Airport shuttle service unreliable but room was nice enough for price

Our flight was cancelled and rebooked for the evening of the following day. When we finally reached the hotel at 9:30pm, our check in lady allowed us to have a late check out for 2pm so we didn’t have to spend extra time in the airport again. The staff was friendly!

We booked this hotel due to location, price, and advertising for a free airport shuttle. After waiting for the shuttle at the airport for 30 minutes after booking the room, I called the hotel and found out the shuttle stopped running at 8pm. The following day when checking out of the hotel at 1:30 they said the next shuttle wouldn’t run until 3pm. We had to book Lyft for transportation to/from hotel. If I had known about the shuttle times, I would’ve booked with a different hotel that had longer hours for the shuttle service.

Sucked and won’t live again

Just the location was quite convenient

They don’t have hot water ti bathe. No plates, cutlery infact there’s no staff to help if you call them from the room landline.

Terrible absolutely horrible

Staff was very rude and not knowledgeable! Also I was over charged for my stay. On the day of check out I asked for a late check out and I was assured that it was fine then 20 minutes later out of nowhere The police was called to remove me from the premises! I was appalled and totally caught of guard. The temperature outside was freezing and I had my 1 year old grandson and my 3 week old granddaughter with me as well! I love the Marriott Brand but there has been to many issues time and time again! I spend an absurd amount of money using Booking.com , Priceline and Expedia to continue to be treated in such a manner. I Thank you in advance for taking the time to listen to my concerns!

It was good, not great.

There was no “free” breakfast, so that’s kind of weak in this market. I saw what was offered and walked out.

I can’t believe a hotel has shared doors between rooms anymore? Mine was kind of ajar, and made me feel weird?

Worst hotel ever.

The hotel was run-down and the pictures of the property do not reflect what the property actually looks like. The restaurant is not open for service and only available for breakfast. As per the front desk concierge the pool and sauna have been closed since Covid and not available for use. The room was dated and smell like cigarettes. The toilet was broken and I called the front desk to have it repaired. The maintenance guy told me the valve inside the toilet was broken and it needed to be replaced at a later time. I called the front desk and spoke to the property manager regarding my issues and he had a bad attitude and was rude and very condescending. Slept to the sounds of a broken water valve coming from the toilet. A very eye opening experience. Don't stay here unless you have to.

I truly enjoyed my stay.

I liked the staff. They were wonderful. They were friendly, helpful just wonderful . The room was clean plenty of towels, and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

I liked everything. I have no complaints at all.

Not good.

Nothing

No hot water in original room, toilet didn’t flush, had to move rooms at 9:30 at night and the new room the door was jammed couldn’t shut it. Also, you pay enough money for the hotel and still have to pay for parking. Manager just blew off how crappy our stay was. All he said he could do is take off the parking fee… no reimbursement for any inconvenience.

The room was disappointing, especially at the price, but it worked fine for a travel delay stay.

Check in was fast and easy. The staff was focused on getting everyone through quickly. They were also helpful with resources available to the guests late at night and easily walkable. Also, the airport shuttle was a nice bonus for those of us who needed to get back to the airport quickly due to travel delays.

They do not have central air, but instead have swamp coolers. In the middle of summer, they were barely functioning at an acceptable level. Also, inherently, those make the rooms quite muggy which leads to smells that can be unpleasant. My room was muggy and smelled unpleasant. Also, the ice machines didn't work on every floor, so you had to go on a hunt for them.

Do not recommend at all.

Honestly, not a lot. The hotel is in not such a bad part of Alexandria, so I guess that’s a plus. But even that is pushing it. The building is ratted down and not maintained at all.

The room was dirty, the floor smelled of cat pee. The breakfast was non-existent. They charged 22$ parking each day at the hotel, which should be free. The lift was so janky, it felt like it was going to break at any second. The front desk was super unprofessional — they didn’t explain anything, and were busy flirting/talking to a security guard than checking us in.

This hotel is definitely a good value for the money.

While this is an older hotel property, our room was clean and very comfortable. Across the street is a drug store, small supermarket and a 7-Eleven. The property is adjacent to I-395 for easy access to the freeway and a short drive to Reagan National Airport.

Staff was nice and polite.

For price, had to pay for parking, any room 5th floor and below does not have microwave, had to switch from floor 5 to 7 at 1145pm, no coffee to brew in rooms but there is a coffee pot, pool area closed, purchase included breakfast rep stated not included, Starbuck for complimentary breakfast- not buffet style, there is no complimentary coffee. Overall stay 4, would be 1 if staff did not treat me well and comfort of beds. Stay should be 85$ per night without parking charge unless valet parking.

It would’ve been better if we were placed in a room that had working ac and a working shower.

The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The tv being able to connect to my phone was good.

We were out in a room that was supposed to be closed off due to a broken AC unit(room 722). It was 78 degrees in there and we thought the ac would come on but 6 hours later when we came back to the room it was hotter than when we first arrived. The tub was also leaking water from the faucet even though it was turned all the way off. The pool was also closed due to what we were told “construction”. That was one of the main reasons why we chose this hotel.
