in one of the rooms with a view of the water. We had such a great time and the staff members were all awesome and super friendly please remember you are on a century old ship expect things to be a little different than a Marriott! I overheard a few older couples clearly not living the beauty and the adventure and beauty of this art deco style ship. They literally were beyond annoyed by the fact that the breakfast was not served à la cart. Still this ship is a true marvel! Breakfast was also amazing!. Either way the experience was awesome. You have got to go for a stay!! You have got to go have this experience!
We loved everything!

This is a living museum, and it's well worth paying to stay on board! The ship allows guests to access so much of the ship. We spent hours exploring! The mid-ship marketplace is great, and we had a fine dinner at The Promenade Cafe. The rooms aren't like many expect rooms to be today for the price one pays to stay on board. The bed sagged a bit, and a lot of caulk is used around tubs, etc. for repair. That's ok. They are clean, basic. You're paying for the experience, and to maintain an important maritime museum.

room was fantastic, if anything the room was too nice as you want to spend time in the room to enjoy it but there is also a lot of ship to explore and admire, you almost need more than one night to take it all in and give it the time it deserves.
Not a didn't like more of a 'it would have been nice'. The tours around the ship are open to the public which is great but it would be nice if out of the multiple tours that say a couple were included if you were a resident of the ship sure not all of them but say two. Also there isn't a resident only lounge and out of all the beautiful rooms again it would have been nice if one was for people staying on the ship only. That also may encourage more people to book a stay rather than just day trip to the ship.

It was my wife's bday trip and she had never been to the QM. When we arrived actually almost 3 hours prior to check in it was a pleasant surprise to have our room M009 (King Deluxe Harbor Side) ready to occupy. I absolutely recommend getting a harbor side room as the view of LB is stunning. The staff throughout our stay were absolutely wonderful and helpful. Our room was gorgeous and though on the smaller side it was very clean and comfortable and I am a history buff so the original fixtures in the room and ship were perfect for this trip. There are several choices of restaurants and little shops on board including a Starbucks which is convenient. We dined at the Promenade Cafe and the food was absolutely outstanding and the price was reasonable. We decided to take part in the 2 hour ghost tour and it was rather enjoyable and gave you access to areas of the ship unaccessible otherwise. Well worth the price since you're already there you might as well take in as much as possible. So the stories of the ship being haunted may be true. Neither of us are big on the paranormal but we did have a couple very strange occurrences in our room which kind of added to our trip.
Not much really but if I was to point something out it would be the shape of the bottom of the bathtub which made showering a little tougher. The only other concern I had was some obviously intoxicated people walking around the corridor around 1 in the morning but I can't really blame the hotel just those who act like that.

They upgraded our room for our Anniversary,
That was a nice gesture
We didn't enjoy our room or night at all, the ppl in the room next to us screamed and partied all hours, we were leaving the next day for a long 9 hour drive, but we left at 3 am cause of the neighbors.

History
Got there around 4:30PM. Rooms weren’t ready even though we booked & paid a month earlier
Restaurant reservation system went down and we were told to leave hotel and seek dinner elsewhere.
Uber struggled to find our location so I went back in and asked for hotel manager as restaurant was relatively empty. Manager would not come out to see me however said system was up and we could dine. I asked if front desk could secure us seats as the kids were now starving with time that had past. The staff looked told me to go to restaurant and I told them that their had been no hostess to help the first time. She was annoyed to ensure we could get a table. The ship itself was a glorious historical specimen but needed a lot of work. Definitely should have been much less expense for the experience.

Location to Carnival Terminal. Staff was totally friendly and accommodating. Porters especially fit the above.
Not having a drop-off at entrance to
hotel because of Halloween event. Had
to ask security to contact hotel to get a
Queen Mary employee to pick up an arriving
disabled guest at remote drop-off location.
Also, it seems that the hotel should have
a special route to get guests to Carnival
Terminal without having to burden porters
to drive the guests all the way around to
Carnivals main entrance. At a previous
stay, I was able to have a porter wheel my luggage directly to Carnival's baggage
drop-off which was super convenient. Try
to not let the events affect the many guests who use your wonderful facility as their
before and after cruise stays. Also, a major benefit for your Carnival Cruise guests
would be to have a time for them to drop
off luggage in hotel lobby to be all taken at one time to Carnival baggage drop-off by a driver. Give your guests more reasons to want to stay at the Queen Mary rather
than the many other Long Beach hotels/motels. Use your location next to the Carnival Terminal to your advantage and thank me later! John Sarginson.

The boat itself is amazing and fun to tour and explore
The room was bad. Not clean, not comfortable. The shower had hairs from previous guests. So dusty it seems like no one had cleaned it in ages. The closet had 1 single hanger, no platforms for suitcases. Nowhere to put your clothes-we had to put our suitcases on the ground and just dig through them for clothes. The room was so sparse it felt like staying in a hostel. The room does NOT have its own AC, so the listing is wrong. They provided us a fan because it was so hot, and it was extremely old and dusty. Not impressed by the accommodations. Go and tour the ship but sleep somewhere else, especially for $220.

I decided to stay on the Queen Mary because of the ship's history. It definitely did not disappoint me. As soon as you step on board, you are transported back in time. Beautiful art deco interior, full of places and decks to explore. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The original and preserved elements of the rooms' furnishings, the old elevators and other hidden vintage gems were very appealing to me as a history lover. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
I recommend making online reservations in advance for both dinner and breakfast. We didn't have a reservation for breakfast and the waiting time was too long for us - we had to go to the airport.

Room was huge! Was two rooms recreated into one double suite. One King bed, and two twins in a separate room. Awesome. No ghosts this trip, though.
Hopefully they get a stay and park option.

The hotel needs to be updated. Access to entry was blocked which resulted in excessive walking with loaves on broken road! Employees not helpful had to check in twice. Do not understand why! Need more training!

Fantastic opportunity to experience life aboard one of the great ocean liners of the last century. An added bonus is the former Soviet submarine that is alongside the Queen Mary. You can't go on board, but it is interesting to look at.
Everything was fine.

When I requested my room change, I was accommodated immediately. The bed was comfortable
The first room I was given was an ADA room, but far, far away from entrance and elevators. The air was stagnant and affected my breathing and I was getting a sharp pain in my right lung that lasted the whole night until the next day. Fresh air cleared it out and I felt better the rest of the day.
