Our stay at the courtyard Marriott was very enjoyable. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable. The room was quiet. Staff did a great job at keeping it clean. Location was walking distance to many restaurants.
There were definitely discrepancies about the property amenities, boasting complimentary coffee and tea and free breakfast. This property DOES NOT offer free lobby coffee/breakfast—both are at a fee. Thought it was my error, but had other couple at the property state the same misconception. Website information needs updated, please

location
no liquid soap in shower dispenser. shredded sofa bolster and pillows. No clean towels, even when requested (as had to clean up a coffee accident). No coffee refill for second day, without going to desk...after requesting 5 hours earlier.
Bed headdboard is bolters, with pillowcase coverings that left 5" exposed on each one.

The facility was clean and nice
I booked thos hotel as we were moving our daughter to JMU. I booked a stay for four people. 3 adults one kid. I stated the kid is 15. So it is almost like having 4 adults. To save a little bit of money I opted to get a king with a pull out couch. It was advertised as though it sleeps four. The two girls don't mind sharing a bed and have always shared the pullout while on trips.
The pull out couch only slept one and there were no pillows or blankets in the room for the pullout. We go down stairs and the front desk states they have no additional rooms we could switch to and they have no additional blankets or pillows. She handed us a few sheets and lots of towels to use to cover up to stay warm.
For the price we payed, I was expecting a lot more. Worst experience ever
The only saving grace was the people were nice. It would have been even better to be compensated for our troubles and inconvience
My youngest slept on the floor the first night as she refused to try and share the king with her dad and I
Not cool.
If they feel that room can adequately sleep 4 they must be crazy.
Oh, we also booked for two nights
Came back for the second night and our room was not serviced. We asked about blankets and still had none to give. Nor pillows.

The balcony was an added touch we did not expect. Instant hot water when you turned on the faucet. Loved the shower. Clean fluffy towels. The air conditioning actually cooled down to where it was set.
the room could have been vacuumed a bit better. Had to ask for sheets and blankets for the pull-out bed. Was only given two fitted sheets for the pull-out bed, but not a big deal, we made do. The pool was closed for maintenance which upset the kiddos.

It’s located in a very popular location, much better hotel options in the surrounding area.
Everything was disappointing about this hotel. The manager was condescending and patronizing. They failed to accommodate the room I booked. The room I ended up with was dirty, there were crushed beer cans in the trash, dirty towels were on the floor and used wash cloths were inside the sink/shower. I checked back out within the hour I checked in. Will never stay at this franchise again. Still I’m the process of getting my money back, they are holding things up on their end.

We were bumped from our reservation because we were told they were overbooked - we had made our reservations in advance and had even called to say we would be late because of traffic. We were put into the Residence Inn which worked outwell and Marriott did cover the expense - for that we are grateful. So thank you. However, we would not book into the Courtyard in Harrisonburg again. We do have reservations made at the Residence Inn on our return trip on 6/28.

The hotel location was great. The room was very spacious and comfortable.
I was a little upset that the indoor pool was closed for maintenance on Memorial Day weekend

I liked that the property was in a convenient location. they offered a bistro and snacks. Also the staff was very friendly.
I did not like that booking.com did not make me aware the pool was out of service. Also i had to switch rooms because the first room had ants.

Room was clean and modern. Looks like it was recently renovated.
The staff was not very warm or welcoming. They were transactional at best and need a lesson in friendly customer service.
